Some caregivers were terrible, but one or two were good. We only had in-home care providers who came 5 days a week, and later dropped to 2 or 3 days a week

Most times, they are not able to provide consistent care. Initially, communication was not good. But after I voiced my concerns, it has improved. We had to make sure that the caregiver knows to let Visiting Angels know when she is not coming so that they can locate a replacement. Telling only us does not help the situation. Only having them come out one day a week improved their reliability. I am not sure if they have a large staff to backfill when someone is out, which is surprising to us. Once we made the change to only use them once a week, our needs were met. We considered trying another agency, but decided to stay with Visiting Angels. I would recommend them to others if they want to use Visiting Angels for only 4 -6 hours a day, a few times a week. We had so many issues with them not arriving on time or not showing up at all. We had no choice but to only use them one day for a long shift weekly. That was the best solution for our family. You really have to stay on top of things with them, otherwise you might receive subpar service.

The support we get is inconsistent or not at all. We get calls from senior helpers last minute with constant changes. The care is not consistent or lacking altogether. We are very disappointed in the attention and care we are getting.

Not enough staff. Staff assigned of low quality. Sleeping when time to change shift. Personnel is friendly but no staff to serve clients. Canceled today and left me in a bind.had to cancel my plans at last minute.

We no longer use them as they could not handle the situation. Most caregivers could not speak English and we not willing to do the job. Definitely not what we were told when we employed them.

Amada is a Home Health Care company that I would NOT recommend in Oklahoma City. There was little to no organization within their administration and very little communication with their clients. For older individuals routines equal security. Changing health care workers schedules without notification agitates the elderly. One major problem that caused several schedule problems was reliable transportation with the Amada employees.

I liked the lady who came to see what I needed but didn't care for the lady they sent had no conversation with my 95 year old dad who is very sociable and played on phone alot.im still in the same place looking for some one to help with dad a a husband with tbi and just had hip replacement. Stopped to talk to care advantage 2 weeks ago and lady just basically told me what they can't do I've been doing this 2 years now with both but need socially and worker not afraid of animal and only 2 times a week 3 hours minimum.

New Horizons did not offer live-in care when I needed such care for my father, so we had 2 or 3 caregiving shifts. The daytime and early evening caregivers were friendly and helpful. All of one of the night caregivers sometimes ignored my father's call bell or were grouchy with him when he rang it. None of their caregivers were trained to deal with someone with my father's severe disability, which affected his ability to walk, so I rehired my previous caregivers from out of state, who are experts.

They are terrible communicators. They don't normally answer the phone and they don't return calls. They schedule people who don't show, but the client isn't told the Caregiving isn't coming. With this company you are never sure until they knock on the door.

The owners of Senior Helpers in Cypress, CA are warm and compassionate people. However, we have had serious problems with their business practices. We signed a contract on [date removed] in which they agreed to strike both the 2 week notice for cancellation of the service (under 4. Term) and the 48 hour notice for cancellation of a shift. We provided a $[removed] deposit at the initiation of services because we expected to need many hours for my father's care initially when his primary caregiver was recovering from an illness. We paid via an ACH. After we cancelled our service with them, they did not return my fax, emails or calls to request return of the deposit. After chasing them down, one of the owners called me on [date removed] to say that he reviewed the contract, that I was right, and agreed to return the deposit within 10 days. We still don't have it as of [date removed].

Until they get their staff shortage fixed, there will be problems. I would not recommend their services to others looking for home care. They promise the moon but do not deliver.

They responded quickly at first...I don't think I would recommend...They had the aide fill out a task sheet every visit in a notebook and didn't request it be returned. There was never a follow up call or visit to see how everything was going .. My opinion you need to ask as a form of customer service and to improve future care ..I would NOT recommend to a friend or family member ....

We used home care services through Senior Helpers Murrells Inlet for my loved one. Our experience was not great. I would not recommend Senior Helpers Murrells Inlet to others.

My experience was not the most positive. The aides were respectful but too many different people were sent to the home and many didn't provide several of the services advertised. Additionally, the company kept the deposit which by contract they were allowed to do but by doing so didn't demonstrate any compassion given that services had to be stopped due to a hospitalization and subsequent change in level of care needed.

Rates are good & Director of Nursing is nice enough. Used the transportation service which stressed out my Mom as the person barely spoke English, drove chaotically, and wouldn't listen when told to take backroads versus freeways which extended the ride time by over an hour. We then had a caregiver who was wonderful but by the 3rd week was a no call/no show and was terminated. The 4th week, they were supposed to have a replacement in place for the agreed upon shift. No one advised me of an update so I touched base that morning & spent 2 hours on text going back & forth trying to get someone to show up on time. My Mom got so frustrated that she had me cancel the service. No apologies, nothing. This group has potential but their lack of communication & reliability makes them not recommended.

Disappointed with the communication with seniors helping seniors. Low expectations for the seniors they have working for them. Do not recommend

At Home Comfort Care helped to care for my mother in the last years of her life though we had some issues with some of their caregivers (such as them falling asleep when they were supposed to be caring for my mother). However, I would warn everyone to never pay a bill for this vendor in advance. In my mother's last days, it was arranged that they would come and stay with her. This bill was in the amount of $[removed]. I paid it in advance. My mother died before those days came to pass. I let the owner, [name removed], know that the check was already on the way and if she could either shred it or send it back to me. She agreed to send the check back. Instead, she cashed it. That was in mid-August 2023. Since August, [name removed] has given me many excuses about why she has not paid me back. It is now November 2023 and I still have not received a repayment of those funds. If you decide to use this company, never, ever pay them in advance. They won't even pay your money back if your loved one dies.

We use home care services for my loved one through Golden Years In Home Senior Care and I am not happy with what I am receiving for the high monthly cost that I pay. Trying to communicate with the staff is next to impossible. The billing department needs some serious help! I have already given notice of leaving this company. I would not recommend Golden Years In Home Senior Care to others.

Honestly, it's difficult to say that cut and dry. The first helper we had from Home Care Book was [name removed] and she was a 5 in every area. She was with us about 4 weeks but then she had a family emergency and had to leave service. After that, the service and communication with the agency went downhill fast. We never got back to where it was before. Room for improvement. The level of skills and professionalism did not seem standard across the board for those caregivers that we met. No one measured up to [name removed]

Based on the experience we have had so far with Cardinal Senior Care, the staff members didn't possess the professionalism I expected from the agency. We ended up cancelling the contract after 5 weeks.
