They were incredibly responsive and always willing to work with schedule changes and personnel changes. As with any home care agency, some of their providers were better than others

We had no idea where to start with finding mom an in home caregiver followed by a place to live. So the person we spoke with who is local to KC was very helpful. The person who was setting up the referrals was helpful too, although I had asked her to wait a couple of weeks to send the referrals for the apartments until we go the in home caregiver settled, so when I started receiving calls from them right away , it was a little overwhelming. But, overall no was very thankful for your service.

Billing is an issue. When I indicated I didn't need a caregiver one was sent anyway and I sent her home and was still charged. I should review the bills before they are taken out of my checking account. This is too much hassle

Our caregiver was very experienced in dealing with Alzheimer’s disease and taught me a lot about how to handle specific issues. She genuinely cared about us and even visited my husband when he was in the hospital after his fall and hip surgery.

The workers/helper who worked with my mom were wonderful. The minimum number of hours per day was burdensome. If I could have spread those hours out, I might still be using their services. There was very little flexibility in scheduling.

Admin team is responsive and pleasant. Caregivers seem mixed is skill levels and customer service. Interview the proposed caregiver and keep doing so until you are pleased.

How do you know if it will work? I mean …you have a stroke and go home not being able to do much at all and you need some help. I never thought I would need so much assistance just to do basic stuff. And in walks [name removed]! Now what’s gotta be hard for anybody in her position is to learn a different person a lot. And I’m not an easy person to live around. Yet she just slept in and was great with me. It’s not to say there haven’t been issues, but nothing that was ever unable to be dealt with immediately and perfect. I couldn’t have done this without her. This journey of healing is going to go on for probably another year but what has happened in the interim with 10 year is she is helped in every way shape and possible, and even the smallest of things is not a bother for her. And in her business of Work, you need to be able to switch hats and takeoff in a different direction multiple times a day. [name removed] is done and I am so thankful she deserves everything.

Friendly, first few caregivers not so great. [name removed] was a 10. Quality again same answer. Never had to ask [name removed]to do anything, she was on it from the start. Not so much with the others. Admin was ok, mostly billing interactions. Value, yes for [name removed], she even came to the funeral. Stellar employee. You need to clone her.

we had many different caregivers- most were wonderful- those that we didn't like we let the office know. I had a great relationship with the office staff- the caregivers were sometimes short staffed- especially on weekends- the office staff would pitch in for us . We used them for about 3 and a half months before my mom passed We had someone at the house 9am-1pm and 4-8pm Most caregivers were excellent- there were a few that we told the office staff not to allow them to come back There was a wide range in ages and abilities. We had a list of specific things that we had the caregivers doing for/with my mom

The care givers are friendly and very kind I wish there was a way to read about their experiences and backgrounds whenever a Caregiver is assigned that we do not know

There is no guarantee of continuing to have the same person. Ask for online access to the schedules--there's an app. Provide info about what you expect.

They don't have English speaking aids. They say they do , but a lot of them don't really understand .

I would tell other families to expect high turnover in people that come to assist in the home. Very confusing for elders who have beginning stages of dementia

Sometimes it takes a little time to find the right fit/personality to take care of your loved one. I would recommend to others.

Staff was very friendly but there were some facilities you guys didn't deal with and that was what we ultimately chose so you were not able to help much My parents were in the Frank - dad passed 6 months after they moved there and we moved my mom together own apartment became needed 24 hour care and paying for that on top of the assisted living was way too expensive.

I would recommend they contact you. In fact, I already have. Thanks for all your help. I will continue to recommend you.

1. Care takers were knowledgeable- making my experience more comfortable 2 I had 2 caretakers in 12 hr shifts, there was definitely a language barrier more so with the day shift girl- but I appreciated their efforts and their help 3. Care was very good, they had to prep my meals and do everything for me . They were very conscientious and did whatever I asked for 4. Admin staff, although trying hard to be professional came across wrong, had problems setting up my payments that were auto drawn from my account. I never saw a bill or a receipt. I would rather have a paper bill and right a check. And the girls did not get paid. Until she figured it out ( like over a month) because of that hassle , my help threatened to quit, so a little stressful 5. I Value for the$- Again my caretakers did a great job. I was comfortable with them and they did a lot for the money the received - they should have been paid a lot more and maybe not so much to the administration

In general they did well. Communication was not as clear as desired due to the client being unable to communicate well. They did not talk to me enough for clarification.

A few call-offs or no-call/no-shows, or a couple of disinterested caregivers prevent a 5 rating. I would recommend Amada, but also to report to the manager any unapproved absences or disinterested caregivers. Amada will want to know if that happens. They are very good about responding.

At this time, my parents love their caregivers. I would recommend them. The whole process of taking care of senior parents is overwhelming. It has been nice to know that mom is being taken care of when I can't be with her. It isn't perfect, but it can't be. Home Instead has always done their best to make it as close to perfect as they can. We are blessed to have them.
