Only fault would be cost... which all are expensive but you get what you pay for, I guess. They were very friendly/caring, quick to respond, very helpful and professional.

Be sure that people know to ask questions of the owners so they can make a better informed decision. Think of it as an interview and have your questions ready going in. [name removed] the owner is a good face for this particular group. The office staff have always been very helpful if something needed to be changed and the caregivers as a whole were very nice and kind to my mother in law.

The owner was great! The caregiver missed a number of days due to her health and family issues. My mother didn't want anyone but her original caregiver. We have since canceled their services and assigned our own family members to take ceremonial of her.

They were great. Loved them. All caregivers were punctual, friendly and professional. The owners and administrators I worked with made the entire experience easy and helped with my insurance company.

I found the office easy to work with but the caregivers varied quite a bit. We had one who took care of my husband who had Parkinson's. She was with him 24/7. She was wonderful and was indispensable for us while I was in the hospital with c-diff. When I got home she stayed another month and helped both of us. Some of the other carers were equally caring but it was difficult for Griswold to find day staff for our location in Cecil County. Most of the workers came from Hartford County and would discover that we were too far away. We would have callouts at the last minute(literally). The other agency we used had the same issue. Some carers were very proactive at seeing to [name removed] needs while others wouldn't notice he was trying to wheel himself to the bathroom until he was almost there. It was hard to get workers who could drive or were willing to drive our van. I did like the fact that Griswold didn't require an eight hour day.

My dad is very self sufficient so that's why the value is low. Yes, we would recommend their services to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Very friendly admin sales. Sweet but younger lackluster caregiver. But, Mom liked her just fine. Once had to fight for reduced fee due to aide being unavailable. They acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging me. Unfortunate memory.

We found a mix of really caring people and a couple of them who weren't the right fit for the job. Overall it was a good experience, and they took care of the problems when reported. Sadly it did happen more than once that the caregiver assigned could not make it and they could not provide a replacement.

The staff was friendly and efficient and knew the expectations of care. Communications were great as well.

They work w/you when you need to change the schedule. I have found them to be helpful! I have no further details to add--other than my experience has been good with Home Instead!

We wanted someone to do batch meals. They sent some one that was not a cook. The person was a hard worker and friendly. But our biggest concern was our mom's diet and that wasn't provided. We talked to administration and they were going to send someone else, but unfortunately our mom ended up in the hospital and then went home on hospice and died 2 days later.

Easy to set up the service , very responsive and willing to adapt to your needs. Homewell was very responsive and I'd consider trying at a later date

It took a little while to get the right person.

I think they can do a better job at pairing the right people. I would recommend to some of my friends that have long-term insurance because it is super expensive to have someone come in the house as well as have someone placed in the facility. And this economy we can't afford that so we are left to find alternative resources. State funding don't help the middle class. I wouldn't be surprised in some of the workers or caregivers have side contracts directly with the families.

They had immediate staff to help my mother with her needs. I like that they provide quality caregivers and have good follow-up with her schedule. They help the most by keeping her moving, making sure she is eating and keeping her company. They go above and beyond almost daily for her. They help by calling with holidays and schedule changes. They communicate with my mom and me, and they made sure the schedule was taken care of when she was in the hospital. I appreciate that [name removed] is hard-working and self-motivated. She came and knew what needed to be done and did it all before having to be asked.

I'm happy with them. They do some cleaning for me. Some are better than others. For the ones that were not the best, they either destroyed my vacuum or only gave me a shower and did nothing else. They always answer any questions I've had.

I would let others looking know that it won't be the same care taker every shift, so it might take a while to get all the routines down, but all the care takes were really kind and helpful.

Everything was good. Our caregiver [name removed] was great and the perfect fit for my loved one.

We had an issue with billing that prevented this from being a 5. Both caregivers were wonderful and attentive. Before and during our time with the provider, administrators were prompt, friendly, and attentive. Our time with the provider occurred over Thanksgiving. The caregivers were included in all our meals. The provider stepped up at the last minute to assist us over a holiday weekend. I am most grateful for their willingness to do so.

My parents like the caregiver. Very nice lady and competent. My mom says she always does what she is asked to do. She just wishes she would do some things without being asked. Otherwise very good caregiver.
