I had hopes when putting her in Brookdale I would be able to come help out since I live so close. There was no visiting inside due to covid and she was starting to forget who we were. She ended up testing positive and called and asked if I could come get her so I got her and ended up keeping her at home. The staff member here were very nice, but it was hard just due to the virus and I think it would have worked out if that wasn't going on.

The staff have been very good with communication since we are not able to go inside the facility. It has been hard because of everything that has gone on this year but I would recommend them to others looking.

The only issue we have had is that some of their Covid guidelines were not always followed. This has changed and they are doing much better now. I would absolutely recommend this community to others. the community is small and all on one floor so there are no elevators or stairs.

Beyond the base they charge to many extra fees like just for passing along the medication. The staff needs to be more on the same when they are taking care of their clients. They have suggested to our loved one that she can start giving herself her own medication, but she has been a drug abuser.
