2nd Family has been great working with our mother and making sure she is well taken care of while we are unable to attend to her daily needs. The care givers that 2nd Family sends to our house are very professional and attendance to our mother has been very accommodating. In addition to her daily needs – skin care, bathing and changing, etc. - they also help her with her exercises so that she can continue to gain strength and stability. When both my parents were at the same residence, 2nd family was very accommodating towards the both of them. They were very professional as the situations with my father worsened. However, as has his dementia got worse, we had to move him to an assisted living facility. As we moved my father out, 2nd Family was very obliging to our need to reduce the hours that we could afford towards them with minimal reduction in care. Our only concern has been that 2nd Family would not provide notice if the care giver was running late. Communication between all parties could have been better – using only SMS text, for example. Recently, communication has gotten better all around.

Nothing was wrong with this agency and they would have been suitable for care. However they were not a good fit for my parent.

I have no complaints about the tour I had taken at this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. I like that they had an open floor plan with lots of great amenities available to all of the residents.

Currently in on-going negotiations to arrive at understanding of mutual expectations which up to now has changed based on which caretaker was engaged for the two days ( Tue and Thu). Apparently expectations were not explained to the replacement caretaker prior to being sent out to the client. This I believe is a missing piece of any new relationship. I feel it is the responsibility of the Agency to advise caretakers on what is expected while on site and a general profile of the client to ensure a better interaction between caretaker and client with full knowledge of personalities......demeanor, language difficulties, elderly are some times a little impatient, but prior knowledge of this can certainly mitigate misunderstanding and increase patience. Quite frankly I find it difficult to believe that these factors are not part of the training and engagement instructions to caretakers.

I am pleased with how things are going for my loved one so far at this company. All of the staff have been very friendly to him and have been polite and professional with the care they have been providing. They are on time to there appointments and have kept in communication with my family and I. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone.

The people were very helpful and very nice. I saw that they offered all the services that we wanted. However, I felt that they were not as attentive to things as I would like them to be. Also they were slow to get things done.

These people were great and they were very nice. I did like that they had the services that we needed. I just did not think that they were very good about getting things done fast enough. Especially when it came to assessing dad.

Every person who comes is great, friendly it's just finding the right personality to click with my mother-in-law. They are courteous and polite but it would be nice to have the same person on regular basis.

The help from the caregiver was fine for my mom They helped more around the house like light housework. They were doing a good job. However she just cancelled, she felt she no longer needs the help.

When I came home from the hospital the caregiver that I had hired did not show up. I needed someone immediately! In my groggy state I started looking for someone and found Right at Home. [Removed] came to see me that day and set me up with service. I got someone right away and [Removed] was always in the background in case of questions. Everything went smoothly. My caregiver did so much more than I expected and we became friends. I had to end our relationship when I was able to drive. Yaaay! If I had to do it over again I would choose Right at Home.

This home care agency was a little more expensive than the service we choose. They could not guarantee that all their caregivers were certified. The people we spoke to were nice.

We have nothing against Home Helpers. We only used them for a short time and they were fine, but we tried another agency and they were great! Home Helpers weren't quite as impressive.

I get good care with the assistance who helps with my home and needs. She arrives on time and I can count on her. I would recommend this for good in home care.

We used them just once. We had a lovely girl that came to help us. She went with us to the senior center. She wasn't very well trained and didn't have much experience. I'm sure she will be great once she gets more experience though.

This was our first time working with a home care agency and I think our expectations may have been off. The owner Greg was very nice and caring and wanted to do the right thing. We used the service for about 10 days and then we realized he needed more intensive care. The staff that came to the home were nice and seemed competent. I would recommend checking into the consistency before using his home care service.

They did a good enough job while we had them. This was only supposed to be temporary, so it worked well for what we needed. Though we did have a couple of instances where people showed up late.

Companion Plus was helpful getting my mother (age 90) in home non-medical care. They were courteous and efficient and answered all our questions. They provided a caregiver immediately upon request and will certainly recommend this organization to others with similar needs.

They have done very well. We had one caregiver that didn't show up. Once we brought it to their attention they found us a consistent person that works out well, and that we are able to consistently get. The billing was a little confusing at first, but they have gotten things straightened out now.
