Brookdale

My husband passed away already. But we are satisfied with the experience. [name removed][unreadable] is very great staff and Memory Team.

Moving in was easy, accommodations are nice. I am not excited about the sparse communication, but I understand

They are doing some painting and fixing the carpet, and other upgrades around the community. The food is pretty good. They have bands, picnics in the frontyard, and happy hour. If residents, participate in activities, there is so much to do. Overall, they are doing the best that they can.

My experience was very good and I would give Strong remarks overall to Brookdale North Raleigh.

We have not been able to visit the community ourselves but from the sounds of it our loved one is really enjoying it. The sales lady [name removed] that we met with was fantastic. However it bus transportation has been a little bit of a let down.

Brookdale Apache Junction is a very friendly, positive, and very peaceful place to live. Overall wonderful place.

Overall we like Brookdale Weatherford. They do not provide a true diabetic diet, they just provide low carb meals in smaller portions, but it costs an extra $300 and he was always hungry. They do not do insulin injections. They said that they could handle that which is why we moved him here, but they are unable to do that and I think others need to be made aware of that. They do need to be more up front with what they can provide in the beginning. Other than this- we have been happy with the facility. They went out of their way to check his blood-sugar a lot even during the night and we appreciate that.

A caring community.

For the most part, I think it has been a really good experience. A couple of things - she doesn't always like the food, and it used to be better than it is now. And occasionally she has water bugs coming out of the drain in the bathroom. But the people there are nice and very helpful. They have a lot of activities. I like that they have a resident group that gets together to talk to management about improvements they would like to see. I would just like her to enjoy the food more.

My loved one has gained a healthy amount of weight and seems to be eating well. [name removed] was super caring to her and would check on her and pray with her. They were able to resolve her paranoia due to dementia, and she now feels safe there. All the workers know who she is and come up and giver her hugs, which I also see them do with the other patients in memory care. If there's ever an incident, they always call me to let me know what's going on. I thought their exercise classes were great. I just wish her bathroom was kept a little cleaner.

They really promote of sense of community there, we have been overall really pleased with Brookdale. At times the staff does seem rushed to do thing, so they aren't able to give their fullest attention to the residents, however they are great to work with and the evening staff is just wonderful. As far as senior living goes, it is a very good place. Our loved one is really happy with the food there and enjoys getting to know all the other residents. She also really likes her room, it is a very nice size.

The staff is great, aides are wonderful. They keep the same people for mom's group, they make a strong effort to do so. Very good with communication and getting back with me on requests and medical info. The only downside is I feel that I must clean the room when visiting. But overall the facility is great thus far.

We are so thankful for Brookdale Owasso, now they are understaffed like everyone else but every time that we call for a request or a question they try their absolute best to accommodate us. Our loved one really enjoys the bingo they have going on twice a week, there is also bean bag toss and jewelry making. We see the other staff members painting the ladies nails which is fun. We would recommend this community to other families if it met their needs - just with staffing this is a good place for those who do not need to much on hand care.

My loved ones love the community and are super happy here. They love the food, activities, and their view here. My loved ones were able to make friends quickly. There are lots of a la carte pricing if your loved ones would need additional assistance or care.

The staff are wonderful, I can tell they care. My dad is happy, I would definitely recommend this facility. It would be five stars if they had more help. The staff is overworked, but still have a positive attitude.

It has changed since the beginning. The staffing has been better since COVID. The staff is really good. My mother does not complain about the food, she seems to eat to everything. They did not have anyone over activities for a while but they just hired a new director, so now they have a full time person, and plan to get a part time person. Prior to getting a new director, mom enjoyed Bingo, and they offered exercise every morning, and they have a bowling game. I like the facility because it is only dementia patients. Mom gets great care. If a loved one has dementia, go to a facilty that only deals with that. A lot do not have the training. Someone who knows what a dementia patient is very important, and where staff is focused only on dementia. Once per month, they have family educational night, in which the former caregivers can come in and you can talk about what loved ones are going through.

Everyone is very friendly. The place could use a little updating. I think that my aunt is treated very nicely there.

Brookdale Granger was nice, but is geared toward people who are much further along the dementia progression than my father. Also, it was on the small side, in terms of people in the community.
