Always maintain communication with office staff when providers are late or change adjust hours. At times they were unable to find a replacement when the assigned provider calls in.

If one has good exp in the nursing field it's an okay place to work pay is ok I guess could be better off course no job benefits health or dental once they have used u enough one becomes indispasable like trash basically they are good at faking that it's a great agency to work for wait till u meet the real snakes in charge I would not ever refer anyone to work for these folk

90% of caregivers were excellent-10% ok. Administration was terrible-poor communication with myself and caregivers. They seem very disorganized

Quality of care can range from 1 - 5 depending on the caregiver you get. Matching caregiver ability with patient needs is critical and not done well. Their process of getting caregivers assigned needs to be fixed.

They were ok. Too much turn-over and sick call replacements.

Their response times are slow. They don't have a care summary of what the caregiver does each day. Just the weekly invoice. I would recommend them, but with reservations.

Home Instead only guaranteed a caregiver between the hours of 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. We needed someone 4 to 8 PM seven days a week, so we switched to a different agency.

The owner has been helpful and responsive. The caregiver has been pretty good. The schedulers and support staff have done an adequate job. I have asked them to get us another caregiver for weekends and fill in. This has been a problem as they have not come up with anyone yet.

I would recommend. The cost was cheaper than others.

We haven't used Your Own Home for a couple of years now (haven't used any agency) but there were several times when the caregiver was a no call no show. We have also used [name removed] in the past and found them to be better qualified.

HomeWell Care Services really helped out when I needed someone to sit with my mom when she got sick suddenly. They were excellent at answering questions and explaining the processes and billing. My mom was good with most of the help that arrived as they were friendly and helpful. The downsides were that staff were routinely late. I never got confirmation that someone was actually scheduled the days I requested. I’d call and give the days each week and then someone would show up, again I would have to call to make sure since people were late. One time we did have an issue with a woman showing up due to a last minute change of staff. We actually called and asked this woman to be sent home because she came in and just fell right to sleep. They were apologetic. This is my first time utilizing a home service and I didn’t have a routine schedule so I can see that some of this is probably normal for the process. And I was grateful to have the help set up quickly. I’d use HomeWell again.

1st care taker sent had already given her notice but they still sent her for 1 day… 2nd care taker only lasted 3 weeks and then resigned due to personal medical issues (?). Amada then wanted to send a person without me intervening with them. I don’t think they have committed staff members.

We were informed that one of the benefits that my mother would receive was transportation. Even though this was one of the main reasons for choosing this agency. There was no transportation for her. There was one excuse of another for my mother to not get the transportation that she needed for her Doctors appointments. Every week to find the right home care person, my mom was given a new person. Although she did have her favorite, this person couldn’t come every week on the same day. She had to be given a different person on the week the other person could not come. This was too much for her to take!

Initial meeting was good and they were very responsive, however, the four hour minimum and the timing of what we needed proved to be too much for them. They had difficulty finding consistent staff to meet our needs, and the constant changeover was too much for our parents who suffer from dementia and Alzheimer’s. Not sure if any other agency would do better and I don’t know when we will find out because now the parents are insisting that nobody other than family come in their house. On a positive note, they did have a few really good staff members that were very caring.

I would like for the caregivers to be there on time and stay for more than one shift. It seems like I am seeing a new caregiver at least once a week. This was my first choice. However, they are not following through as well as they advertise

Some of the caregivers are not very well trained in taking care of a male dementia patient with incontinence.

Owners- not able to deliver what was initially promised. Inconsistencies. Caregivers- all nice, not all helpful. Ones we've worked with not good at taking initiative. Not all caregivers seem familiar with senior needs. Caregivers asking to go early, or arrive late, and many last minute cancelations.

Not very organized. They can improve on being organized and accounting and they don't call when they say they will

When we first started out with Servaus, we got really good care from management and providers. In rather short order, the agency was sold to a new owner, and the change began. Initially the new owner was responsive personally to phone calls, but she quickly stopped answering and her voice mail promised a return call that rarely happened. Calls were then fielded by a supervisor (that changed a couple of times); then that became iffy. Billing was a real challenge; I had a really hard time getting timely and accurate invoices, but they billed every week! Ultimately it got corrected. Then the constant change of providers who were not well trained, and seemed to be just filling some time to make money. Mostly they watched TV with occasional checks on [name removed]. Husband has mild/moderate Alzheimer’s, and was often outside under the pavilion reading. The checks were perfunctory. We were paying [fee removed]/hour, and I felt that we really were not getting optimal care. We had one whole month of “no shows” for the Friday shift. I called my contact at Senior Care One, and we chatted for a while. She was aware that the staff and clients were very unhappy with Servaus and were leaving in great numbers. She referred me to [community removed] , a new agency, and I agreed to meet with them. It turns out that the Owner/Supervisor was someone that I had started with at Servaus, and who had moved on to start [community removed] when the new owner at Servaus proved to be not so experienced, and the agency was floundering. We left at the end of [date removed]

All these aids should be trained —so that they all have the same level of care and knowledge. Some couldn’t even speak English—and couldn’t understand a simple question. It should be REQUIRED to get training from a seasoned worker so everyone lives up to a certain standard.
