I hope you never need home care because it's expensive.

We use home care services for my loved one through Home Instead Newport News and the experience has been very good. The staff is friendly and understanding. Based on our experience, I would recommend them to others.

We have been very pleased with the caregivers at Senior Helpers of The Triangle as well as the company owners. The care is expensive since it is self pay as opposed to insurance, but we would recommend the Senior Helpers services to other families.

We gave it an overall rating of a 4 because nothing is perfect, we had a couple hick ups and IC Care took care of it. Other than that we had a great experience with them and would recommend them to others.

The company was very professional and several of the caregivers worked well with my dad. Once we had a pattern of regular hours, the company provided caregivers as requested and worked with us during a challenging time.

We used home care services through Friends of the Family briefly. Our first nurse for 4 hours was wonderful and helpful. The second nurse arrived at 8pm. My husband was over 6ft tall and was bed bound on Hospice. Right away she told us that she couldn't lift that much and that is what we needed her help with the most. So she was of no help. I'm surprised a nurse, who I'm assuming knew about the patient, who couldn't turn or lift would be assigned to a patient who needed that. My husband passed away at 10pm, so she only stayed for 2 hours. The complaint I have is: I waited a long time for my reimbursement of pre payment and then when I did receive it, the check was made out to my Husband, who had passed away, instead of me. My name was on everything the agency had, so I don't understand why they would not use my name for the reimbursement. I was able to deposit the check, but others might not have been able to.

We use Home Care services through All Ways Caring HomeCare and we are very pleased with this service. We hope that we will be able to book a second aide. We would definitely recommend All Ways Caring HomeCare to others.

When my wife was still in the hospital after multiple surgeries I was lost on how to take care of her because she had aphasia from a stroke. Then she came home. I had Medicare professionals come to the house but it was only for about 4 hours a week. I talked to Senior Helpers several times before I actually contracted with them. I started with 14 hours a day and gradually reduced it to 6 hours. The caregivers have been wonderful and the staff has accommodated my multiple requests. I highly recommend them if you need home care.

Good personality fit with my step mother which is a big plus as she can be difficult. I would recommend their services to others looking for home care!

HHHC of Lexington truly cares about patients and there families.! I would have given 5s for all ratings BUT in early HHHC then employed an older woman, who was then ACTIVELY grieving the recent death of HER mom. This woman did not come to work in proper (scrubs + work shoes) clothes and poorly cared for my Mom. I believe HHHC of Lexington terminated this woman after I reported her lack of diligence. Other than that woman, HHHC personnel was fabulous.

The caregiver sent out for my Dad was very good. She took good care of him, found activities to keep him moving like dancing as he loved to listen to music. She did do some cleaning and my mom was very happy with the quality. My parents really liked her. Unfortunately, she was out sick for an extended time, and they didn't have anyone to replace her. The VA then approved paying for several hours a week of care for my dad, and referred a different caregiver agency, so even if she was able to come back they weren't using that agency.

The supervisor was extremely friendly and helpful. The caregiver was very good but needed some guidance on what she needed to do. They were a god send during a very difficult transitional time for my father. Cost was a bit expensive but I understand it is the going rate. I was just surprised since this is my first experience finding care for an elderly parent.

This seems to be a fine agency with caring people. They've gone the extra mile to inform me of situations that might arise re my brother, and he has really enjoyed both caregivers. The only reason I put lower scores was because the first caregiver seemed to struggle with carrying out several tasks we asked of her. But the second one is fantastic!

This agency was quick to respond to my inquiry. The initial intake was scheduled promptly and was subsequently detail oriented. We were paired with an amazing caregiver and she is a perfect match for my mom. The agency requires 24 hour notice to schedule and or change care and you are required to initially set up routine 12 hours per week of care. If you need to change or cancel there is not a charge as long as you meet the 24 hour advance notice. We are pleased with the phone response as they always have a live human answering the phone and the transfer to the staffing specialist has always been immediate. There is a type of non compete clause so if you decide you want to hire your caregiver privately there is a $10,000 contract buy out fee. They charge $30 per hour for home care. The only problem we have encountered is that the caregiver we prefer has other weekly routine clients with the agency so if we want to schedule other times with her it is very difficult.

We previously used home care services through Acasa Senior Care for my loved one. I was, for the most part, very pleased with those placed with us and Acasa was good to work with. I would recommend them to others.

My sisters and I had a wonderful experience with 2 managers who came to the PT center where my mom was to figure out a home healthcare plan for her. Their assurances went a long way to help with decisions. We were told we wouldn't find all the caregivers to be compatible but we did find an excellent one and the company worked to make sure we got her M-F. It's not easy for them to schedule weekend caregivers so we may eliminate those days & care for her ourselves.

A good experience, reliable and kind workers, but very expensive.

I love their story about how they were founded. They truly care about providing the best service and the best providers.

I really just needed them to sit with my husband so I could get out of the house. They will do whatever u need done but I didn't need house help & my husband wouldn't allow them to bathe him although later on when we had hospice they did bathe him.

The receptionist is extremely helpful and kind Price is average. Caregiver just seems to be in it for the money
