Brookdale

The facility is clean and the staff goes over and above to take care of the residents. Everyone here is so nice, from the maintenance staff to the administrative staff. There are enough activities to keep the residents from getting bored and listless.

So far, everything seems to be going well with the staff. They are very professional and friendly. The facility is always clean, as far as I can see and well kept. The other residents are very nice and well taken care of.

My parents live there and so far everyone has been nothing but kind and caring... I finally feel they are now finally, safe and well cared for!!! thanks to all!

My experience has been positive thus far.

My mother is just getting used to her Brookdale home. The staff is helpful, friendly, and courteous. They make sure all my mother's needs are met. I visit often and am impressed with the variety of daily activities to choose from. My mother loves the food. She has made several friends and dines with a great group of people. We have been pleased with her care. Shortly after Mom moved in Rob came to install a new door, new light fixtures, and new venetian blinds. WOW! Great service.

Only 3 weeks but very happy with employees and services they provide. Great building and apartment. Food is excellent.

The location of this facility is absolutely beautiful. The facility itself is well kept and clean. The staff is gracious and professional. There are a decent amount of activities for the residents to participate in. So far, so good.

So far it has been a good experience. It was a tough decision to make and I chose Brookdale because they have a good reputation. Everyone is friendly and I think it is on the higher end, and also it is a convenient location.

I would say that overall it is a very good value. The staff is very personable and they have been good about getting the residents to participate in the activities. The only thing they need to do is let people know upfront about various charges. Once I made the decision to go there, I am hit with all these hidden fees, so they need to explain that before-hand.

They can improve on communication. They do very well at making their presentation, but they could improve on efficiency. My loved one has passed and the director has not even returned my calls, even to get the bill straightened out, so I am not real thrilled with that. The hospice was good though.

The food is not good. If the food was a little better I would like this place a lot more. Not So Good Food! Other than that everything else is great!

My mother, who has been at Brookdale for a month now has adapted to it very well. Her apartment is very nice and she speaks highly of the staff. The only complaint I have is that on the day she moved in, it seemed unorganized. There was no one there to greet her and help her settle in. It was a disappointing first day for us as her family. We were not sure what she was suppose to do or how to get things done. She enjoys the meals and is eating much better now than when she was at home. She seems very happy there now which is what counts.

The food is not good. If the food was a little better I would like this place a lot more. Not So Good Food!

They do not communicate has much as they should with me to let me know what is going on with my loved one, but other than that it has been a pretty good experience. We just got into it, so it is new, but it's pretty good.

The experience we had with the Brookdale Brookhurst facility was an extremely favorable one for both my loved one and the family. Everything about the place seemed to be okay or above average at the least.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.
