Everything seems to be going quite good. I am not overly pleased that they have announced a rate increase after two months. My parents seem to be very happy there. Mom said the food is excellent, dad says it's terrible he can't chew it. They seem to go to excercise every day, and dad goes to play penny poker. There should be something in the contract that says they will honor the rate for six months or a year or something. The movers they recommended were quite good. When we were setting up we accidentally pushed the button for emergencies and they were there in like two seconds, before we even knew we pushed it, so they have a good response time to an emergency alarm.

We've been very happy with them, it's been going really well. I don't know that it could have gone any better. They are paying attention to the residents. When we walked in I knew this is it and I felt secure leaving her there. When we walked in to visit (the woman in the kitchen, which is very open, nice, and clean, with a lovely dining room) the lady was very friendly. There was a mix up with who was supposed to show us around but they handled it great. From the head of maintenance to the kitchen person, they all made sure we were taken care of, and the kitchen woman was phenomenal. They offered more assistance than others did. I had a really positive experience with them.

They try and get family involved as much as possible. It's very important so that the residents doesn't feel left out or like they've just been "dropped off." They have invited us for lunch several times, and it's very inexpensive to eat there. They have a regular newsletter for the families to keep everyone up to date, and there's a calendar of events posted so that all of the residents know what is going on. Sterling house invited me back for a couple of other seminars that they were having before my mom moved in. They didn't have to do that, and I thought that it was very nice. One was about talking to loved ones when it comes time to move them into assisted living, and that was a big help to me. They also invited me back with my mother and a friend to come take a tour and stay and have lunch. They really bent over backwards to help. It was very, very good. My mother loves it there.

This place really was the best, Dad was very happy during his time here. The staff was great, very friendly and they had a lot of personal care and attention for every resident. We also liked that it was a nice small community, really personal feeling. They had a family event every month that we enjoyed, and the residents were always excited about it. Everything about this place was great, and we were glad it was recommended to us.

I have a family memeber who lives at this facilty and she loves it there. She always brags on the staff and how they spoil her. She is also alwasy talking about the activites and how much there is do and not enough time for Jan to do all she wants to do. I am always welcomed to the community and even the activities when im there visiting. The only thing i would say that needs some attention is the carpet it is stained something awful. You go one day it looks great and then a week later all the stains are back.

It's the best value around. My mother-in-law is 103. She is doing very well, she likes it! I think that the care that she is getting is just excellent. She seems to like the food, too.

It's beautiful. It's the Rolls Royce of assisted living facilities. It was a little more expensive but boy it was beautiful and the menu was to die for.

The experience of putting my mom in a home was very emotional and the people at Emeritus East Mesa were all very kind and supportive. While it is difficult in wanting to be the one to take care of her, in reality they are doing a wonderful job that I just am not capable of doing right now.

Mom was only in Clare Bridge for three weeks, and one of those was spent in a hospital, because she had fallen. She returned to Clare Bridge to a hospice program run by Wheaton Fransiscan. The hospice workers said that the Clare Bridge people were extremely helpful. Our family was pleased with all the attention Mom got and with all the daily and more contacts with me to let me know what was happening, even though I visited each day.

Dad is really enjoying this community. There are a lot of activities and events to keep him busy. He loves the layout, Dad wanted a large community so that there would be plenty of people to interact with, and this certainly fits the bill. The staff are friendly, and the facility itself is well kept. We toured a few, and this was our favorite!

Very similar to other Clare Bridge communities and they couldn't lock in a price until My parents were there. They have a pay per service policy and they seemed to want to leave it open to more charges.

I had a great experience with the community from the moment I walked in the door. The facility itself was very nice, and the staff was very professional set my mind at ease. They appeared familiar with the sorts of issues my Mom was dealing with, and knew all the right questions to ask. Mom was only there for a short respite care stay, but they certainly made a good first impression! It was very expensive, as this sort of care is, but it was definitely good care for the price.

It's working out great! We chose this because it had a design for people with dementia, the layout was specifically built for people with memory loss. They have two, twenty-six room pods with a square courtyard in the center. Each side is separate so they are a little more hands on than most I've seen. They seem to have a schedule for upkeep, since she's been there, they put in all new carpet and furniture, just to keep the place looking fresh. It didn't even seem to need it, nothing was really dirty or worn, so they have very nice maintenance, they keep it looking fresh. Whoever decorates does it with the patients needs for color and design. They did not have any financial help available.

The atmosphere of this community is really homey - does not seem like an institution. The employees and very friendly and helpful. The director is very involved in the community and really cares about both the employees and the residents- seems to know everyone's names and acts on any issues promptly. Overall I am happy with our decision to choose Emeritus at La Casa Grande. I looked at quite a few places before making the decision.

They do offer some really nice things for the residents to do and there is only like forty-five residents so they can really concentrate on the residents. That was a determining factor for us. The food seems to be pretty ok.

It was the most wonderful place that we could have found for her. She was making new friends, going to church every Sunday, it was just a fantastic place. The staff was helpful and caring. They would take them on field trips, play Bingo and other games. They had another craft room but I never got to experience it. It's not real big, and that is what she liked. She had a roommate in a two bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen, and this was EXACTLY what she wanted. They had three or four different layouts to choose from. She and her roommate could take walks in the courtyard. It was so small that they could walk down the hallways to the courtyard by themselves. They don't have an Alzheimer's unit, which was nice for my mom. We fell in love right away. They show affection to the residents and it was a lovely environment.

Very nice, philosophy join the journey, large great room full activities with bedrooms on either side, eating on outside patio, garden and outside walking are.

I think my mom just has some depression. I don't think it has anything to do with the community I would give them a five star rating. They have bingo and crafts and the usual activities. I think the communication between the nurse staffing on nights and weekend with the day staff could be better. You have to pay separate for the nursing facility.

They were excellent! It seemed more like a hotel, not as small as Emeritus that's right down the street. I actually liked the food better, They had hot cookies that you could eat all day. You could have your meals any time that you wanted to, and they also had kitchenettes in the rooms. Unfortunately, they weren't as affordable, so we chose Emeritus, which is working out well.

I like the safety, the cleanliness, the smell and all of that. I like the nursing staff, the ones who give them meds. I like the attentiveness to detail with the medicine. I really like the friendliness of the staff and the responsiveness. They know who I am! When I call they recognize my voice, and I really appreciate that. They are a little smaller community, and it is working out well.
