Brookdale

Brookdale Southpoint has recently undergone renovations and has a fresh look with fresh paint, new flooring and new furnishings in all the public areas. The staff is very personable and friendly. My grandfather's main two concerns were the activities and food, and he was not disappointed in either.

This as an update to my Nov 2015 review. The facility has a new administrator who is very proactive. there have been multiple changes for the better. The remodel has been completed and the facility is always clean. Staff is friendly and most seem genuinely interested in the residents. There are multiple activities available to residents throughout the day.

When my mother could no longer live in her home, we chose Brookdale at Clinton, NY for many reasons. It provided a beautiful setting outside which reminded my mother of her own home. The extremely friendly and cooperative staff made my mother feel safe in her new home and was a very important factor in our decision to choose Brookdale. The minute you walk in the front doors you are welcomed by the residents and staff on any given day. It never changes. The residents themselves welcome all new residents introducing themselves. What I specifically like is that in the dining room if a resident is sitting alone another resident will invite them to sit at their table. No one ever sits alone unless they wish to. The food is superb and the chef meets with residents weekly to listen to their suggestions. My mother is now actively engaging in all the activities and can go shopping or group outings for lunch or church with transportation provided. She can also attend weekly mass at Brookdale if she chooses rather than go out. Transportation to doctor appointments is also provided. We highly recommend Brookdale at Clinton, NY. It is a beautiful assisted living residence for seniors giving my mother a wonderful new place to resettle at a time in her life when she needed to be in a safe, secure and peaceful residence affording her a chance to keep her independence and be around other seniors she could share similar experiences with. That daily interchange with other residents, either in activities or outings or in the dining room, has given my mother a new lease on life. At 98 years young we are very grateful to have chosen Brookdale at Clinton, NY for the next chapter in her life. I originally contacted A Place For Mom and a wonderful representative, Michelle, returned my call and worked with me for over two years checking with me regularly to see if Mom was ready and offering me many suggestions for Mom to come and visit Brookdale at Clinton. Michelle was there for us and made the final decision so much easier as she never lost contact with us and was immediately there to help us make the move. Thank you for being a wonderful representative for A Place For Mom. She is a superb representative for your group.

Though my uncle passed away before he could move in, the staff worked with me over a period of 4 months planning the transition. The facility was top-notch and the staff were friendly and very respectful. I am sure that my uncle would have been very happy there.

The decision to finally move my mother from a home to an assisted living facility was a huge stress. After only three months, I realize what a great decision it has been, and the weight of the world has been lifted off me. Her quality of life has improved immensely. She is more social and involved with other people than she has been in the last 20 years. We don't have to worry about her being alone at her home for many of the obvious reasons. I know she is getting her medication and is cared for by the great staff at Brookdale. They have all been great, from the top management down. Responsive, friendly and "on the ball." I am very glad we chose this location, and I would recommend it to others without hesitation.

My mother-in-law and her dog are doing quite well at Brookdale Peoria Union Hills. Rooms are on the small side, but sufficient for her and pup. She participates in some activities, but mainly enjoys reading in her room. The building and grounds are really nice, open, and large yards and hallways. Thank you!

The people who work here are wonderful. Maintenance is fairly quick as they have a whole building to deal with. Maid service is once a week, very much appreciated. There is a kitchen in every apartment, but you wouldn't need it as there are 3 meals a day, with Brunch on Sunday. Valet parking is a plus. It's close to everything in the Galleria area, very nice and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm only here temporarily as I just moved to Houston and am looking for a home to rent.

Mother is still adjusting with everything and the move into the community. I feel that she being taken care of well and is safe, I feel she is better off than me right now. I do not have any regrets moving my mother into the community, they have been wonderful in helping her settle in. I just wish there was more of an introduction to the community for my mother, like how they run things around there. She is taking some time to adjust to the schedule they have their residents on. It is a very good community and we are pleased so far. I have recommended it to one of my neighbors whose father is getting to the point where he would be needing care. I told her to go check out Brookdale Brea.

Our experience with this community has been a good one , but I do have some concerns. The community itself looks great and is well kept. They are understaffed here, but the staff they do have are very nice and very helpful to us. They are accommodating to my mother. When she was sick they brought her food up to her room for her. The do have a lot of activities for the residents to do, and my mother participates in the activities offered. My only issue with this community is that we were quoted one price and were billed another one and we are having some insurance problems with them. Other then that the medical people have been great with her medicine and the head nurse is wonderful as well. I would say to anyone thinking about moving here just go through everything with a fine tooth comb.

Beings my husband is there for a 2 week respite care for me to recover from surgery. They were very supportive to both him and myself in getting things all set up. They made him feel at home in his room and every thing.

Things are going good since moving my father to Brookdale New Port Richey. He has dimensia so it is a daily thing for him to adjust to being there. All in all he is treated well and cared for. The staff is excellent, they keep an eye out for him. The kitchen staff checks on him and makes sure he eats. The director checks on him and asks if he wants to participate in activities. The staff actually cares about the residents and exceeds requirements. The nurse is excellent. He definitely receives the care he needs. I have not met anyone with any illmanneredness. No facility is perfect but this place comes close. The accommodations are great. Very clean. My father likes the food, it is quite good. Not the least expensive but moderately priced. I am completely satisfied with this community.

I and my Father moved my mother to Brookdale in Danville Va. and she seems to be happy there , the staff are very friendly The meals are great and a very good selection . I am very pleased with all I see and mostly that she is happy there , I do intend to bring her home soon once I get there house in order . she has however improved in her mobility and her Emotional happiness . It is very clean and they even have activities for the whole family to attend as well. Much like having her own apartment with people to help if needed .

On January 3rd we contacted A Place For Mom in search of an assisted living facility for our mother. Brookdale Lake Highlands was on the list they sent us, We moved our mother in on January 18, 2016. We are very pleased with level care she is receiving and the friendly, helpful staff. The food is great and the facility is always clean and neat. A few times we have had to ask more than once to get an issue resolved. The staff always responded in a friendly ,caring way and we have had every issue resolved. Jackie, Caria, Melody and Carol in the front office have made the move a very positive experience for our mother and the family. I would highly recommend Brookdale Lake Highlands,.

Overall our experience with Brookdale has been a very positive one! It's a nice looking, clean, well kept community, and the staff seems friendly and professional. We're very satisfied with the service, I'd give them high marks across the board.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. It was a nice looking, smaller community. The facility was clean and well decorated, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. The community seemed very friendly and close-knit! We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

Welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff. Always helpful and attentive. I was comfortable the first time I came to tour and see the community. Just moved my Mom in three days ago and while she is adjusting, she has been engaging with staff and has been very complimentary of her care.

I like it, but I think my loved one is a little more high functioning than the other residents, which has made socializing a bit difficult. The staff is friendly, and interact as much as they can. They are very attentive, and accommodating. The food is phenomenal!

Things are going pretty well. There are still adjustments, but it is a very nice facility. So far, we are having a good experience with Brookdale Littleton and we do not have any complaints. We are happy with them.

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at Brookdale Oakwell! The people here are very friendly, and they've been great to my Dad! It's a nice looking facility, and they do an excellent job with the food. He's settled in well, and really seems to be enjoying himself here!
