I hired HomeWell to provide part time care after a shoulder replacement. They were willing to work with me on the change in the number of hours needed as time went on, and provided professional caring support as my recovery progressed.

[names removed] were amazing. Some of the other staff seemed to be more inexperienced.

This agency has strived to meet our specific needs. My mom is pretty self sufficient but needed to get out and socialize. She would just stay in her room all day and we both work from home so although she was not alone, she was not doing anything stimulating. We hired the service to take her to the senior center a few days a week and it has really helped her. Now she looks forward to seeing the friends she has made there. Overall the service has been great even though we only require limited help.

Not what I signed up for. Caregiver quit on second day! Broke one of my Pyrex dishes. Big misunderstanding of what I expected of this agency. It was a learning experience for me. I did not want a replacement because I found an agency more tailored to my needs, more decluttering/less cleaning.

I turned to Home Helpers in July 2025 when my siblings and I realized our now 92-year-old mother needed a part-time in-home aide. I met with [Name Removed], the intake coordinator at that time, and ultimately [Name Removed] was identified as the person who now comes in three days a week for three hours a day. She’s proven to be just what we needed — someone who not only helps my Mom with domestic tasks and drives her to occasional appointments, but also someone my Mom enjoys interacting with. If there’s been one drawback, it was when we decided in [Date Removed] that my Mom also needed weekend help. I repeatedly called[Name Removed] work cell phone to discuss this and never got a reply. Eventually I contacted Home Helpers and learned she’d retired, but that the agency had never updated her voice mail message. I was also told the agency was short-staffed and couldn’t identify a weekend aide who would be consistently available. Consequently, we’ve had to find someone else through another agency.

This is a hard subject because it happens at long term facilities and now with Homestead. There is a lack of consistency of Helpers. I have an individual that was so very good but she has given her 2 weeks notice and she is so good. I had cnas that were so very good at the long term facility and they left. I am guessing pay and hours are the reason. It is just hard for patients to feel comfortable not knowing who is going to be helping you next.

1- not too bad overall. Business owned by married couple and there has been some inconsistencies in communication. Not terrible, but could improve. 2- very friendly. 3- depends on who was assigned. My MIL fired a helper after 1 day. Company replaced her quickly. 4- admin staff- I'm waiting to see if their invoices are accepted by long term care as they promised me they would be. I have concerns so I'll come back if there is an issue. 5- we pay the military rate, but client requires very little help. Easy $ for the company.

I only say that because it seemed like there was a bit more visiting that working. I would recommend to others

I would recommend others nothing to add except that the shift we were trying to fill was hard which might account for some turnover. There was a lot of turnover, in 8 months we had at least 7 But the caregivers were always polite and professional

Arcadia was a good choice for my parents. I’m out of state and the company did a good job of keeping me informed of changes to staffing. My parents are very particular and they were very pleased with the service.

The staff have shown that they really care and are concerned about my parents. When my dad passed in December they were affected by his passing. Also, very concerned about my stepmom, [Name removed] and her emotional and physical health after his passing. The cleanliness of the house is fantastic. It doesn't smell antiseptic. It smells Homie. They try to schedule activities both on site and offsite each month. They also try to include the family in those activities. My stepmom's only complaint would be the food, but she is pretty particular and did a lot of restaurant dining in their lifestyle. I really like the Homies set up. They have individual rooms plus then the open floor plan makes it homie instead of institutional. [Name removed] really cares about the residence and her staff.

Ebenezer health care provider was very professional. She was able to answer questions regarding services. The caregiver who visited with my mother was patient and was able to get my mother to participate in moving and answering questions.

Due to client preferences, had to change caregivers and process went smoothly. Client would like caregiver to wear name tags which is just a personal preference. Sometimes caregiver has to cancel which makes it confusing for client but does not happen often. Client has no problems with caregiver.

The experience with the Home Instead Company was excellent. They lead us through the maze of possibilities of care and provided us good insights as to how to care for our loved one. The help that they provided gave us good options on how to cope with his physical and mental condition.

We have a very seasoned home care worker. However when we have had others, they have not had the training (except one) necessary to step in and help easily. They have all been pleasant and willing to work. The home care worker we have spends time with my Dad and then does some basic house tidying for Dad that makes it easier for our family. She is very reliable and overall is great.

Good worker always on time clean well. Work quickly complete a lot in 2 hours. Very respectful and kind. Great job at keeping floors clean. Can the company provide gloves. If not I will continue buying them.

Generally, the experience has been very positive and beneficial to us. There were a few hiccups where punctuality and reliability were issues. However, management quickly remedied the situations. Whenever I've had to call the office for a scheduled change or to discuss an issue. They were always very courteous and understanding; making it easy to work with them. I'm really pleased with her current caregiver now.

Very good experience with Senior Helpers. A well-staffed agency that is responsive to the client’s needs. The first caregiver sent was not a good match but Sr Helpers listened to our feedback and sent a much better suited caregiver the second time.

The company is organized where they monitor their aides when they get to work and leave work. They also seem to have sufficient amount of aides to cover the regular aides when they are sick. Con: Yes they are expensive compared to many other home care agencies. But you get what you paid for.

My parents absolutely love the caregiver. She is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable about what my parents need. Management is good. Communication is fair: they have a portal that doesn’t really alert you to messages. But communication with caregiver is excellent!
