Brookdale

The staff were very friendly. The residents were welcoming too and seemed very happy there. We were impressed that the residents gave positive feedback about the facility. The nurses there really studied my father's care needs and worked with us about the best and affordable approaches.

Overall experience is very good. Staff all very friendly and well trained. Food mostly good. Gluten free meals necessary and sometimes it seems variety of gluten free is not great but they are trying new products all the time. Sometimes it takes too long for my aunt to be helped when she needs it. She can't walk or get around or even pull the cord for help so at the mercy of whenever they check on her.

I am glad my brother is there. I have experienced several assisted living places with my parents. I don't think I would give a 5 to any. No place has all perfect people. The residents I talk to and I think that the food is very good. There are very good activities, including a number with family involvement. The staff is very friendly, creating a home-like atmosphere. The Executive Director has always had my brother's best interest in mind, even in difficult situations. When any conflict arises, it is handled professionally. The smallness of the community is a big plus for us. If there is a cleanliness issue brought to their attention, they handle it. Any resident anywhere needs an advocate checking up on thing

Staff was caring and friendly. The food was very good. There were regular activities and new surprises each week. The facility was clean. One of the few facilities that offers plug in for EV.

My mother has been a resident of Brookdale Tallgrass for close to 3 years now. She is very content there. She has a nice, comfortable home in her rooms. She enjoys the meals very much, they make an effort to make them tasty! The staff is caring and attentive.

I love my apt. Have made many nice friends. I am kept bust with lots of activities. I don't like it when people suddenly lease and we don't even get to say good by.

At first I was annoyed by this intrusion of monitoring, because my current condition is new to me. But I now realize I need it! And appreciate it. And it's at the perfect and for me now.

It was the best choice available at the time. We would recommend Brookdale. My sister is making friends and reading almost every book in the library! This is a nice place to start living again.

You have to be independent. If you are in need of a lot of assistance, it may not be for you. My aunt pays extra for assistance and always has to ask for it. Ex. Showering assistance twice a week. Not sure it happens unless she asks.

Mom has everything she needs. Her lunch lines has subsided. She’s made some friends. Staff treats her very well. The activities are great and she gets to go a few times paces each month outside of the facility to experience e things she has never done before. No place is perfect, but Brookdale checks all of the boxes. I looked at 23 facilities in Wichita and thanks to [name removed], I found the place for my Mom!

The staff that we met with initially were very informative and friendly. They answered all of the questions we had and provided resources, if needed. The staff replied to phone calls and emails in a timely matter. Once we decided to place my Mom at Brookdale, the admission process was easy. Things were explained to us thoroughly and the staff made sure we were comfortable in our decision. Brookdale and the staff have met, and exceeded, our expectations.

The staff is very friendly and always accommodating to any problems.

I like my apartment, and it's kept very clean. The housekeeping team is fantastic. The food is above average to say the least, especially since they are cooking for so many people. The campus beautiful, and I love to sit out on the patio by the lake. I have met so many nice people. I enjoy the entertainment on Friday nights, and I really enjoy the outings to various restaurants.

My MIL moved into Brookdale about a month ago. She was only there 11 days before she needed to go to the hospital with pneumonia. The few days she was at Brookdale were good. She is very happy there. She'll be going back there in a few days. I would recommend this facility to others who are looking for a place for their loved one.

The facility was very well-maintained and the personnel were very pleasant. Unfortunately, they suffered from the same industry wide problems of adequate staffing in food, service, and housekeeping and the younger more menial task performing caregivers were not strong, English speaking and in some cases apathetic.

The food was good but a more varied menu would have been better. Great staff. I would recommend to others.

The absolute best thing about Brookdale Memorial Oaks is the manager of the memory care unit. She is caring and kind and just wonderful. I'm not overly impressed with the rest of the staff. I have to stay after them to keep my husband's room clean.

They have not been as forthcoming with some information and some maintenance as I gad hoped. Nonetheless I regard the staff as being very capable and friendly, and the facilities as very good.
