You don’t have a level low enough to mark. I moved my sister out after 13 days. Her care was very poor. She fell 5 times and after meeting with staff to increase her level of care she still did not receive appropriate care. She was found in soiled clothing late in the afternoon wearing the same sleepwear we had put on her the night before. She was in the memory care unit and the last straw was they found her on the bathroom floor naked in the morning so I’m sure no one was watching or paying attention to alarms that were in the room to let you know of any problem. She is improving at home with excellent care. I would not recommend Grand Villa to anyone. It still cost us a month for the poor care since we did not give a 30 day notice. There are some many issues I can’t possibly cover in the limited space.

Run, don't walk from this place. I have a family member that was one of the first residents to enter Peachtree. They have failed miserably at doing anything they said they would be doing. It was built brand new but the management has changed hands multiple times. The food that should be being served here is not happening. It has actually been being brought over there from the nursing home that is in the same location. Limited to no activity is being provided. I could continue to go on, but want. There are to many out there to choose from that actually provide the services they state to have and are much nicer than this place. Run, Run, Run..............

FACT: From 2016-2018 my mother was a resident at Grand Villa of Dunedin FL. The first 6 Mos she was in assissted living part of the facility. When I would go to the facility to check in on her progress no one knew bcuz no one read her file, they couldn't understand english, they had no idea who she was bcuz"they just started working there",they said she had to make independent choices about her care and they couldn't help her even though I specifically stated she had ALZHEIMERS.6 mos later they moved her to Memory Care of the facility bcuz she wondered off the premises. When they moved her they had 2 caregivers working in the Memory Care. A temporary head nurse who had no idea how to deal with my mother's anxiety for being moved. They put her in a room she didn't recognize for 2 weeks bcuz they were short staffed on getting her room ready for her with her belongings.The head manager quit, the temporary head nurse quit and they send my mother to the hospital bcuz they couldn't deal with her anxiety. For the the next 18 mos the new head nurse [Name removed] called me once a month to complain about my mother being too much to care for until The Grand Villa evicted her.Uncaring, Inexperienced, High Turnover,Constant Price HikingFacility.

Read the Health Dept violations and reports of this facility. My love one experienced a huge german cockroach infestation. The staff is lazy both in care and cleaning. They do not give you what is promised and constantly play the blame game against each other. The medication management plan does not work. Your loved one complains, believe them. Only one thing is good and that is the food, but beware of the salt and sodium, junk food, and lack of concern what they eat when most are not very mobile.

$1500 more per month than any place I have researched. Less service for that money and would not pick up client if they slipped onto the floor incurring more charges for emergency services. Dark halls but nice rooms. Too big of a kitchen instead of putting the square footage into living space.

This place looked depressing and the patient rooms disheveled. It smelled of urine the minute I walked in.

Our experience here was not a good one. My loved one was in the memory care section and we had a big problem with other residents being allowed to wander in and out of her apartment. Night and day she would just have strangers come in, and they said there wasn't anything they could do about it. It just felt like they never had enough staff on hand, and the care suffered for it. I also was never impressed with the food.

They started out really good, and then they had a change of the management. After that the care went downhill. They got a new nurse, and he was being neglected. He fell right before we moved him and they didn't know for 3-4 days that he broke his hip. He had blood on his elbow a few days later, he hadn't been showered and it was still there. We noticed when we moved him out there were a ton of vacancies.

Putting my mother there was the worst decision I ever made! The management was only there to make money. The staff was actually mean to my mother who was still recovering from pneumonia and was also very confused. The food was a joke. For dinner residents were offered EITHER a bowl of canned soup or a plain sandwich. I am so thankful we pulled her out after less than 1 month even if we did not get our deposit back. They need to be closed down! If I could rate this with 0stars I would!

This facility is VERY understaffed. They sell you with the million dollar + renovations and large staff. The facility is beautiful but looks are deceiving for sure. My loved one was there for one month and they did not address his needs at all. When he passed away they didn't even have the decency to call and extend their condolences. The day after he passed, they called to ask when I would be removing his items. I explained that I would get their after making funeral arrangements and the person said, "well when will that be?" Very, Very rude and unacceptable. You would think the staff would have sensitivity training since they work with the elderly. Definitely not the case. 3 weeks after his death, I received a bill, not a card for charges incurred before he resided there and for the month after his death. Ridiculous! Stay away from this place if you want your loved one to flourish in an assisted living/dementia facility.

