I really like this place because it’s close to me so I can visit my Mother easily. I really liked the vibe I got when I first walked in. Everyone seems really happy here and the staff has been incredible and responsive to our needs. All of the staff members including management have been extremely helpful. My mother hasn’t moved in yet and hasn’t been able to try the food but they do serve 3 meals and have snacks in-between. The facility itself is nice and clean. It looks lovely, nice, and vibrant. The rooms are great with a full size kitchen. They do offer cleaning and laundry service that’s 1 time a week. The facility also has a lot of activities to keep my mom busy like going to concerts, going to casinos, exercise classes, card games, and movies. Even though my mother hasn’t moved in yet, I would recommend this community.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for this facility. The staff has been amazing from day one - very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. This is the 3rd Home my Father has been in and is by far the best! Dementia is a horrible disease, but the staff are well trained and know how to manage the disease with care, compassion and relate to each and every resident in a loving way. It is not easy watching my fathers disease progress, but thanks to the staff at Brookdale, I know he is safe, well taken care of, and loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ??

My parents, from Memphis, TN, had lived in their home since 1970. I have lived in Denver where my husband and I raised our family since 1984. After my dad passed in January, 2017, my Mom announced that she would like to live here in Denver--soon! Parkplace was familiar to me--in my own neighborhood and well known to many friends. I began visiting, working with staff and preparing for her arrival. She is a VERY YOUNG, ACTIVE 87! I was worried that she wasn't ready for this community yet. SHE LOVES IT! Fantastic, patient staff, lovely facility, wonderful activities, great new friends. This is perfect and we are so pleased--still thrilled after the first 4 months.

[removed names], and staff are great! They knock themselves out trying to provide residents with excellent care. I know that working at an assisted living facility isn't easy. This is a very demanding population with many physical and mental issues. I am grateful for the care that my mom receives and she and I feel like these people are our friends.

I found this assisted living facility to be an excellent community of living for several reasons. Residents are very active and treated with compassion and respectful staff. The food is delicious with a variety of choices for the residents. The activities director is very involved with activities that are quite creative and which the residents look forward to. The atmosphere is friendly, the rooms are clean and overall, a very nice facility!

I call all at Eastside my angels, for the care, concerns, and kindness they show my mom, is truly heaven sent. It is beyond a community, it is a family. There are many that have worked with my mom for a number of years that know the ins and outs of dementia and treat her with dignity and grace no matter how difficult things can be. I definitely give Brookdale Eastside a five star rating!

This community was nice and clean. The staff answered my questions and I was told I could come eat with my mom and then LEAVE..... That made my decision right there I didn't feel safe with that being said so we chose a better community.

I chose this community because it’s small and it’s close to everything that I know and have lived around my whole life. Compared to a lot of other communities, the cost here is pretty good but still expensive and can get pretty costly when you live on a fixed income (a studio starts at $2,200), but with that being said you do get a lot of good things. Everyone here is nice and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. I like that the place is not too big and I like the atmosphere. We have a big home, not a big building like a hotel, and it is small enough where people can mingle and get to know each other. It’s like a big family. The food is not the best, it’s hard to get a good home cooked meal when you’re not at home, and the portions are small but you can always ask for more if you’re still hungry. The place is clean, they do our linens and towels and we do our own personal laundry. There are laundry rooms that we use that have irons and ironing boards. They don’t provide laundry soap, but everything else is there for us to use. There are a lot of activities available as well and it’s up to the people living here to decide what they want to do and how active they want to be. There are activities like baseball, bean bags, hand and foot, and rummy cube. We play trivia games too like Flex Your Mind. There’s a lady that comes in regularly to lead yoga and every week on Thursday and Friday you can learn to play Texas Hold ‘Em. You don’t pay for anything other than the one flat price here unless you want extra things like cable with DVR, though there is basic cable. We have a TV room upstairs with a library and on Sundays, they bring out the Wii and we can play games on that like bowling. If I ever wind up having to leave here for some reason, I’ll come back when I can. I definitely recommend it here.

Everyone was very nice here. The grounds were kept clean and so was the facility. The building is one of the older ones that I looked at. One thing that was nice is that they had regular senior living on one side and the other side was locked down for patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia. It was a very brief tour but the staff was very nice. The rooms here were larger than the other communities I had looked at. They are unfurnished and you have to provide everything but it does have a room for a refrigerator. One thing I liked is that they do laundry for the residents and they do separate loads for all the residents.

Great health care provided. Maintenance is prompt @ fixing things. Warmed plates @ mealtime.

My grandfather was there for care in the last year of his life. I cannot say enough about this facility. Clean, beautifully managed, and a staff of exceptionally professional and caring individuals. I recommend it without reservation. If you want your loved one to be superbly cared for, this is the right place.

My aunt was a resident at the facility from 9/13 until 6/17. I can't say enough about the support she received due to some personal issues and, as her health deteriorated, Personalized Living assisted with her shopping and health needs, ran errands, etc. They assisted in the purchase of a lift chair by doing the shopping and having it delivered for her. As her POA and living out of town, I could not have seen to her care without their efforts. I would recommend Brookdale Place Overland Park without hesitation. [removed] and her staff in Personalized Living were my rock.

I was impressed with the quite comfort of the location and the spacious 2 bedroom units.

Our loved one lives in the memory care and we are so happy with the care, associates, food, activities and management. Our loved one enjoys many wonderful activities as well as care and as normal a life as possible considering all that the dementia has taken away.

My mom was so used to living on her own in a big house with a lot of land and this transition wasn’t easy but she felt right at home the minute she got there. I really like that there is a hospital right across the street. When my Mother fell, the community was wonderful. They called the ambulance right away and they were there within minutes. If this fall would have happened at home, it would have been a lot worse. The staff is fabulous and they communicate very well with me. She loves the food and the activities like crafts and games. She loves that she has the ability to go outside and get fresh air. They leave the doors open for the sun to come through and get fresh air. The last time my mom was there they had construction going on to update the building. But they did do a good job in cornering it off and keeping it clean. My mom looked great when she was there and you could tell it made a difference for her to feel like she was at home. I really recommend them.
