Brookdale

Brookdale Weatherford is very nice. The front of it needs to be cleaned up. It's not very welcoming. Other that I am very pleased with the care and the facility overall.

There is nothing that immediately comes to my mind about any improvements that need to be made at the Brookdale Southside facility, either with the building itself or with the staff members working there.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

The staff is outstanding at Brookdale Sunwest . The care is great. She has made a complete turn around and she is 90 years old. We are just very pleased with this facility all around.

Brookdale Grand Blanc is wonderful. Right now I am very very happy with it. They are awesome with activities. They have a very caring staff. I am very very thankful to have found this facility.

Everything is really just fine over here at the Brookdale Grand Prairie facility. There is nothing that comes to my mind about anything that the facility or that the staff members can make improvements on.

At Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens the cleanliness and friendliness is very good. It is visually very beautiful. My mother-in-laws apartment is spacious and nice. I have heard that the clothes dryers don't work very well. But any time we have an issue they take care of it very quickly. She does also complain that it is really cold downstairs. It does seem silly that the residents have to bundle up to go to dinner. You would think being a senior living facility they would know that the residents are cold already and accommodate that. That is the compliant really. Otherwise we have been very happy.

They were in the process of remodeling. My biggest complaint is the exhaust fan in the bathroom switch was broken and it wasn't working.

As far as public relations they are doing really good. They are updating the facility and doing a lot of good work, so that is a good thing. My wife and I have sampled the food ourselves and it is pretty good.

Brookdale Lakeshore is going okay. They are struggling with consistent shower times. We also had a mix up with the medication being sent to the wrong place. My sisters had to stay on top of things to get things worked through. That has been a little scary. They had a new nurse and that was a big reason for the confusion. We are not dis satisfied with the experience but we had to work harder than we should have. Overall it is a nice facility.

When my parents moved in 9/13 this place was frustrating to work with the personnel. No follow up. No call backs. This year (2015) I see everything has improved. Better communication. More confidence working with staff. I will miss Jenny very much.

This facility is serving my needs very adequately. In addition, a unit for patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's Disease is currently under construction and will be available in May, 2016. My wife may enter this new facility at that time.

The staff is quite friendly and they were very helpful in moving my mother. She is able to have her little dog and her room is quite bright. I appreciated their recommendations and they have a 3 part evaluation of needs (one by a family member, one by her physician, and one by the wellness coordinator of the facility). That made me feel quite confident that all of the assistance she needs will be provided. I also like the fact that we can visit at any time, not during set hours. They are remodeling the common areas and it will be lovely when finished.

The staff that is there is great. They are so caring and kind, but unfortunately there is a high turnover rate here. More staff would be helpful.

I think they try to keep the residents engaged well. I am speaking of the other residents because my Father-In-Law does not do much. Maybe they could try to have more outdoor activities

We love Brookdale North Boulder. The sense of community that my mom has is wonderful. She is very connected to the other residents. One thing that could improve is having consistent staff. Everyone that is there is very connected but once they leave it is very upsetting to the residents. I think they could pay the staff a little better so they could keep them longer. I think the care seems unorganized also. I would like to see that improved. Mom went to the hospital a lot this summer so she was in rehab. They ordered PT and OT and that seemed consistent but he nursing component seemed very unorganized and inconsistent. My mom kept having to give the same answers to all the different nurses. Overall though she very much likes it here.

I made a request and it took over 2 mths to get fixed. My mom's TV was not working properly, I went out and bought a new one and they fixed the original one. The staff is very nice. My mom ended up with the smallest room there which is more like a closet. We're waiting for her to get a bigger room. I like the place and it is close to us.

Would not recommend them. The billing is horrible. The nurses are fine and the cleanliness but the bookkeeping is horrible.

The staff here is great. The facility is very nice and bright when you walk in. It is also very clean. I think there could be better communication among the staff, so that they can better serve the residents. Other than that, great place.