We were not happy from day one. We were concerned with the level on non-activity going on. They had a great activities board, but things never really happened. They did not respond to medical emergencies in a timely manor. Their reports were not thoroughly filled out. The communication between the staff is not great. They seemed to be understaffed, mealtimes took a very long time.

Based on our families experience we would not recommend Grand Villa of Largo to anyone. Our loved one had supposedly fell out of bed and we were never called until the next morning and that was even hours after our loved one had being admitted to the hospital. It did not meet any of the expectations our family had and we would advise families to be vigilant when looking into communities for their loved ones

During our loved one stay, they became extremely malnourished. They did not assist them with eating or drinking water like we advised them to do. This caused them to end up in the hospital for [dates removed]. We were billed heavily even after our loved one left the community. Also there are absolutely no activities unless its bingo, there is nothing else going on. We feel that this community is a rip off, it is a big scam. Even the doctors at the hospital did not want them going back there.

I would tell others to not take your loved ones to Grand Villa. We made arrangements a month ahead of time and the day of me taking my mother here, her room as not ready, there was no bed, the previous occupants possessions were in the room. They lost my moms laundry and mixed it up so when I went to get her stuff she had a lot of things that weren't hers. As a result of them not paying attention to my mother, she fell and broke her arm and her leg and never returned. They also never lived up to their word.

The care staff at the community was excellent, however the management and upper level staff was fake and not helpful They said they could do this and do that, but they never did. The communication was also lacking

I filed a formal complaint against Peachtree Assisted Living facility located in Trussville, [name removed] and the Director, [name removed] due to the Covid-19 outbreak to the ALFC-ADPH and other State of Alabama agencies that investigate along with other of my concerns. I came to pick my Mother up on [date removed], this was her last day at Peachtree in the Assisted Living Facility. [Name removed], the Director along with her staff were not wearing gloves while handling my mother's belongings nor were the staff wearing gloves when they brought my mother out, they were physically helping my mother out the front door which is a violation of health care procedures during COVID-19. The staff came out and was hugging my other family members without using the 6 foot distancing rule and then proceeded to go back into the facility to handle other residents, this too was a health violation due to the COVID-19 outbreak. My mother is 90 years old and has COPD, Congestive Heart Failure along with Dementia and she did not need to be exposed, it is life threating more so for due to her age and health conditions. There is one resident that has full blown Alzheimer's and has walked out several times and the Trussville Police found him and brought him back, This is not a memory care facility and so therefore why do they accept residents into the Assisted Facility with Dementia and Alzheimer's? Money perhaps? [Name removed] has the most unprofessional attitude as well as the most unprofessional method of running this facility. She does not return phones calls. Both my sister and myself has tried calling her on multiple occasions and she NEVER returned our calls until we contacted the Ombudsman and got her involved. [Name removed]interjected her personal opinions about me regarding my mother, I was trying to have a financial discussion and she did the same to my sister. If you are thinking about putting your loved in this place, run do not walk out of this place!

In the first week of my Mother moving into Dancing River, early in the morning around 7:00 am, she sat up in her bed (she requires assistance to get out of bed) and accidentally slipped to the floor. She pressed her alert pendant provided by Dancing River while she is bleeding from both arms and one leg from severe scraps she received. I received a call from Dancing River. I asked how long it took to respond to my Mom's aid. I was told they were not sure. She had significant scrapes on both arms and one leg as a result of the fall. Mom said it took a while for an attendant to arrive. I inquired with the Nurse and Director on the to the amount of time it took for the staff to respond to assist my mother. They advised it took 14 minutes to get to my Mother while she was laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. UNACCEPTABLE! The acting Director told me they hoped something like that wouldn't happen again. Really......He was not impressive when I met with him. I will say the Nurse [name removed] was great with my Mom, but she is only one person. We made arrangements to move my Mom to a different assisted living residence and moved my Mom out within the week. It took three weeks fyou,''Dancing River is for you! If you care about your family member, consider other options.

It was terrible. After 5 falls in less than 2 weeks we left the facility but still we were charged the full month charge because we didn’t give 30 day notification that we were moving out. We met with several people regarding my sisters care but things never improved. She is now doing much better at home with private care.
