Brookdale

Everyone at Brookdale Chanate was extremely helpful, kind, and competent. The facility was clean, quiet, tidy and met all expectations. A special shout out to [name removed] and her staff in the dementia care area. She is the best of the best and led the care for our sister. She is Brookdale's most valuable asset!

She has only been there about a week so far. We chose the facility because my mom needed a ground-floor room with access to a fenced patio for her dog. So far, it has been a short amount of time, and we're still getting a feel for the place.

The leading up to and actual moving in process were made easy and less stressful by the intake coordinator who went out of the way to help.

I live out of state and the only contacts were by phone. All my current questions have been answered. All contact has been very pleasant.

There was a change in dining seating that has my father in law refusing to go.

The staff is pleasant, helpful. Facility is clean and well kept. Food is excellent. Activities are geared toward the independent living residents, so there is not much the assisted living residents can really participate in, which is sad for Mom. Nursing staff does not communicate with me about Mom's care even though I have POA and have asked repeatedly to be kept informed about her care. That's annoying, but we had the same issue at her previous place too.

The staff has been very communicative and responsive. The Executive Director is slower to respond. The room cleaning could be more comprehensive. Great list of activities, size of room is large, food seems to be good. There are no gluten free options which is limiting.

It was a pleasant senior living community. They seem to have a lot to offer with a set price. The staff and residents all seems hapyy.

Everyone in the front office is inspiring in their enthusiasm for the care of their residents. Overall it is clean though somewhat dated - they anticipate new paint in the halls and common areas and then expect the flooring in those areas to also be replaced/updated. They maintain that their focus is on making the resident feel at home and cared for. All the staff we met were friendly and seemed to genuinely care for their charges.

Brookdale suits my mom's needs and is a very nice place to live. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, her one bedroom unit is plenty for her. The cleaning service they have does a really great job. The options on the menu in the dining room appear to be nutritious and my mom says they are delicious. Her laundry gets done quickly. A few things that they do need to look into are, making sure her trash is taken out daily, they're special events need more than just food, it would be nice to have more events happening at these special events. It also takes forever for the maintenance guy to get something done. We waited about a month before a picture got hung on the wall. They have some raised flower beds that are behind the building that the residence can plant stuff in, however, they have them walk all the way around the building to get to them when there are doors that lead out the back of the building that they cannot use. Therefore, the residences don't do much with them. But overall, it is a really great place for my mom. I just wished a few of these things could change. My mom requested a female be in the bathroom when she showers, but there is a male that always comes in and she tells him I don't want you to help me with my shower. I want a female to help me. He marks down that she refuses a shower, but she's not refusing the shower. She's just refusing him to give the shower to her.

Brookdale Conway is a nice place that feels like home. You get to know the staff by name, it's small enough that it's easy enough for my Mom to get around, and nothing is too complicated to get done. The team there makes sure my Mom has everything she needs and stays in touch with me when I have questions. Also the price is reasonable for what you get.

Staff are very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They got on the right schedule for her meds immediately, which hasn't always been the case in other care facilities (asst living, rehab, or hospital). Room and bathroom are smaller than some other facilities, but fine for what she needs.

For an independent person this is great. The cottage is nice and spacious. Upon moving in in there were some issues but the staff was great, nice and communicative.

Activities coordinator for the memory care community is exceptional; staff is friendly, apartment size is adequate.

The lady that took me on the tour was wonderful and showed me around, introduced me to residents, and took time to answer my questions. My only negative of the experience was I had scheduled my appointment ahead of time and shared the urgency of my situation in finding placement and when I showed up it was like a surprise that I was there. So I think there is a break in communication somewhere. For a facility of that size it looked like a wonderful place and if your loved one is used to being social I can see this as a place where they would do well. My mom is more reserved and I knew immediately that it wasn’t for her, however it looked like the perfect place for someone more extroverted.

[name removed] has been absolute pleasure to work with. She made the experience a pleasant one. She was always willing to work with me under unusual circumstances. Went out of her way to make sure the move in experience went smoothly.

Overall they did a lot of special discount for helping us to live there. We were not able to sell our home in time to move there so we dropped out and will most likely to return to try once it sells to see if we can work out a way to go there. We liked the place enough to try a few months to get downsized and sell house. Go and take a tour.

Fairly good experience, clean, very friendly ,no care given ,willingly listen, question follow-through, food adequate, wonderful aray of activities, suggest improvements be obvious when rate increase occurs in 2027

Aid service is good they perform tasks as they are supposed to. Food is good and I like the variety of options. Kitchen service can be slow sometimes. I like that I can connect with any of the department people when I want to reach them.

I am a resident here almost 5 years. I like it. The veteran's club is wonderful and I enjoy it. Happy to be here and made friends. Food is good, I look forward to the matzo ball soup and shabbat service
