Brookdale

My wife and I have now lived here for three months and after two month of unpacking the boxes with the community's help, we are settled in. After retiring we went through a ten year period of the children grown on their own and keeping up with the home maintenance, we needed a change. We are meeting new people which has been a major plus. Our palete is for the exotic food we miss!

The nursing staff seems great! However, they could use some more help when it comes to the weekends, our loved ones care seems to drop some on the weekends due to the staffing shortages.

We chose Brookdale in Coeur d'Alene because it was within my father's monthly budget. They also offered us a short "rundown" or a short time of doing full pay before they can accept Medicaid should he need that in the future. The staff is friendly. Facilities are middle of the road, but that is fine. They offer both independent and assisted living under the same roof, so as my father's health changes, he will simply move to an assisted living room... not to a new facility. They will also allow a person with memory issues to stay, as long as they are not a flight risk, or harmful to themselves or others. And if a resident needs memory care, they can transfer to Spokane Valley: avoiding an additional rundown in another facility. Even though there is high turnover and the food isn't that great, he is staying with Brookdale because of the aging in place benefits.

Good place! Lots of activities.

I would say that I would highly recommend the Brookdale facility in Windsor, especially if the person needing the facility is social. The staff and Management Team are exceptional and I trust that Mom is being well taken care of; I wish she had been ready sooner, the adjustment has been hard on her but she just turned 98 so any change would be a lot now. The food is also delicious; again, Mom's narrow palate is the problem, not the food.

Staff seemed friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean, and they seemed to take care of messes quickly. Kept his apartment nice. Staff all seemed very nice. They took very good care. My Father in law said the meals were good and they offered choices. My father in law didn't really get involved in the activities at Brookdale It's hard to judge value/cost...there's no getting around that it's expensive...I guess upon further reflection the size of the room (studio) compared to the cost would be my biggest complaint...but overall it was a great place...just not a good fit for my Father in law

Based on our experience with Brookdale Wilsonville, the staff members are very friendly but the meals could be improved.

This facility was the first one I’ve toured that felt like my mom would get the care like her family might give. Everyone I met was friendly, and there is longevity in staff here that you don’t normally see. Also, they have 4 stars with DHHS, which means they are consistently good over time. We ended up putting my mom in Independent Living, but this was my top choice for AL.

I am happy that I chose to live here. The staff works very hard to make each of us to feel special. Most of the meals in the dining room are ok but some meats are tough. And the fruit cup usually has unripened fruit. Which I can overlook.

Brookdale was the best for Assisted Memory Care Living. It looks like a hotel. The food wonderful, staff friendly, lots of activities, hair salon great, bingo, entertainment, happy hour,fitness, crafts, book club, movies, and outings outside.

We are very happy we found Brookdale. We may have had easier time if the community was closer to us. I would recommend, absolutely! They are very accommodating when we call to talk to my mother. We have even done FaceTime but it seemed to be confusing to her. We have attended The Cinco de Mayo celebration and it was enjoyed by all.

Brookdale is a quality place for mom. They have taken good care of her. The staff is friendly and very helpful when asked. The place is overall clean but sometimes her room especially her bathroom could be better. The price is a little pricey but overall I am happy with our experience with Brookdale.

I was not sure if I was making the right decision. I had visited a few other facilities and this seemed to suit my requirements. The place seemed cheerful and residents were involved in some activity when I visited ; yoga, B Fit,Mix and mingle, water aerobics etc. There was nothing sad or lonely about the place The staff are very friendly and ready to help. The food is simple but tasty and suits me. The rent etc is high but other facilities charge high rents too . I have been here for a month and a half and feel I will be ok here!

My mom was previously a resident at Brookdale Madison West and her experience at this facility was very good. They made my mom as comfortable as possible for someone with a terminal illness. I would recommend Brookdale Madison West to others.

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Tramway Ridge and the overall experience was good. The friendliness was great. The staff and care services were good. Based on our experience, I would recommend Brookdale Tramway Ridge to others.

They were very helpful during a very stressful time. From the first moment we walked in the door they were welcoming and very helpful. They made the transition from senior living to memory care very easy.

Would prefer to have more flexibility in seating in dining room for meals. Addressed with leadership and informed people can select to sit anywhere.

I would say I feel my mom is safe and they do a lot off offsite activities that makes her happy.

What our family likes the most about Brookdale Newberg is that the location is closer to her doctors and her family. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
