Their experience in the medical field and the owners quick responsiveness, their flexibility. They could improve upon doing indirect tasks to help during 'downtime'.

I would rate them as 4's, except for number 4. Communication. I would rank that as somewhere around 2.5. We liked their Willingness to perform just about anything asked of them. I'd like to see more consistency in care givers. We've had at least one new person every week. We had one care giver that we really liked and was here as requested and then two weeks ago we got a new care giver (literally his first day) and got told he would be that days shift always now and we no longer have the one we really liked. There was miscommunication from the beginning about billing, but that has been resolved. And on the first bill there was a $[removed] fee for starting the service which we were never told about. There have been several things that either have or have not occurred that we have been surprised as never discussed. But I understand the person that we interviewed with is no longer with the company. Like time and a half pay on holidays. That was never discussed so you can imagine my surprise when it showed up on our bill. I guess I'd like to know what holidays you recognize so that I can cancel service on those days or move to a different day.

I'd probably say a 4 across the board. I don't have a comparison point so I can't honestly give a 5. I actually referred a friend to the company, just a different area due to where their mom lives. Some of the things we like the most about their services is the fall detection device coming with service. The fact they're VA approved. And their responsiveness to my feedback.

They are good communicators. And listen to concerns and really try to find solutions. When there are concerns, they deal with them. They are flexible They take the client into consideration when placing caregivers. They care about the client!!!

It's a little high for the few things that was done the girls were great mom loved him. Mom thought they were there to visit not work I had to remind her that. Mom acts like she can do everything her self she can thanks for everything [name removed].

All of the caregivers have been kind, helpful and supportive. They are cheerful and patient with my stepmother.

Visiting Angels have been very attentive to our needs. Communication for changes are relayed in a timely manner.

The workers are mostly dedicated and friendly. Communication when they need to send a substitute is sort of last minute, which can be stressful. Overall we are satisfied.

They have done a good job. Initially we had a young woman, 21 yo, who did a great cleaning job but wasn’t connecting either my 75 yo wife. Today Mary reported, she was assigned floor vacuuming and scrubbing along with bathroom cleaning. A marvelous job! She also connected with my spouse on a level of understanding and excellent dialogue.

Good people, good communication. Flexible with their schedule with a 24 hour notice which is good for us. We are doing our best to keep parents at home but we too need a break so this helps tremendously. Price is reasonable for the flexibility and availability.

My caregiver was not reliable. Over 7 weeks of help on Mondays the caregiver was absent twice and injured twice so was unable to do some of the light housekeeping like vacuuming. In retrospect I should have requested an alternate caregiver after week 3, but I was hesitant. That’s on me. I was surprised that an alternate caregiver wasn’t automatically sent when the assigned one called in absent, which was my understanding when I signed up for service. I was left feeling that a substitute was unlikely at the time.

While there were a few staff members "attached" to their phone.. they were all carrying, patient and kind. I felt confident they would care properly for my mother.

The 4 hr block is enough to assist with home chores and socializing with my spouse. The 1st attendant was 20 years old and tried hard but it was difficult to socialize with my spouse who is 75 yo. Home Instead is assigning an older attendant who will relate much better with my spouse.

First off, I would like to say that the caregivers were absolutely, especially having to put up with my mom, who was not so nice to several of them. When I started looking for caregivers to come in, Right at Home - Decatur was the first agency I spoke to and since I was so overwhelmed at the time dealing with my mom and preparing for our trip that I just went with them. Everyone that I spoke with was kind and caring to me, which I needed. The initial intake was on 2/23, but when I didn't hear from anyone about after several weeks, I finally called them and asked what was going on. I did get an email giving access to the Family Room, but I felt it was useless as I could not do anything with it. Then, I had to call again just a week before we left as I didn't see anyone on the schedule. I also informed them about leaving a key for the caregivers to use instead of ringing the bell, but was never relayed to them which caused chaos with our dogs and my mom. Better communication is needed.

I am a new customer. Our first day of service the person called off and another person was called i arriving about half an hour late . The second day of service the person was to arrive at 9 am. I had a 930 appt. By 9:20 still no person. I called and canceled because I had to go. The third day a different person was assigned. She has proved very good. I asked that she be assigned to us in future and changed one of my days of service to accommodate her existing schedule. So I think the agency has done a good job. Everyone is having trouble with finding reliable employees now it seems.

Call was fine we decided not to move forward and instead enrolled the patient in a 3 day per week off site Parkinson’s program

Thay have been very helpful and reliable. The contact and response time is great. We had a care giver who was not doing great and they replaced her. All in all we are extremely pleased with the company.

Home Instead made the rushed transition easier from the rehabilitation. Her skin condition is better just need.

We have hired Cardinal Senior Care on three occasions, twice when we were away and needed someone to be with my mother for a few hours each day. The first time, she had a variety of attendants, which confused her a bit, but they were all good and kind people. The second time, she had one person only and she loved her dearly. The third time we hired Cardinal due to my mother's broken hip and recovery. The helper came for four hours each day (so I could do errands) and helped my mother with her exercises. This also worked very well. The reasons I've occasionally given them 4 stars instead of 5 was that communication was not always as prompt as it might have been when the caregiver was delayed. Also, if it has been over a year since you last hired them, you will have to fill out a new form. Lastly, their cost is reasonable, but I wish the caregiver received a higher percentage of it. We are very grateful to Cardinal for all their help and recommend them to anyone needing help.

I needed some time for myself as the dole provider for my wife who has advanced Alzheimer’s. So every Wednesday I have someone come to our house to keep my wife company and not panic because I’m not there as I play in a golf league and am home for 4 hours. The first two people they sent were okay but the person they sent for the past 4 weeks has been perfect. Young and intelligent and willing to listen to her stories.
