Brookdale

We toured and were planning to move my mom in but then Covid-19 happened and the quarantine so we never got to move her in. From what I saw they have a nice range of activities. The food we had was very good. This is one I would definitely consider.

Brookdale is a good place to live, it is a very comfortable place. They are bringing our food to our rooms now instead of serving it in the dining room. They are really trying, the food is good and it is on time. I feel Brookdale is affordable and has a good location. I really like that they accept dogs.

Brookdale Grandon Farms is a great community, as good as you can get. Staff is wonderful. Helpful care services. [Name removed] is excellent. Very attentive staff.They have a ton of activities, and they really encourage the residents to attend activities. No negative comments at all.

If your family member needs memory care this is the best place. The staff is educated and well trained. They are great at re-directing and managing behaviors. We have been at a few other place that have not been so good. We are really happy at Brookdale . We can sleep at night and don't have to worry. They are very accommodating. They are just a great place.

Brookdale Tarpon Springs is a very professional organization. They are very caring. Meals are a big thing, my mom thinks the food is very good. We were actually referred to Brookdale Tarpon Spring by one of my mom's neighbors, he had both of his parents at Brookdale and is very happy and thinks it is a good place.What really clinched it for me is the location. They are close to the hospital, doctors, shopping and it is close for my mom's friends to visit.

It is such a great place, you should sign up tomorrow! They did absolutely everything they could for my dad. The staff even sat with him through the night. My dad was a restaurant owned and so he is really picky about food, but he said the food was just phenomenal. The staff went over and above what was required of them and just went completely beyond to help my dad. The staff at Brookdale are so gracious!

What I have seen of the activities and been told they look great but I have not been able to do much yet due to the quarantine for Covid-19. I feel the rooms sizes are spacious. I would say to folks looking for places, don't worry they take good care of you.

I really like the way the community is laid out. We have my mother in law in a companion room so this help with the cost. They have been really proactive regarding her care, they have her set up with hospice so she is getting extra help and care and it also helps with the cost of some of her products. They have been really good with communication. They are are always very quick to respond and get back to me when I call. I don't have to worry now that she is at Brookdale.

Excellent personel and installation

Wonderful experience. You can tell the people with heart and commitment in times of trouble. Believe me when I say Brookdale is lucky to have [name removed] as their sales person, and I’ve delt with allot of them lately. This facility is as close to a home setting you will find.

My experience has been positive so far. They have been very communicative regarding care. They have set up facetime visits and my mom enjoys seeing me that way. I really appreciate that they accepted her and are able to work with her various needs. The staff are very friendly and the people were eager to answer my questions and patient with answering them all.

This seemed like a great community. I had lunch with the residents during my visit and the food was wonderful. The residents said since they had the new dining manger the food has been pretty good. I found it to be very tasteful and I would not hesitate to have a meal here. The team I spoke to was very informative and they said the average employee has been there for about 4 years with the oldest employee being there for 18 years. The building was clean and the staff was very helpful. I heard they have had many changes in the building with the management team, but in my visit it seemed like any changes that they had was for the better. I chose another community only because of the location. I would recommend this place to anyone in the SB or Granger area

Brookdale is an extremely well managed and lovely environment. The location and views of Oak Park and the city skyline are enviable and bring a lot of natural sun light. The top floor dining room, lounge, and outdoor space is something I'd love to have access to! I've always felt great about the independent living apartment my family member has and the many professionals at Brookdale. But it's never been more comfort as it is during Covid. I believe my loved one is safer than I am with the measures proactively taken every step of the way. In addition to the many staff members who are ensuring the well being of all residents, I'd like to recognize [name removed] who's the Executive Director. [Name removed] has been proactive with communications to residents and family. Her transparency and genuineness is remarkable and greatly appreciated. I'm grateful for Brookdale!

Kudos to [name removed] the facility sales person. Talk about going over and above to help! Touring is an impossibility due to the covid crisis, but she did not let that stop her from getting my sister and me what we needed. Videos, pictures, facetime conversations and video tour. Out of the box thinking, and we are so grateful. [Name removed] has thought of everything to help us make this decision for my mom, and to make the move happen once she is stronger. Thank you for all the help.

To sum our experience briefly, we were in a very difficult situation in needing to move my mother rather quickly, and from the first moment we walked into Brookdale and met [name removed], to today, 2 months later, everything from the staff, room quality, residents, etc.. has been truly amazing. I can tell you how impressed all of my extended family is and how happy my mom is there. There is zero percent doubt on the choice we made.

When my 85 year old father who was widowed for 4 years told us he was ready to move from his 2 bedroom apartment independently living to a community , we were elated. We knew with his need for transportation to appointments as he doesn’t drive anymore ( closest family is 1 hr. away) and the need for him to eat healthier home cooked meals was a priority . Also the socialization he loves. I live in NH and I have had such great piece of mind since dad moved here November 2019. He has his own independent studio apartment . Everyone is so kind and loving here. Should he ever need assisted living , there is that available here also. I’ve visited and this place smells clean and is immaculate! He has a physical therapy/fitness room for access anytime as he still loves to ride the bike. There is a laundry room on site for him to do his own laundry giving him the luxury for staying independent! I talk to him every night and the joy in his voice sharing all the happenings of the day is priceless! He loves the good and trying new foods he never thought he would! I can’t say enough good things about Brookdale Charlotte East, and in this time of the Pandemic, this community has made every attempt to keep all the residences safe and healthy while always following the CDC and World Health recommendations!

My favorite thing is having my dog here with me in my apartment. I like the food very much. I like the nurse, if I have a question or something, they answer my quickly. The caregivers are helpful. I really get excited to see my son's visit and when entertainers come and play music.

The staff is outstanding and services are good. My apartment is attractive and comfortable and best of all, I have an outside screened porch. During the Corona virus this has been a real benefit for me. We are under isolation regimes and that is marginally uncomfortable, but we are incredibly well cared for. Our meals our delivered to our rooms 3 times a day and we still have menu choices. Some of these folks are working 12 hours a day and yet remain incredibly kind and cheerful. I am grateful to be here especially under the current emergency status. I would not be nearly as safe and comfortable in my previous home. I really appreciate the incredible efforts of the staff and planning people.

My parents love it there. They're in their mid-80s and have minor infirmities but they live in an independent living apartment. They moved in last fall. Dad says he lives like a king and should have moved years ago. He really loves the pool. Mom said she's glad she doesn't have to cook any more. Their friends from nearby often pop in for dinner and mom encourages them to come here to live. They both especially enjoy the live music every week, events like Vegas Night, and the new friends they meet at meals.

While I haven't been there (I'm in NH), [name removed] in admissions was beyond awesome in providing information, being super responsive to my long-distance questions. I feel good about the decision to move my mom there after rehab.
