Met w/Shartel on 12/3, really nice facility, looks tidy, smells good, staff friendly & residents seemed calm but not drugged, spoke with a few residents and they were in good spirits, I missed seeing a meal or activity but saw the locations for each are well thought out, currently have no openings but only 1 on the waiting list so a possibility for us

As far as I know, they are great. After the incident that my mother caused, I am praying that they don't kick her out! My family just loves it there.

After looking at several fine area memory care facilities, I selected Emeritus at Peoria that was on the list of "A Place for Mom" provided by Senior Living Advisor, Debbie Miller, for my mother who is 89 years young yet suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. I am extremely grateful to Debbie for setting up these tours. Emeritus at Peoria is first staffed with a wonderful, caring group of skilled professionals that provide for her. Second, this facility has an open, yet "homey" feel to it. There are lots of activities for the residents (including a fantastic hair salon) and excellent food. The apartment that was available for my mom looks out into a beautiful, well manicured courtyard complete with walking paths and pine trees. I highly recommend this facility and caring staff to others. Thank you especially to Emeritus at Peoria's Executive Director, Kimberly McCurdy who went out of her way to make the transition for my family and my mother so easy.

It was phenomenal, staff was great, they were very helpful throughout the whole process. Unfortunately, it didn't suit my mother, but I don't know if any place would be perfect for her. Overall, I don't have anything bad to say about Emeritus.

My dad has advanced stage Alzhiemer's and he was in another memory care facility in the Jupiter, FL area that was far from meeting his needs. We researched several memory care facilities in the area and decided that Clare Bridge of Tequesta was the best fit. I have not been disappointed. First and foremost that staff is exceptional. They treat my dad with respect and kindness, engage him daily with activities that are appropriate for his level of dementia, and are very responsive to any requests that his family may have. In addition, the facility itself is clean, efficient and provides lots of room for the residents to wander without feeling like they're locked in. The chef is accommodating and the food is well prepared. The transition to the new facility was a smooth one for my dad thanks to the staff. We are extremely satisfied with Clare Bridge of Tequesta and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a facility for their loved one who has dementia.

The time I spent with Sheri was talking about my mom and what her needs were as opposed to all the bells and whistles of the facilities. I met lots of people on my tour and just had a great overall good feeling about the place. I absolutely love the location on the North End too.

We recently moved our mother from Montana to Clare Bridge of Spokane. Every one of the staff members has gone out of their way to make mom feel that this is her "home". The kind and compassionate way they deal with the difficult issues of dementia are beyond compare and we have actually seen a few smiles from mom -- the first in many months. We are extremely grateful for the care mom is receiving, the dignified way in which that care is delivered and the individual attention she is receiving.

It is not easy when one has to decide to place their parent with people you don't know. Luckily I did not have to do a massive and exhaustive research on where to place my Mom. They had been suggested by several people. The physical therapist that were coming to the house to take care of Mom, a site called for Moms, Council on Aging, and an in home nursing business. I went over there and met with Julie the director, and had an extensive tour of the place, went over what was offered to the senior citizen, such as exercise, games, social hours, what the nursing staff offered and the different levels that are offered depending on the care the senior made need. I have eaten in the dining room with Mom at different times and every meal was enjoyable. All the staff is very friendly and cares about the seniors who are staying there. Since Mom has been there they have had one party with family invited which was quite nice, and had very good food. If there is a problem they address it right away when you bring it up to them. There have been no problems as far as getting my Mom to her Dr's appointments at all. I would highly recommend Emeritus to anyone who is looking for an assisted living place. You bring what furniture you want to make your room your own. They have different sizes and all of them are quite nice.

Moved Mom in last weekend. They were very flexible in working with our needs for making the move happen. Everyone has gone above and beyond and I feel like we made the right choice for mom. The apartment was spotless and ready for us to move in. They checked on her with more frequency the first three days just to make sure she was doing okay. That was reassuring for us since Moms mind isn't what it used to be. We have yet to meet any staff member that doesn't seem to care. Everyone including the other residents have really made her feel welcomed.

I've found Vista Oaks to be supreme. Whoever did the hiring did an excellent job. Professional, caring and with good follow through describes the personnel. And the building is homey and clean. Overall, I'm thrilled we found them.

These guys really went out of their way to help my dad and I! Icannot say enough about them.

Very friendly!! Really like the size. When I go to visit my mom I know everyone there. It is a very comforting place to go into. It is all on one floor. I feel very comfortable. I can ask questions and I don't feel like I'm bothering anyone. Very wonderful Staff. Everyone from the housekeepers to the nurses to the kitchen people are very nice and accommodating. She is in assisted living. She has her own apartment a with microwave and refrigerator, but the cooking is done in the main kitchen.

It's a wonderful wonderful place. The staff is very friendly and very helpful - very very helpful I would say and very accommodating to whatever I need for my mother. They have a good dining area with good food. The facilities could use a little updating. It's a little nursing home-ish, like the hallways and stuff but the rooms/apartments themselves are great. I think it's a good value. Obviously you'd always like to be less but for what they offer it's a good price.

This facility appears to offer all the requirements my dad needs. They are sending a nurse to evaluate him tomorrow. I could see my dad living there.

Have previously toured. Excellent place. Larger than the rest. Concidering highly. Will not get the same personal / home like treatment as the smaller AFC's. But is VERY high on the list. Location is a issue for my brother. If the price is good, they may still be the best solution. They have more activities and social interaction than the others.

My sister and I were unsure that our 94 year old mother would so well in an assisted living situation after being in a nursing home for almost 3 years. Her move was rather sudden when the nursing home closed with very little notice, making the transition even more difficult.. With the help of the staff and residents at Sterling House, my mother seems to be doing just fine. I think she will continue to do well and even improve as she is now with people more on her level mentally and physically, even though many are younger.

The staff is phenomenal. I'm extremely happy with them. For me, the best part it the peace of mind - knowing that my father is getting the proper care when I'm not there. They call me if anything happens. He's in poor health and they've already taken him to the hospital twice. I was extremely impressed when I started looking because Emeritus at Bellevue called me within 20 minutes after talking to A Place for Mom. I wish they would lower their price but that's the only thing. There is a set fee and then they go by the level of care too.

It's going fine. It's very cleanly and I think the cost is pretty reasonable. As far as I know the care is fine. The first thing we liked about Weddington Park is that it didn't smell like a nursing home and the staff that we met all seemed very professional and helpful.

I find the staff to be friendly and caring. I don't know how Emeritus takeover will affect the property, but so far, so good.
