Great service. Very happy with Right At Home. Flexible with hours and top notch care.

They've done a great job working with my Mom, and she's shown a lot of improvement, we're down from needing around 30 hours of help a week to about 6. Due to the scheduling I haven't met many of the caregivers myself, but Mom has found a few she enjoys working with. They're always on time, and we've never had any issues with no-shows!

We had an inconsistant caregivers, not the same person all the time. They always had someone there for us though. Just keep in mind that the family that is getting the service needs to be flexible with the people who are coming in, if it is someone new you will need to show them your routine. Lindsay was excellent, she got back to me when I was calling and looking, and she gave me a lot of information. She was so helpful, she was able to set things up quickly to accommodate him. She was just really excellent. She was very nice and very cooperative. Cleanliness and activities did not pertain to this.

My helper is a WONDERFUL young lady and very sweet. Mom loves her and so do I. I feel less stress now my helper is taking care of mom while I am at work and helps with some chores around the house while mom is napping. I am so glad I inquired into help and found Senior Helpers. Don't hesitate to contact them. It made all the difference in helping take care of my mom. I don't think I could do it without their help.

So far I'm very happy with the service. The woman who comes in to help my Mom is great, and we've seen a lot of improvement. The aide really engages with her, pushes her to talk, takes her on errands, etc. Mom has been a lot more social, even with family, after working with her. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that Mom is being kept safe and active.

From my point of view Home Instead did everything that they could for my mom that I expected. My mom, bless her heart, she doesn't want to admit that she needs help. She was a little bit disappointed because she asked the gal to make her some casseroles because she feels like she's not eating right. Two weeks later, she said all the gal wants to do is take me to the store and buy easy things to make. I don't know what the problems is, if my mom is not being helpful because she can be like that. I won't know until i see her again. I reminded her that Home Instead said if one person doesn't work out, let them know and they will send another caregiver.

Very accommodating and helpful. There were many caregivers involved in our journey. If we preferred certain people they tried to accommodate us. This was first time needing anyone and they did a good job.

We’ve had great experience with this organization. The only reason I gave them a four star, initially there was some confusion with management about or needs, but we ironed it out within a couple of weeks.

Hired Seniors Helping Seniors once a week to four weeks two hours a day. It was very minimal. But it was all my mother would agree to try - I was introduced to the service after my mother had a panic attack at the hospital and they reached out to me after the incident- i thought that trying to have people come into my mother’s house after her husband passed a year and a half ago would be a good way to enable her to stay in her own home, which is what she wants to do/ she didn’t understand the concept of having to pay for companion care and let them go. Great service and great people who genuinely wanted to help. I would recommend the highly and may be able to tap them again at a later date.

Great communication and experience. Staff very friendly and work with you. Staff is also reliable and always provide coverage if someone calls out sick.

[name removed], the home care lady for my mom has been wonderful! Although she was originally hired to make sure my mom did not wander off, as she has dementia, she has really become a great friend to her and vice-versa. I'm glad they found each other!

Initially there were some rough spots but so far it has been a good experience. The first few weeks there were different people coming, but it has now become more regular. I did experience some scheduling issues but they were very cooperative in working through those issues.

One caregiver just up and quit, the second one was perfect! Just couldn’t afford it anymore. Am having to move Mom in with us.

Dependable and Kind. Easy to get service right away. Flexible. We will continue using the service for a long time hopefully.

We have been happy with things. Especially helpful with her getting our loved one to appointments, etc. Which frees all of us up. And getting her groceries.

My experience with Home Instead has been mostly excellent, except for a couple little things. All of our care givers have been experienced except one. They sent one that was inexperienced and I basically had to teach her things from my hospital bed (my husband and I both are on Hospice too). However I will say she has learned really quick and is adjusting to our needs really well now. She is really sweet and is quick to learn. We also had one girl who was always late, pretty much every day. She was late anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour most of the time. She has since quit the company. She lived about 30-40 minutes away, so that supposedly was the reason. I heard that she got a job closer to her home. We really liked the lady, though, so we were sorry to see her go. So, this is why I gave a rating of 4.

The initial visit was wonderful. Getting all the information gathered to get a right fit for my mother’s needs. Day 1, disaster. They sent a person that knew nothing of how to take care of my mother. All she knew was house keeping. Not at all happy with this. Day 2: wonderful person that knew her stuff was extremely happy with her. Unfortunately we were not able to continue care because on day 2 my mom had another stroke.

The first time I had someone come to be with my husband (he has dementia), the caregiver had to leave early because of a sick daughter. This is totally understandable, I was just disappointed because I was looking for a few hours to myself. My husband likes to tell everyone his “stories”, but said she didn’t seem interested. Not sure if that was true or not, but I requested someone else next time. The second caregiver was a breath of fresh air! She had a cheerful and caring attitude and my husband liked her a lot. I told her I’d like to have her next time and she said she would arrange it. Yay!

[name removed] was ready to talk with and has vast homecare experience. She was responsive to questions and easily reached by phone for questions. The young man she found for my husband's companion was pleasant. His role was to kerp an eye on sid and if anything intoward happened he was to call me. This was a very low tech job as My husband at 92 can do all his own ADL'S, likes to fix his own breakfast & lunch. He likes to work out in a gym or go for walk using a rolator. His mobility is not good. Hence the compainion to make sure he is safe. He has dementia, poor hearing and balance. We have had the compsnion about 6 wks 6 hours 2days a week. The companion was not always punctual. I think he needs more training. Fortunately, my husband did not require much.

Very reliable and aids that come to house are wonderful. One issue is had was 1 time out of all the times I've had them there was a call off that couldn't be filled and I was stuck without anyone available to stay with my mom. Other than that it's been an absolutely wonderful experience.
