Brookdale

I have to give it a 4 out of 5 only because of the nursing and medical staff. My only complaint is about the medical staff. The doctor that they had at the time was uncaring and constantly on is phone texting while he was with my mom. It ended up that she had stomach cancer and complained of serious stomach pain and he never referred her to be checked out. I asked on every occasion that I be notified when he was visiting and I was never notified. The medical staff is very disappointing but the rest of the staff is great. Even the nursing staff mishandled a situation with my mom.

It seems like the day staff is on top of their game but a skeleton crew at night. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families it's a nice small community.

The overall experience is good. . Just some challenges with working out some kinks and getting ahold of certain people. But nice facility friendly employees and clean. I would absolutely recommend to others who are searching for care for their loved ones.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a lot of good activities for the residents and the facility is very clean/well kept. The only down side I see is the price but you get a lot with it.

My mother-in-law has been happy with the staff being kind and helpful when she needs anything. She is very satisfied with the food and the dining room. So far she is not getting involved in the activities. Which is disappointing to us. We are hoping she will put herself out there more and try to join in instead of calling us and complaining how bored she is. Even though she would be doing the same thing at her old house. We are disappointed with the slow response from the maintenance department. We have been asking for a grab bar in her bathroom by the toilet since April. Overall we think Brookdale is a great place for my mother-in-law to be living. It gives us peace of mind.

Staff is find it just took a 2-3 weeks to get nursing staff and Admin on the same page and get in the routine on all his individual notes in his chart not skip some meds etc. Admin was not on same page but finally got there. Just seem we had one level of expectation which was fully discussed on our initial meeting but it took 2 more meetings to square all the details.. because the 1st couple of weeks we were not getting to care and attention Dad needed which we fully discussed and agreed to they sold us on when we signed up. truth is truth .. Overall now DaddyO is his routine with the staff.. all is going well now. We are getting the value that we expected for the investment we are making That's all. All good now

My father was in need of care. Brookdale was very accommodating and helpful. The staff were great. Although he was there a short time, he did not use the dining room or any of the activities but overall, it was a good experience.

I would make it mandatory to review these documents in person never just over email like I did, I would like to see them to allow family or have patient to take and keep prescriptions in room somehow (cost I don't need) But their policy Keeping patients or residents active Walk around a park for the ones who are mobile the others is difficult The whole system is broken Payment wise Pay the CNA higher get more working there less duties by all And will allow for days off and rest

I particularly notice the upper leadership is very kind and caring. They have an open door policy to meet with you and talk through any issues and go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. The accessibility of the on site Nurse Practitioner is a wonderful benefit. I think the activities and outings for the community are superb and they really cater to their residents.

Staff is very nice. I ate lunch there and the food was okay, but not great. My mother's bathroom could have been cleaned better. I have only been there three times, so I don't have a lot of personal reference. I live 3 1/2 hours away. My brother, Tom, lives about 20 minutes away and would have better over all insight. The building appears well maintained. A window in Mom's room wasn't closing and I mentioned it to a couple of the caregivers as well as the front desk. Security seems decent. It is very expensive, so I would hope that things are good quality. Mom is memory challenged and sometimes is okay with the place, and sometimes not as happy. Over all the place is good.

The staff are all very friendly and responsive. My father really likes it there, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise! He says he really likes the food, and has made friends.

All the staff at Brookdale have pleasant attitudes. My sis resides in the memory care & the staff in that unit are well-trained to perform their jobs efficiently & patiently.

Some of the staff is wonderful but some of the staff isn't so great. It's hit or miss. I would recommend it and the memory care building is fairly new. The assisted living part is pretty old though.

The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and easy to work with. The company is the best facility for the cost of a room. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a memory care facility.

My mom was at Brookdale in California for two months then I moved her to Brookdale here in Las Vegas. Brookdale made it very easy to transfer, both places have great people, they are clean with a lot of activities.

Brookdale PV is a smaller community that is very welcoming. Many of the apartments have a lovely view of a koi pond and tropical greenery. The receptionists, caregivers, and dining staff are kind, caring and responsive. My mom has had a good experience there and the nursing/med tech staff have been exceptional in managing her meds and communicating with family. She has been happy with the meals and dining services.

Food, staff, activities, transportation, apartments and maintenance are 4 out of 5 plus. Most seem residents very satisfied here. Very comfortable living at Brookdale in Scott's Valley, Ca. TITLE Great weather and most types of shopping close by.

The staff is great . The dining menu is repetitive and limited.

There are some issues with food service. Food quality is good, but service is lacking in organization and efficiency. Otherwise, a very nice place with lovely people.

Even though they have had several turnovers in their general caregiver staff, which happens at any assisted living facility, the more permanent staff are wonderful. They truly try to meet the need of any resident within their state limitations. I see their love and care for mom. The only residents that I have seen leave were ones that needed more care than they were allowed to give. The caregivers that they do hire and stay, try to make a connection and difference with each person, including family members.
