Brookdale

We chose Brookdale West Hartford because of the cleanliness, the staff on the dementia unit, and the price. The room sizes are very good, my mom is in a duplex room she shares, but she has plenty of room for her belongings. I have not eaten here, but my mom likes the food. They have been absolutely wonderful through COVID, with making sure we were doing Facetime, patio visits, window visits, zoom, etc. My favorite part about this community would be the caring that the staff members have for the residents. They also care about the families. I would absolutely recommend.

The staff keeps this community very clean, it is a little more on the pricey side. The care services are great. The food is well balanced nutritional, good quality food. The rooms are very nice, the building is always neat and clean. The kindness of the staff really stood out us.

Before COVID they had bingo, pizza night, they would bring in entertainment. They would allow families to bring in their pets when they would visit. If the resident that was moving in had a pet, they would even let them keep them. The food there is excellent, they are very accommodating to the residents if they didn't like what they were serving that day. The layout is standard, they offer three different sizes of rooms to choose from.

The staff were very friendly, very caring, and very understanding of my situtaion. My husband was there until he passed away. Theirr hospice is still following up with me and wanting to make sure I have everything I need. The Brookdale staff even attended my husband's funeral. The Brookdale hopsice staff sang and played her guitar to myhusband's favorite song at his funeral. I would recommmend this community to other families.

I would definitely recommend Brookdale to others. I looked at 9 places, Brookdale was the best of what I looked at. The room sizes and layout were great. My dad was only there for 4 days. The staff did a great job to help us out any way they could. Overall it was a positive experience for our family.

When it became evident that our mother could no longer live alone, we looked for a facility that would give her proper care and be close to where we live. Brookdale Novi was our choice and it has been all we hoped it would be. She seemed very comfortable and has made some friends. Thank you for all you do for her.

My two adult sons found this facility when they decided I would no longer live alone. At first, I was angry with their decision, but after I moved in the anger quickly disappeared. The facility is beautiful. The staff is outstanding, helpful, kind, and caring. Even the meals are great. I would highly recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for senior living placement.

My mother has been a resident of Brookdale facilities since March of 2015. She first moved into SeniorLiiving/Assisted Listing facility and was a resident there for 2.5 years. In November of 2017, she was moved to the Dementia/Alzheimer's building and is currently still residing there. Her time at both Assisted Living and the Memory care facilities has been and continue to be a wonderful experience for my mother and our family as well. She continues to enjoy the fellowship of the residents and staff. We have found the staff in both facilities to be exceptional in their care for the residents. The resident are not just people to them, they have become a part of a larger family. They treat the residents with kindness, patience, and love and that I can only happen when one devotes time to become acquainted with an individual's likes, dislikes, and history of who they were. I have great admiration for the men and women who work in these facilities, it is not an easy environment many days. But continue to rise to the occasion that is represented and strive to help in any way they can. My family and I have been given a great gift- wae have peace in knowing that our mother is being cared for and she is safe. There is no price you can put on this kind of care.

I would recommend it to others. They are friendly, they would contact you or you could contact them no matter what time. They seemed to be great. They would assist you no matter what you needed. They did allow phone, virtual visits; the staff would help the residents with these.

Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. The virtual visit process and porch visit were a great alternative to the normal visit in person that is not available due to Covid. I appreciated all the time spent with my family in helping us to eventually make a decision on when to place my mom.

The attention of the staff, the cleanliness, and the family-like atmosphere made it much easier for my father to adjust. The layout was great and the room sizes were good. My dad really liked the food and he is picky. They had outdoor space for the residents to use. They offered to let my dad put up a bird feeder and they would fill it, which is thought was very kind.

I like the place. The memory care director is very attentive and passionate about patient care. The caregivers follow thought with patient care and attentive to the residents needs. I chose this community because they were a more family oriented community. I would this recommend community.

My mother went from living by herself to the assisted living and that were very helpful is helping her adjust and adapt to the transition. Before COVID, she liked it there, now it's harder. The staff are extremely caring, they go out of their to ensure that her needs are met. The food has been a challenge since COVID, due to limited choices and my mom's food allergies. I would recommend this community to other families.

We chose Brookdale because they allowed my mom to have a cat in memory care. It was the first cat to ever be in their unit in the state of FL. The room sizes were good, they have their own bathroom in each room. My mom tells me the food is really good and she is a great cook, so it has to be good! My favorite part about Brookdale has been how my mother has made friends here. I would definitely recommend this community and I have.

Can’t say enough good about their sales manager, [name removed]. The lengths that she has gone to help my family over the past year, and during covid should be commended. A gem amongst them all. We have no regrets with Brookdale pc. Outstanding community.

I moved here with the anticipation of living life to its fullest – even without driving. I enjoy live musical events, daily exercise classes, excellent meals, rewarding intellectual experiences and beautiful surroundings.

[names removed] ( aide) were great nurses and she has never had such great nurses. She states they were " Johnny on the spot" whenever she needed something.[names removed] in rehab were the most fun she has ever had and if she has to go through rehab again she wants it to be with them.

Everyone on staff is very attentive, the caregivers make you feel like they have the time to sit and listen to you even when you know they are busy.

Everybody has been treating me really well. Now that I have been here I am learning the routine. Very good staff I enjoy every one.

On behalf of [name removed], I have been here 4 years, during this trip I have experienced a lot of time in the front office. My feeling of the current director is unquestionable. She performs her duties without question. The best she can do. She has precautioned us from suffering this virus and we all grateful for that!
