We moved our Mom from a facility in NC back to her hometown of Hagerstown. We were so disappointed and discouraged with the care she received in NC that we were hesitant to start the process all over. After interviewing 6 facilities in the Hagerstown area we settled on Brookdale. In the year our Mom has been a resident of the memory care facility at Brookdale we have been impressed with how well they communicate with us, their caring attitudes, and all the activities they do with the residents.

Brookdale DOWLEN Oaks is a very warm and welcoming assisted living community that all would be blessed to have their loved one reside. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable with a nurturing spirit showing their residents the best care. This community believes in living your best life with beautiful outdoor areas and activities for their residents and family to enjoy year round. If you are looking for a forever home/assisted living, you should schedule a tour soon!

My family and loved one had a good experience with Brookdale Carriage Club. The staff are amazing. They are always willing to help the family and residents. Everyone from staff to the residents are friendly. The food is hit or miss, but they are trying to improve. Overall, we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

We toured Brookdale Westover Hills during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. We had a very detailed tour, it was great! They also gave us a brochure, guide, and the monthly Activity Calendar. They answered all of our questions!

We toured Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. Our tour was very thorough. We were provided a guide, brochure, and a monthly Activity Calendar. All of our questions were answered.

We toured Brookdale Silver Lake during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. This facility was good. It was set up well, they had a therapy dog, cooking activities, etc. The downfall was that they didn't have/offer excursions.

Our family had an in person tour with Brookdale Melbourne and it really did seem nice but the community was just to small and there were no apartments, just one room.

Very good, dedicated staff. Administrative level is very responsive to any problems. Would like to see more activities, especially simple crafts. Please try to keep yearly increases more affordable. I would highly recommend this facility.

This is the only facility in Colorado Springs that offers all 4 levels of care. Independent living has about 200 apartments, Assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation and nursing care. There is move along progression as needed I will also note that they give discounts to military!!! I would recommend Brookdale Skyline.

The new activities director, [name removed], is doing a great job in having a variety of activities daily and making each resident feel included and special. She is going above and beyond to arrange very special events for the residents to enjoy. She is making their lives better and healthier with exercise and fun and creative activities. She truly cares about the residents and the residents are fortunate to have her. Thank you [name removed]

Mom is happy there, and the people are friendly. Value for cost can always be improved. The sales team is great until after move in, and then family has to chase team for responses regarding billing and minor repairs. Mom picked This community, because of the activities, location, people, and it's pretty and clean.

I toured with Brookdale Desert Ridge. The location of this facility was not great. The view looked at office buildings. There was not really any outside area to sit and enjoy. These are the main reasons we did not choose Brookdale.

We picked this community, because I visited two places. Desert Ridge is bright and cheery. I would recommend Desert Ridge. I am concerned the elevator has needed to be repaired a few times. Also, how the residents in wheelchairs would get out of the building in the case of fire.

Found the tour very complete clean and pleasant. Residents very friendly.

When I entered, I liked my first impression. I had favorable reactions to [name removed]the marketing director and to[name removed] the nurse. I liked all the outdoor space opportunities. I liked the configuration of his room which I was able to decorate like his room here at home had been.

Overall pleased staff is competent and caring do not notice a lot of turnover in the months which is important. To me for dementia patients they get used to staff and staff gets used to their particular needs

Brookdale is small enough of a facility that you are briefed and reminded continuously what and where to go. They have made sure my mom is comfortable and most needs are met immediately.

We picked this community, because it was welcoming, cozy atmosphere, best food choices and most we could afford. It's been a place where Mom can be busy and aspire to live her best life. I do wish the personal care staff were more consistently thorough.The executive director is awesome and really cares about people. She gets things done.

Staff are friendly and kind. My family member really likes it there and seems happy. Communication could be better overall. There is lack of knowledge with some staff in caring for certain health related matters. On many occasions I've had to bring issues to the attention of upper management staff. Monthly rate went up very significantly after only several months of residing there! Security concerns with certain areas of the facility. Short-staffed on occasions.
