We had a good caregiver-very helpful and caring. Not sure what happened but there was an incident that resulted in the caregiver not coming back. It has been several weeks now without any caregivers being available.

Very impressed with the owners and their team. They were always responsive to my requests, and gave me additional resources to help me with a difficult situation that resolved itself with the help of this resource. Unfortunately at the time of my engagement with the team they seemed short staffed, perhaps because of my location. Thus I tried another caregiver that is more local to my area.

No consistency with arrival time. Not all employees were knowledgeable about helping with cathetering when I was told they were trained to do so. Age of employees were not appropriate with age of patient. (16 to 70) Did not complete list of things I asked them to do. Poor communication.

I don’t want to take up too much time with the backstory but my estranged (her choice) mother-in-law (PR) came to live with us unexpectedly 8 years ago. We rapidly came to understand that she had developed dementia and was incapable of living alone. Needing a break after 8 years we contracted for 24/7 non-medical care/companionship for a week. All of the caregivers provided adequate care, some provided good care, and a couple provided excellent care. Those providing excellent care planned ahead for how to keep PR engaged. The only real issue we had is that PR developed a skin infection that needed ER care once detected. Our issue is that the company stood down the caregiver whose shift started before PR came back from the ED, which meant no one was there when PR got home. I was told their policy is that they cancel the shift if the client is not there. I would have been better served to keep the staff available to meet PR when she got home since she cannot be left unattended.

The main issues were that the company was not communicating directly with my mom, the cleaners had significant restrictions on what they could do, and they kept changing staff, which made my mom uncomfortable. She is no longer using the company.

They seem like good people. They just need to get better organized and understand their clients needs better.

I like the flexibility of hours. We travel to family in the summer and I like that it's okay to skip a month . Yes. I would recommend Home Instead to other families based on the experience so far

The initial meeting was fine. She ([name removed]) was friendly. However, she was overscheduled that day and was several hours late. They shouldn't over schedule like that. Especially when they're driving to different locations. We all know traffic can be problematic. As for the caregiver. She was fine at first (as most are). Then tardiness and no call/ no show becomes a problem. She eventually asked my mother what we were paying for the services. Of course, what I paid was significantly more for the service than what we received. It's hard to find good workers, I understand. But my mom felt it was way overpriced for the services she was receiving.

The price is reasonable, communication is slow and frequently requires multiple follow-ups. They have bandwidth issues where they struggle to meet the exact requested hours due to staff availability. They get someone there but maybe just 2 hours of a 4 hour shift.

They could improve on scheduling. I had told them I needed someone on 2nd and 4th Sundays, and there was a 3rd Sunday that a sitter showed up, and we had left home already. Also, I have no way of knowing ahead of time if someone is scheduled or not. Last week, 2nd Sunday, I called beforehand to see if I had someone coming, and she said no. Thankfully, today someone called to let me know that I had a sitter scheduled for this coming Sunday, which I don't need. Hopefully, we've straightened it out now.

Not much that I liked, to be honest. They could improve upon: better communication from the caregiver- their person was always 30-45 minutes late and one day didn't show up at all. When I contacted them, they told me that she had a family emergency and wouldn't be available for the rest of the week! Provide an experienced and reliable person- their caregiver sat and was on her phone most of the day.

[name removed] was fantastic to work with. Very responsive, able to adjust schedules quickly as needed, and just an all round pleasant person in a high stress position. The caregivers themselves varied a great deal in their professionalism, and their rapport with my dad.

The person we spoke to initially was very helpful, energetic, and positive. The first caretaker was very nice and helpful, but due to other reasons, left the service. The subsequent caretakers were not as helpful, and my FIL stated that the person was on her phone

It didn't start out good. They keep changing people coming and that made my dad upset he didn't understand why all these people he were coming to his house- but once mike was the one that came every day it was good, and one day no one showed up.

Started out wonderful. The caregiver was on time, each time, helpful & my husband liked her, which wasn't easy. Near the end 'tho she did not show & they were unable to provide a substitute for the remainder of the contract, which was very disappointing because I liked the staff & caregiver a lot myself.

He has someone different every day. They can't seem to keep people and the ones they send don't have common sense. A very few have actually engage dad in conversation. We have not had a good regular daytime since January. People let him stay in bed all morning and he doesn't get breakfast till 11. Then the evening person comes and gets him dinner… So basically he only gets two meals a day. Everyone just lets him sit sit sit watch TV and they sit sit sit on their phone. we started a whiteboard and asked people to put dates when he gets a shower and pick up the mail, etc. but even that's not getting done regularly. They have recently changed all of their employees and although the schedulers are very nice when they call it's almost a daily occurrence they call that he's not getting anyone for a shift that day. So it's really not nearly as good as when we started last year .

I was so desperate for care. I didn't really look to see what stood at the most. I don't think I would recommend

I am bed bound need assistance with changing diapers and bathing while in bed most of the caregivers that were sent out were not experienced in these areas. When I asked Coordinator why they were unable to provide caregivers with these skills as promised i was told that the caregivers stated they have experience in this area when interviewed and they had no way to confirm the validity of their statements

We have a very good caregiver for my husband. He takes him for walks, make breakfast or lunch and communicates very well with him. It depends on what kind of help you need. I had a very bad experience with them last [Date Remvoed] I was leaving on a trip and at the last minute the care giver that I had been working with cancelled on me. Luckily, I had a good friend that picked up the days that the caregiver was suppose to come. I stay with them because of the caregiver I have now. They also work with the VA and Guide.

Workers were competent. Lack of communication on scheduling was lacking. Assessment went well. Caregivers were great. Small agency needing help with communication and scheduling. This is my review. Thanks.
