Brookdale

When my sister and I moved our mother to Brookdale's Memory Care we were worried as to the quality of care she would receive. We have found the staff to be wonderfully loving and caring. [Name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and the rest of the staff have been very pro-active with her daily care and needs. While our mother can not participate in many of the activities, the staff always includes her in what ever the activity is. [Name removed] has been very helpful with any question or concern we might have. My sister and I made the right choice in choosing Brookdale Sleepy Hollow.

[Name removed] provided a tour for us. She was very helpful and patient in providing the tour of their facilities. Everyone we passed stopped to tell us how special [name removed] was to them. Beautiful very clean facility, Gated community, Allows for Independent Living to Assisted Living to Monitored Living as needed, Excellent balanced meals provided, Medical staff on-site, Rehab center on-site, On-site church services, Lots of secure sidewalks around the building for Mom to walk, Washer/Dryer combinations in every apartment, Open floorplans Residents must press a button in their apartment each morning by 10:00 am notifying security they are okay. If action does not occur, the staff checks on the resident.

My Mom absolutely loves her new home. My brother recently visited and commented that she seems very happy and Comfortable in her new place. The staff is awesome and our Director [Name removed] has become my Mom’s very best friend. There are great activities that Mom gets to participate in and she brags about how “home cooked” her meals are and she eats very well. I am in the senior housing profession and I know excellent when I experience it and we are receiving excellent care from [Name removed] and her team. I would recommend Sleepy Hollow to anyone needing great care for their loved one.

Building and rooms are very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint is a very steep community fee.

As a result of my visit, I would love for my love one to live in such a community. There is adequate space, which serve various functions, for residents to use throughout the day. Areas available to residents include: a courtyard, which contained plants with cherry/grape tomatoes maintained by residents who have a green thumb; a sun room; and a game/activity room. I love how many of the outer doors to residents' units were decorated and personalized. Residents are free to paint and decorate their units to their personal tastes. There is also Taylor, the community dog who is so cute and personable. All of the staff I met were very friendly.

Very impressed. Clean, lively and felt very warm. Both my parents really like the layout, and the staff. They enjoyed the memory event they attended. They are on the top of my list. Sales manager was very responsive and really went way out of her way to help us.

Words cannot express the appreciation I have for staff. They truly care about residents and their needs and choices. I have a family member Who was very happy and loved being here. Homelike clean environment. Rooms are bigger here than other facilities.

We were impressed with this community. Residents were very friendly. We had a great lunch with a varied menu. They provide a continental breakfast with your choice of either lunch or dinner. The facility is 31 years old however it appears to be well maintained. Staff members were personable and well informed.

My husband has lived here since March 2018. He has adjusted well, due to the good care. He has congestive heart failure and dementia (mild). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for loving care.

My friend lives here and really enjoys it. They have caring staff and are always attentive every time I visit. Thursdays are a good time to visit, so you can enjoy happy hour and music.

I found this facility to be one of the nicest that I have visited. the distance and the cost are a concern.

This facility I can't begin to express mine and my sisters gratitude to how they treat our mother. Our Mother needs some additional needs that other places wouldn't even consider accommodating, and they do it day in and day out without a second thought. The nurses and especially the senior staff are so caring, kind, thoughtful, and always go above and beyond for all their patients every time we visit. It was scary for us being across the country not being there every day for our Mother but this facility and their staff truly make this a rare find in the senior living space. They never cease to amaze me with how well they treat our Mother and I know she's in great hands, I've seen alot of senior living places and it doesn't get better than this place. We cannot thank the staff here enough for making the transition from independent living to senior living for our mother. I wish I could do more for the staff because they truly are amazing at caring for my mothers every need.

It was wonderful to see the staff calling residents by name in many situations: in the dining area, in the halls, in their rooms. It seemed like family at both facilities in this area. It was a pleasant place to be. Our contact person shared lots of information with us and has followed up to answer any questions.
