Brookdale

We placed my in-laws both with dementia at Brookdale Kerrville a few months ago. They have adjusted well with their two dogs. The staff is friendly. Facility is clean. They do daily activities. It is not a big facility. Sometimes I think they need more staff but overall we are pleased with the facility they seem to care about their residents.

This place was not bad. The 1 bedroom units were laid out well and they are doing renovations on them. The building is older, but not run down. Big dining room, section of town not bad. A little pricey, but not out of the running. One hallway smelled a little of urine, perhaps temporary. Only 2 small elevators, could be a concern with mobility.

If the independent living quarters of this facility were a bit more secure, this place would be perfect! Location is great, and the grounds are beautiful.

We moved our mother to Longmont earlier this year. From the very first day, she liked the facilities and the staff. Everyone we interacted with were very caring and receptive to our needs and helped to make her move very comfortable. She had a few problems the first days there and the staff responded and helped her immediately. Everyone has made an effort to make sure that her needs are being met. Though my brother lives close, I live several states away. it is difficult to know exactly how she is doing on a regular basis. However, each time we talk, she seems very happy there and enjoying her stay more everyday as she becomes more familiar with her new surroundings. We are fortunate to have found the Brookdale Longmont facility for our mother.

My mom was a resident at Brookdale Asheville Walden Ridge after transferring up from a facility in Charlotte. The staff is phenomenal... very kind to the residents and hands on. I never heard an unkind word spoken to anyone. They redirected those that were frustrated or confused. My mom passed away last month and everyone was wonderful to her and me especially during her final days. I could not have asked for a more compassionate group. At times I felt Walden Ridge was short on staff and her room could have been cleaner, but the loving care my mom received was the most important thing to me.

Family member has been living at Brookdale since [date removed]. Disease is progressing, which is to be expected, but we feel he is in a safe place. Other residents and staff are very friendly and warm. Feel that family member is being looked after adequately and medical needs are being met.

The staff at Brookdale North Loveland are friendly and helpful. The facility is very nice and has a comfortable feel. They provide many different kinds of activities for the residents and their families. The food is pretty good too. A great facility overall.

This is a very reasonably priced facility. The one bedroom apartment that my mom has includes a kitchenette, balcony, great size bedroom with walk-in closet. Her balcony has room for two chairs. I’m very happy with this location. My only suggestion would be to try to get the residents more involved with Activities even if they show no interest. I do recommend Uptown Whittier!

Brookdale Brighton MI is a super place for senior living. The meals are good tasting. The staff is incredibly friendly. They have a never say no attitude to most reasonable requests. Recently there has been an issue regarding meal time delays resulting from a corporate decision to reduce wait staff. That is the only downfall I can say about Brookdale Brighton.

Brook dale DeLand is a caring facility who has our complete confidence in the care of my MIL. They are small enough to pay attention to individual residents needs and large enough to have socialization for residents. The residents stay busy...my MIL is way more engaged and active than she was when she lived at home. The management team is genuinely caring and responsive as are many of the attendants.

I am fairly satisfied with Brookdale. one problem is the laundry. Everything I wear on the outside has to be ironed. I have done very little ironing at home for several years. Food is satisfactory. Cleanliness is great. I don't require much help with daily living.

Overall experience has been very positive. The staff seems to genuinely care about the residents.

I assisted this client and finding assisted-living. She is 88-legally blind-and requires a walker or wheelchair. This facility checked all the boxes. Although the west some adjustment And Process issues to begin with-The value for this size room she has - the accommodations to her handicaps-the staff-her inclusion in activities-have all made her moving there the best thing she’s ever done. And the food is absolutely fabulous! I would highly recommend this facility to anybody in the area.

My Mom moved into Brookdale at Brushy Creek and was sad to give up her home for 50 years. The people at Brookdale made her feel welcome and she became very comfortable in her new residence. Which brought me great relief knowing she was being given good compassionate care.

Overall it was a pretty nice place. The food was decent, the staff was friendly, and it was kept clean. The care was ok. What I didn't like is that I had to shave my dad, comb his hair and ask someone to help him with brushing his teeth. There were activities like sing alongs, tossing a ball, and making various crafts. Once a month there was an outing. My dad had only spent 2 months there as he passed away at the end of this June so I don't have a long term assessment.

Overall a very good facility. No place is perfect but many of their employees especially [Name removed] RN , Carla go the extra mile. The aides [Name removed], [Name removed], [Name removed] were a few that made my Mom happy there. Staffing seems to be a problem on off hours. Dementia care is very challenging.

We moved my mother in to Brookdale in July to be closer to family. They said they would assign an ambassador to show her around but no one ever did. She only left her room to eat. On that note she was very happy with the service and the food. A huge upgrade from her previous facility. There were a few mishaps with her medicine, forgotten doses. She became acutely I'll and my sister took her to the hospital. No one called us to check on her. She was there 8 days. We did have a visit from the new head nurse. He was very nice but this came after my sister called Brookdale to see if they cared how she was doing. She passed away suddenly and we have not heard one word from them. They knew she wasn't coming back because my sisters moved all of her stuff out. They sang a good song to get us is to move her there but once they got their money things changed. We were told that there was a special ending that day and we had to take financial ownership that day. We ended up paying for 1.5 months that she was not living there and still had to pay at the other facility. We had high hopes for this place and we're very disappointed.

Well maintained, clean and nice. Good Amenities and features. A keeper.

There are many things to recommend here. They have been updating the building and grounds. However, they have been limiting some of the services, charging additional fees, the food is getting worse with less options, and the rent has been raised every single year! It does still include basic cable, meals, transportation to doctor appointments and shopping, and a community that she enjoys living in. And, she can get assistance if needed. However, my mom has lived here for almost 9 years, and the rent has increased 3% EVERY YEAR. I don't know how much longer we'll be able to keep her there. Hence, why I'm looking at this site...
