I really have anything bad to say about this company and its services. Like all in home health care services they are expensive but could be worse. My husband and I have both benefited from their care.

We really enjoyed Home Instead except for one girl she was always late to my sister's house which made my sister late for work on those two days. Yes we did say something about it and got her off the schedule for my Mom's care. But the rest of the girls that worked for Home Instead and for my Mom were compassionate and very caring about their jobs. We ended up asking for one of the girls whom we really liked to come 3 days a week and another girl that we liked came there the other 2 days a week.

We have chosen 2 days a week and although we've had several different people come with varying experience it has been a big help to us. We have had a few change of helpers that we weren't expecting but it usually worked out.

Had several different caregivers. Current one is competent and engaging. Interested in helping. Older and less capable than I was hoping for; all of them. Not very good with gaining compliance from a reluctant (to participate appropriately in their own care,) client.

Very nice agency to work with. Came at our time of need when we needed it. Was very professional and punctual. Would recommend them to anyone who were seeking a caregiver for their loved one. A Place for Mom is a lifesaver.

No issue with Senior Helpers of Redwood City. Satisfied with their services so far. They are on time and patient with my mom. The one change i wish they could make is sending the same caregiver every week as it is disruptive for us to retrain new caregivers every so often.

Amada has provided consistent good home care givers 9-5 seven days a week. Generally able to provide replacement care givers if current caregiver is not available on a given day Good at providing weekly care giver calendar and the care givers seem to respect and work well with employer Amada Senior Care

Flawless home care provided the exact care that my cousin needed. They listened to my cousin as to what she liked and didn’t like. In the end, when my cousin believed she was going to lose her job she becsme so concerned about the cost of home care she terminated their services.

For the most part, our experience was good. Always on time, pleasant with attention to following routines. Drove me to my doctor's appointments. Prepared our meals. Did light housekeeping. Overall very accommodating to our needs and expectations.

Home Matters has helped us with the care of my mom after she fell and is now bedridden. They were the only agency to be flexible in scheduling. The workers, so far, have done what is asked of them and are kind. I would recommend them.

We found Senior Helpers when searching for a bathing service that didn’t require a weekly minimum. The intake process and availability of services was good. While we were assured that a consistent care giver who was a good personality match with my mom giver would be provided, this wasn’t always the case. While Senior Helpers did accommodate requests to assign a preferred caregiver, that individual frequently didn’t come. The replacements had various levels of competency and engagement, which was disappointing and stressful. Understanding that this is a tough job and hiring quality individuals can be challenging, we made the best of it. We no longer use the service since my mom now receives bathing support as part of her extended home health service covered by insurance. However, I would likely reengage Senior Helpers should the need arise.

The company was very responsive very quickly and we were able to get people in place easily. I have a couple of minor concerns about the scheduling but will let that resolve as services become clearer over time. My mother in law likes her carer and that’s what counts.

So far we have been pleased with their services. A couple of billing issues have arisen and they were a little slow to make the adjustment I believe they work hard to fill spots when people are late, unable to come to work, etc and that is where they choose to prioritize time—and I appreciate that. But it was several months before adjustments were made, and several requests. BUT they were happy to make the changes. We were a little disappointed that as we needed more and more help, the caregiver became less consistent. And I also understand that, but I do feel that there should maybe be a system in place where all caregivers do transfers the same way, where all caregivers engage the client in talk that exercises their minds as well as their physical therapies. My father was confused each time he has a “new helper” and even though this is written as a complaint, we have been very happy with the response time and how easy they are to accommodate our requests. We appreciate the service.

I understand that the caregiver wants a steady job. However life is not always predictable . They always do as I ask and need to do. I wish there were more evidence of training of some of the caregivers. I realize the difficulty hiring people as caregivers. This is Always Best Care’s responsibility and for the most part I think they do a good job. I was told they had a couple of men but that they were already working with people but I’m hoping they are able to find more to help. [name removed] has always been around men in the workplace and in social situation and enjoyed it.

Always best care was a good company. I would recommend them. They were friendly and eager to help. They were good about returning phone calls. [name removed] was a pleasure to work with and so was [name removed]. [name removed] was really good with my MIL at her intake.

Every helper that has been sent to us has been willing to do whatever we have asked them to do that would help us. Their attitudes have been quite pleasant, and we've always been treated with kindness and respect.

I felt that the interview at my Mom’s apartment with Representative [name removed] was good and beneficial. My Mom seemed to be accommodating to the plans that were suggested for Home Help. Unfortunately, following the interview, it seems like my Mom clammed up and didn’t follow through to complete the application. Guess its not not so easy making lifestyle decisions for elder parents.

Overall I do like my experience promise solutions. The person assigned to me is always looking for ways to help me. However I already had a way for folding my clothes and pjs which helped everything fit. So if you could just encourage the providers to ask if we already have a way to do things that already works for us, so every thing will fit in its place. Plus I’m handicapped and sometimes things are put beyond my range.

Employees have been responsive to all communication thus far. Caregiver is well placed and works sensitively and patiently with my mom. Thus far we have not had any shift coverage issues and have expanded our needs to include weekends. The nurse has regularly scheduled check ins with us and mom. She seems thorough and caring when she visits.

We have been with Senior Helpers for about 5 months. When we first began we had 24 hr care for several days, we now are at just once a week with occasional extra days thrown in. They have been very reliable in providing care. They have almost always been able to provide a caretaker when needed. Very nice, and caring people. I highly recommend.
