Brookdale

My Mom lives here currently and I feel like she’s getting real good treatment. The staff is very friendly and, if I have any questions, seems to be able to answer any questions. Everyone knows her by name and addresses her as such. There are plenty of activities available and the facility will take the residents out on excursions that they call “Joy Rides”. They also bring in entertainment in the dining room about once a week. The food is very good and there are usually 2 choices for each meal. The facility seems to be kept very clean and housekeeping is scheduled to clean her room once a week. From what I’ve seen, everything looks and smells fairly new. I would recommend them.

I toured this facility and it was really nice. I liked it because it has a homey feel to it. However, it did feel a little closed in and my Mom has claustrophobia, so overall it wasn’t ideal. The courtyard didn’t have any cushiony seating available either but they said they’d be able to bring pillows out to make it more comfortable. I was able to take a look at the rooms and one of them had a lovely little balcony on it. The prices overall seemed good and I think it would’ve been a good choice for her if it weren’t for the narrow spaces.

Our experience with Brookdale Lafayette was very good overall. I have no issues, and I feel they did a good job caring for my loved one. I feel that the staff was helpful and kind, the food was good, they offer plenty of activities, and the community itself was very clean.

My husband is settling in here. The staff is helpful and caring. They try to engage him to join the daily activities. The housekeeping does the best they can do at keeping it clean. They get 3 meals a day which is mediocre. I would recommend this community.

The sales person was new and could not provided very much information. I have followed up with an e-mail of questions. This place does not require the person to assist in transferring, so that was a big plus. The pricing is a la cart, which I'm not too happy about. It was clean with wide hallways and nice sized rooms. It reminded me more of a rehab center which is not a bad thing. The ratio of caregivers to patients is 1/4 which is really excellent.

Toured 12/21/17. Nice Location, fantastic staff. Problem is two bedroom does not have living room and far distance from my sister in NY.

I toured this community. It was pretty nice but had a little older feeling. The carpets were worn and stained but they were supposedly going to be getting new carpets soon. It had a nice atmosphere, the staff seemed to be active and like they were doing a lot with the residents. They even had some crafts going on while we were there. The rooms were okay but they don’t come furnished so it looked a little bare when we saw it. However, the person that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and informative. Overall, it was a nice facility but didn’t fit our specific needs.

Overall, I feel that my experience with Brookdale Skyline has been good. There have been some glitches and miscommunications along the way, but they are often willing to come up with a solution that suits both of us. They have a full schedule if activities her including a gym and a pool. I also find that the community is clean and well-maintained, and I feel its location is ideal. Brookdale has an excellent reputation, and for the most part, I think they've done a good job so far. I'm pleased.

I went on a tour here and it was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions. The rooms were on the smaller side and it just wasn't a good fit for my mom or her needs. I would recommend people tour this community before making a decision.

Your first hand experiences really help others. Thanks! My dad was a resident at Brookdale Beckett Meadows in their memory care facility. We were very pleased with the care he received and the love that was shown to him during his time there. Alzheimer's is a tough disease but having my dad in a place where he was loved and respected until the end was a huge comfort. My hat is off to all the loving staff at Beckett Meadows -[name removed]!

I thought the facility was a little run down. Although the sales manager said a renovation is in the plans for 2018. The distance for moms doctors appointments and infusion care would have to be altered. The room setup a plus.

Most of this community is assisted living and they have one small section for residents that have Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other memory conditions. They staff here are all really nice and compassionate as well. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right fit for my mother. They actually recommended another Brookdale property that deals with more memory care in the same city. Overall, it is a very nice community, just not the right fit of my mother.

We were here only a month my mom needed to be in the memory care here and when we got in there the price all of a sudden changed. The care here was good here and helped mom. The place stayed clean and tidy. She ate well 3x a day. She would get involved with the daily activities. I would recommend this community on the knowledge of the pricing.

My sister has only been here for a short time, but so far, things seem to going very well at Brookdale. The staff is very helpful, it's a clean faculty, and I like that they have an intermediate program for those between assisted living and memory care. The food is very good here. They serve a Mediterranean diet, which is excellent, because that is what my loved one prefers. I also really like that everyday, they have about 6 or 7 activities going on, even on weekends. It seems to be a very lively community, and we are very pleased with it so far.

My loved one is at Brookdale, and so far, our experience has been really good. The staff has been more than kind and accommodating. They call if there are any changes, and they have gone out of their way to be helpful. The food is good, and though my loved one doesn't have much of an appetite, I believe he is eating well. As far a cleanliness goes, sometimes things aren't as clean as I would like, but I think they do the best that they can. Overall, I feel Brookdale has done a good job, and I would recommend them to others.

When I first walked into the facility, I noticed the staff was just exceptional. I feel like they take really good care of my Uncle. From all of my experiences with them, they seem really kind. My Uncle also says the food is okay. I would recommend this community to other families.

This is a very nice community. It is small and seems like a very comfortable environment. Very friendly staff. Rooms look comfy. Nice dining room. I like the fact that everyone knows each other like a big family.

We toured at Brookdale while looking for a new place for my loved one. This community is very nice, and they have a great sales team. However, for my loved one, the community was too fancy. She just did not feel it would be the best fit for her.
