Brookdale

While looking into various options, I decided to move forward with this community. Everything seems to be going well, no complaints so far. Their staff is really available, whether it is the caregivers or the regular staff, everyone is willing to jump right in to assist with any issues. When I first toured the community I noticed that they had a little welcome sign and their team just seemed to go the extra mile. [Removed]showed me the facility and had answers to any questions that I had, the nurse ([Removed]), and the activities directors have just been really good. My only feedback, if any, would be this: They were not flexible with the signup fee. Most places that you visit for the first time typically have a willingness to bring it down. Here there was no negotiating however they did say if you went to another Brookdale that fee would transfer over. Overall, this is still a great community for my loved one.

While looking at various options for my loved one I enjoyed touring this location. However, my loved one did not care for it. Reason being is she prefers a smaller community. The tall buildings were a bit overwhelming and intimidating to her. The apartments weren’t as sunny as she would like either. However, they have mountain views that people would kill for. The food as well was fabulous; it definitely adds longevity to the residents there.

We were in a really tight spot trying to find a place for my parent. Brookdale really worked with us to make it a smooth transition and on short notice. We are very pleased with the level of care here.

This facility is very nice and I like it. Everyone here has been so kind to me. The staff members treat me well and they take care of all my medical needs. It’s a very clean facility and it’s kept up with nicely. Recently they put up all of the Christmas decorations and they have trees throughout the community with ornaments on them. It’s very comfortable here and I would recommend them to other families.

I highly recommend this facility. My grandmother has lived there for over 4 years. The staff is very friendly and got her involved in painting and the chorus. She loves it, and they even went to sing at a local nursing home, she can't stop talking about how good she felt giving back to the less fortunate. We have lunch with her from time to time and the food is really good!! I would give this community 10 stars if I could.

Brookdale North Tucson on Ina may be a smaller community, but that does not stop them from having what I consider the most care and love for their residents. We placed our loved one there over two years ago and while it has had some changes the one thing that has not change is the care and love that these individual give to each one of their residents. Every interaction that I have had with the people that work there have been nothing but a positive experience. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to make sure their loved one gets the care and love that need and deserve.

While my loved one was here everything was great. The staff is incredibly kind, they are very attentive, and there was not one moment where there was something that needed to be done and it wasn’t done. My loved one would tell me that she loves them as well. After some time my loved one was moved into hospice care and had to relocate. Unfortunately she had passed away now. When I called and spoke to the director here and told them about that they were telling me how much they loved her and everything. I believe that was a great experience and it shows me how much they paid attention to her. The facility itself was very clean. It was so clean yet it didn’t have that “institutional clean” smell. There are no complaints there with their cleanliness. All in all I would recommend this location to other families as well.

My wife and I toured here when we were originally looking for a new place to live. They were very nice and at one point we were even thinking of moving in to one of their one bedroom apartments. However, they didn’t offer memory care which is something that my wife would eventually need. Just from what I remember seeing, it looked like they were keeping up with everything. We were able to try a meal there and the food was good. Overall, it wasn’t a bad place. We just didn’t choose them because of their lack of memory care available.

Ever since my mother moved here, everything has been going well. There reason why we chose this location from the other places that we have seen is that their facility has independent living and assisted living in the same area. It looked more like an apartment type set up, the location was good, and the service provided was a better fit for my mother. The staff here is pretty friendly and also flexible. One of the things that they were worked on giving us is that they set it up for my mother to try out their facility without having any type of long term obligation. Typically you would need a 60 day notice if you wanted to leave. They said to us to try it out for 2 months and sign the 60 day notice now; if we don’t decide to leave we can just rip that up. This was definitely different from the other places that I have seen. Usually it’s just Column A or Column B, now chose. Change is tough for someone 80+ years old, so here at Brookdale they gave my mother a chance to try to adjust without any long term obligation.

He is doing well and is comfortable at this community. It is nice and clean. It is a locked facility so that is good for him. The staff is friendly. He gets good food 3x a day. The staff tries to engage him to come and join the daily activities. It is a very very nice place. I would recommend them.

They have done a great job of taking care of my father and accommodating his special needs. He feels safe at Lanier Place.

This was the first place I toured and It was excellent. It was nice and clean. They answered all of my questions. My sister was in town and wanted to check it out so we just popped in and they were accommodating to us by showing her the rooms. They had a higher level of care I thought. Then they had the assessment and then that's when we were told that my mom would require to much care and they couldn't do it. So we were a little disappointed.

They were very nice. Answered all of our questions. Other residence's seemed happy. Very clean lot's of activities for seniors. [Removed] was great.

I went on a tour of this beautiful community. It was well decorated with chandeliers everywhere. But this isn't for my mom. I really liked it and [Removed] was very good at explaining things. It was also to far for me. They had a nice swimming pool there and it was really hard to navigate the place and mom would've gotten lost.

We went on a tour here and it was nice. It was more geared towards before memory care. I don't think they had what we needed here. The staff was considerate, warm and inviting. We had to chose elsewhere.

We liked this community because it was in our price range. It is nice and clean I was impressed. Her meals are nice and have lots of choices. She has people to talk with and eat with. If she has any issues they take care of it right away. She will participate in the daily activities but she has dialysis 3 time a week so takes her energy but she is interested. The staff is nice and helpful. I would recommend this community.

We chose Brookdale In Port Charolette Florida because of its comfortable feel and friendly staff. When my mother did her tour she was really impressed with the level of care and consideration that was given to the residents and the delicious meals provided. We got way more than we expected ?? My Aunt who is a resident is always raving about the food, she says the staff are incredibly gentle and offer her the support that she needs. Her needs are anticipated and met before she can even voice them and she is integrating and making friends. This has been the most remarkable gift for our family, my Aunt is happier than I have seen her in many years and is not suffering from the isolation that she had been experiencing when she was at home receiving twenty four hour care from caregivers. The transformation that is underway has been so powerful that it brings tears to my eyes when I think of the quality of life that has been restored to my Aunt. The residents have been inclusive and the staff go above and beyond every single day. We are kept in the loop with everything and [Removed] has been most gracious answering every single request and question with proficiency and professionalism. The whole family has been included and we are grateful beyond measure for the excellent care from Brookdale Port Charolette. [Removed]

This community is pretty exceptional to me and my mother. While looking for a place for my mother one of the main things that we look for are the socialization and the activeness of the people living there. Every time you go there you see someone doing something. There are people that are always motoring around. They have a lot of activities going on which is great. One thing that I do love is I always see people out of their apartments in the community doing things. You see residents in the lobby area which is rather big, there’s a sitting area that people are in, in the craft area, and even during the ‘Mix and Mingle’ in the pub. I would walk by the exercise room and I see people participate in that. This location is really a great active community. They also offer spiritual services; this area is a big catholic community. They have an actual priest come on site and they have catholic services every Saturday and my mother really liked that. Also, a couple times a week they offer a Rosary devotion type thing. The staff team is very on the mark providing those home care services as well. Overall, the service they offer is wonderful, they are very welcoming, and the people that live here are so up and about. It was a hard adjustment for my mother as she first moved in, but with the active and friendly environment she is in it has been a smoother transition for her.
