I love living here. I feel safe and protected. There are many activities that I participate in. The food is very good and plenty of it. I love that my apartment is cleaned for me. What more could anyone want!

The staff are always friendly, pleasant and accommodating. My meals and concerns are met in a timely manner. A good choice facilities for those able to attend.

After looking at several facilities we felt this was the right fit for my mother. Brookdale has gone out of their way to ensure the move and acclimation to the new environment has gone smoothly. I honestly can't think of anything that could have made it easier for us. The staff has been informative and helpful in every aspect. Such a relief to have mom situation in a safe environment!

Their chef is fabulous, their kitchen and food is the most outstanding feature of the entire facility. My daughter came to visit and wanted to see where we eat so they invited us for lunch. The atmosphere of the dining area is very homey with a beautiful view of the mountains. The walls are all glass and you can look out and enjoy the amazing view while you are dining. The waitresses are wonderful. I have low vision so she assisted me with ordering, making sure that I didn’t miss anything. They are very professional. The menu options are six different entrees every day for lunch and dinner. If you are not hungry you can just order a soup or salad. They also have continental breakfast in the mornings and all the food served has the most adequate portioned size. They have many activities too, but I’m not sure how many. I am not active as I use to be however the staff encourages you to be up and about. They have a swimming pool onsite that I would like to try. The area is wonderful, the layout is great, and it’s a gated community from outside traffic. You would need to know someone to get in. There is someone manning the gate all the time which is a great safety feature than adds to the security. I love this place that I already started recommending it to others.

I toured this community when I was looking for a place for my in-laws to go and it’s mainly an assisted living and memory care community. Just from what I was able to see, they’re very good. The facility is clean and the staff seems to be very good. One thing that I would say is it’s pretty expensive.

My parents are here currently and everything is going real well. They’ve adapted well and the people are very nice and attentive. We’re very happy with it. They’ve been very helpful and knowledgeable and taking really good care of them. The facility is very nice cleanliness wise; they do a very good job. Everything about it so far has been better than I expected. My sister has eaten there and my parents are very pleased with it. Each meal they have a set menu but if you want something else, there’s a separate menu that you can order from for any meal. There’s a pretty good variety of stuff. They print out a sheet with 5 or 6 activities every day, like religious services, music twice a week, bingo, word and mind games, and there’s quite a few things to participate in. I would recommend them. When I went on the original tour, the lady that took me around took me to visit with the people that work there and introduced me to them individually. They really made an effort to get you to meet everyone.

If I were choosing an assisted living community to move into this would be it. As a realtor once told me the three most important points regarding a property are location, location and location.

Everyone is very nice here. The staff members are knowledgeable and friendly. After our tour, they followed up with us which was very nice. Some other places didn’t do that. They took the extra step. If it wasn’t for the distance between my mom and I, she would have gone here. It’s really clean and the facility looks good. All of the residents that we came in contact with seemed really happy and welcoming. I would recommend this facility.

Gaines Ranch is a beautiful community. They took ample time to get to know what my mom's needs are and provided me with options best suited to help her adjust to life in an independent living community.

I really loved this facility. It's a single story so it's easier to get around. The staff is great and the residents are vibrant and active. I really like how the staff seemed to be engaged with the residents as well. It's a very nice place. The apartments were all neat and tidy. This community felt more like home than the other places I toured. It just seemed so welcoming and warm. The only reason why I didn't pick this facility is because the distance from my home. I would recommend this community.

My husband is here and only has been for about a month and they have been wonderful. The staff is just absolutely understanding of the residents that are there. I’ve watched them interact with other patients, not just my husband, and they put their heart and soul into everything they do. The facility is beautiful, too. The great part for me is that it’s only 5 minutes from my house so I can visit my husband whenever I want to or however often I want to and they’ve always been very professional and wonderful. [Removed], the executive director, and [Removed], the business manager, have always had me amazed. There’s never been a time that they haven’t had a smile on their face and seeing them work with the patients that get upset about being there is really great. The food is always good and my husband will say he’s not hungry but by the time he goes, he eats everything. The only thing I’ve noticed is there are a lot of starchy foods, but there are always vegetables to go with it. The residents get 3 meals a day and they’re all pretty balanced. They also have cookies, an ice cream bar, crackers, and things like that between meals. The activities are great and they’re always doing something with the residents every hour. They have trivia and I’ve had the chance to do that, bingo, arts and crafts, there’s just always something to do to keep everyone busy. What amazes me the most is the cleanliness of the facility. When I was first trying to decide, I took a tour and the second I walked in, there were no weird smells, no dirt, and I noticed that they just do a great job of keeping everything clean. They’re constantly checking the patients that are wheelchair bound to make sure they don’t need a change or anything and then they’ll happily bring them back out to continue on their day. There’s a daycare center right across the street, too, and during Halloween all of the little kids got dressed up and came over to do some trick or treating and it was so much fun. It’s a nice facility and it’s a place that I would highly recommend if you have a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s.

My mother was a resident at the assisted living facility in Hixson, TN for 2 1/2 years. The facility is very clean, quiet with two beautiful courtyards. Every staff member from nurse to cook were very attentive and sought to meet the individual needs of each resident. It it a delightful community and was such a pleasant experience for us as well as for her. Thank you so much for making her time there a good experience. she loved all the staff!

I enjoyed my tour and the information and honesty that [Removed] provided. I am more knowledgeable about my father's diagnosis as well as the residential and care options for him going forward. I could see my father living here.

We like living here very much. We enjoy everyone who works and lives here.

Costs: Seems competitive with extras involved (Bus) Facilities: Well designed, constant improvements all upgrades, apartments and general areas maintained daily. Staff all functions and services fully staffed with skilled and knowledgeable and helpful staff. Food services: Meals are well planned and prepared. Good variety and choices, waiters and managers always pleasant! Activities: The manager is very creative and committed to providing full range for all interests. Management and Policies: Senior Manager is very capable and sensitive to group needs and comfort and safety.

After my dad died in June 2016 I has been a struggle for me with selling of the house. Everyone at the Hearth the staff has been wonderful to me as the employees and residents are like family to me. I am very happy here. So don’t let me down haha!

Everybody is nice and easy to get along with. The employees all do a great job!!!

Mom loves it here! Lots of things to do, outdoor garden to walk in with benches and treasures to find, singing and old movies. Always working to keep them sharp! Nurses always there and available, friendly staff and the best food! Even supportive facilities! Couldn’t be better!
