Brookdale

The community is small and they seem to have enough help on hand. No improvements needed. The facility was great when my husband passed away on [date removed]. Yes, we would recommend Brookdale Brookfield Capitol Drive to other families based on the experience we have had.

The main reason we chose Brookdale Northwest Greensboro was because of the friendliness of the person I spoke to. Unfortunately, she is no longer employed there. The biggest complaint was not getting an itemized bill! I tried since my mom started living there to get an itemized bill! It never happened! I wanted to know exactly what I paid for monthly, since the amount would change.

I like the apartment itself...good size and layout. What can be improved on, more attention to hearing impaired and dining wait staff to be more friendly to residents and knowledgeable about resident needs.

We chose Brookdale Carriage Club Providence because of the villa with a walk out patio for her dogs, the phone contact daily, and the graduated level of care. According to my loved one who is there, you need to work on the food quality and the food service.

Very much care a bout the residents as individuals. Maintenance is very quick to respond. I would recommend Brookdale Monroe

It is inviting and cozy place to call home. The staff is friendly and they do try to have events often for resident and their families. They went up on cost and that is why we left.

Staff is very friendly and caring and the meals have been above average. My mom was in Assisted Living for one week and then memory care so we had a rocky start . Some of what the marketing team promised was not realistic according to the clinical staff .I have learned to dial back my expectations . She had been in assisted living elsewhere before so this was not new for us . As most places their has been some turnover with the staff .On the whole things are running smoothly now . My sister and I alternate going every evening to visit and help with nightly routine.

My mom could answer these better since she lives there, but these are my responses. Brookdale Creve Coeur has been just the right choice for my Mom. She is safe, comfortable, and surrounded by new friends.

Believe they are understaffed but the staff that is there is very nice. At times they feel rushed and some residents requests can take awhile to fulfill.

Brookdale Monroe is very clean and friendly. My only complaint is the price, but it is a nice place and you have to pay for quality. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had.

Very friendly people. Care and service are good when fully staffed. Administration doesn't always support the actual workers. They really just need a better space. The activity director does a great job coming up with things. They need to freshen up the media room and use it. They need to make better use of the entire upstairs common areas. Brookdale corporate needs to open the checkbook because they certainly have the cash.

The meals and dining gets a 3 based on parents feedback and the activities gets an na as parents not participating yet. We appreciate that there are trained people to help them at all times. Mom has mentioned some delays in response time. But she recognizes that the caretakers are helping a lot of people and can't be a multi places

We found their staff to be very responsive when we had questions or concerns. My mother seemed happy while she was there. I'm now moving my mom from that facility to a place closer to me so really don't have more than a couple of months of experience with them. It's a smaller and older facility so it doesn't have some of the amenities that are in larger ones. I think there is benefit to considering Brookdale because it is smaller and a little more intimate than a larger facility

The staff administrative, maintenance, support and health are all very nice, helpful and supportive. If there was one thing I would change it would be more oversight on those with stage 2 dementia. Our fear is that our mom will get lost and forget where she is. She is not there yet.

I love [name removed] the receptionist- she is the perfect first point of contact upon entering. The nurses are wonderful as are the CNA's. [name removed] the Activities Director was absolutely phenomenal with the residents. He had a calming effect on everyone and the residents LOVED him. He found another position with a company that will train him to be Director of their facility. [name removed] was an amazing Director but she wanted to move up to be a District Manager and found another position with a company willing to promote from within. The community liaison/ salesman [name removed] was also wonderful. He quit shortly after [name removed]. These people really were the reason I chose Brookdale Granger; I felt comfortable with them caring for my mom. Now they are all gone and it isn't the same. Brookdale has 700 locations and Corporate makes business decisions that don't align with a "home" atmosphere. It feels like a business now. There should be a separate memory care wing. My mother sits at a table with a woman who has severe dementia and can be quite unfriendly which makes meals uncomfortable for others at the table. We were told before she moved in that new carpet would be installed after the first of the year in all of the hallways. It has not been replaced yet and looks pretty bad.

The staff at their facility is by far the main reason we have chosen this facility. They are always kind, loving, and patient with the residents.

The staff in memory care was very attentive to my sister. Quality of food. Yes, we would recommend Brookdale Chanate to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Staff is slow to respond to my husband's calls. I find that going to the facility often gets him better results. I feel I have to make sure things happen. Examples: showers, therapy, podiatrist, walking, applying cream to prevent sores.

They seem to know each resident personally. They keep track of who has appeared for meals and check on those who don't. I have seen them in action during an emergency and they are prompt and all hands on deck. The activities director interacts beautifully with the residents.

I wasn't the client. My husband thought it was great. The staff was always friendly if not always prompt. They let him walk around at 3am without bothering him. There is a library, a billiards table and seemingly hundreds of jigsaw puzzles. There was always a vegetarian option, even if it was not that creative. He said he made friends. The facility was always clean and never smelled bad. They didn't lose his clothes. He was there for two weeks in respite care and the cost was $[removed]. The room was like a hotel room with a big bed and lots of space.
