Brookdale

We really liked Brookdale, it was our second choice but it was hard to choose. It was an excellent virtual tour. They had a fast response time and they did not push me to choose their property and I appreciated that.

It was a very easy process, and the staff was good at sharing information. This has been better than expected, especially during the pandemic. The transition for my loved one was good. The food has been good and my loved one enjoys it.

Our parents are in their 80's and it was a very stressful situation trying to get them to stay at Brookdale. After several months though, they have completely adapted and are actually thriving! We can't believe the changes in them. Their attitudes are wonderful, they're eating better and they've made friends. They love living at Brookdale and have asked that we not come and get them to go out to dinner, etc. We are so happy we chose Brookdale.

We have had a great experience with Brookdale Oak Park. It is a very strong community and all of the residents who are here have been engaging and kind. I would recommend this facility to other families looking.

The community is very nice and the staff is very friendly. They have so much going on and my loved one is participating and enjoying them. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

I can't say enough GREAT things about Brookdale Rome & their AMAZING staff! Brookdale Rome has a warmth to it. The staff truly cares about their residents & treat them like family. They've looked after & loved on my Grandparents, yes, I have 2 family members there, since 2018. They treat them with kindness, love, affection, care, & respect. They have fun outings, guests, & social events. I've also seen how they handled the global pandemic of Covid-19 & they should receive the highest praise & appreciation! They worked long hours diligently to keep their residents & staff safe & were in consatnt communication with the familys, as the CDC & state guidelines were constantly changing. They took Covid very seriously, were on top of every CDC & state mandate, in-house exposures, & quarantined accordingly. They ran a very tight ship during the pandemic & in turn, kept their residents safer than any other facility. We're very grateful for Brookdale Rome. It's truly a special place!

My biggest concern had to do with my loved one's mobility. They had multiple floors, and I would have worried about fire safety if we couldn’t get her in on the first floor because she has trouble with stairs. Also, the apartments had a step down when you walked into the apartment, which could be a fall hazard. But the apartments looked wonderful. They were new and updated. And the people were friendly there.

All the staff is wonderful, kind and helpful. From the director down to the clean staff, they are all amazing. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

This is the only place I want my mom to be. The people are very kind, and so many of them have long-term tenure there. This particular Brookdale is very small and personable. I think it's a great place, and I wouldn't want my mom anywhere else. A lot of people are looking for the fancy façade, but for me, I like the hominess of Brookdale and what happens when I walk in the front door. The staff are very caring and take great care of my loved one. Those are the things that I care about, and we have all of that here.

We feel like we got really lucky placing our loved one here. I'm really very pleased. I've worked in the industry in this area, and I've never seen anything like them before. It's run great, they're hands-on, the nurses are high quality, and the rest of the staff is great. If anyone asks me, I sing their praises. They are unusually good compared to a lot of places I've seen. It's mostly the staff, how caring they are toward my loved one. They go out of their way. Also the executive director makes a big difference. He's very hands-on, and just fabulous. The head nurse is absolutely fabulous as well. My loved one took a fall, and on her own time, the head nurse went and visited her in the hospital. When my loved one lived with me, it was hard on me. It just so happened that she needed respite care, and a spot at Brookdale opened up. She wasn't there three days before she said, "I wonder if my daughter will let me stay here." She brought it up herself, which was really something. With Covid, they're strict with their regulations, and I love it. I also like that it's a small, intimate community.

We think the staff members there have been very gracious, warm and accommodating. They helped us out in a huge way getting things straightened out with the Veteran administration, so they just really went above and beyond for our family. Also the activities are good they have a lot to offer.

Brookdale Hamilton gave a really good virtual tour. I really liked it there. It was definitely one of my top considerations. I liked how they cater to the residents. I remember them saying they have different groups for activities, and things like aroma therapy if your family member didn’t want to participate in a big class, especially in memory care.

I got to see Brookdale Clinton in person, and I thought it was a very nice facility. The people I met on the tour were nice. When it came down to it, the timing of it just didn't work out.

I would recommend this community to others based on our experience.

The cleanliness of the community is great, the friendliness of the staff is awesome. The care services have been really good, our only issues which isn't really an issues at all would be the communication. Sometimes it takes awhile to get a responsive but we do know they get very busy. Our loved one due to her health requires extra time and care, and they do a great job giving her that extra time and care. We have been very impressed with them, this Brookdale community has been outstanding, the director is great and we are just happy with our decision. The meals are really good, that has been one thing our loved one has consistently said was good. We can look at a calendar that has all of the activities and they look to be pretty good for us. The value for cost is very good, right on par with other communities we checked out.

The tour at Brookdale was great and the facility was very nice. We were not particularly happy with our short experience though.

The grounds and cleanliness of the community really stood out to us, it is very modern looking. The people there are all very nice. We do not know the activities first hand but we do know our loved one has plenty of opportunities to participate in them.

My loved one really liked them. The food was excellent. It was a nice place, but more expensive. On top of the rent and care, you had to pay your cable if you chose to have it. And you had to purchase renters' insurance, which other places didn't require.

The staff members and their care services are a 5 plus, and we have spoken with our loved one regarding the meals and dining and she is really enjoying them. The activities are doing wonderful, we did not think our loved one would ever participate in them but them women who are working there have done a great job getting our loved one involved. The manager and workers are just unbelievable. This is a safe and welcoming community.

It is a beautiful place and they have an excellent location. The staff are wonderful and helpful to work with. My friend likes the food and enjoys it. It is a great value.
