Brookdale

My mom has been here over 20 months and we are so happy with everything. Our mom is always smiling and happy with all the aids and nurses who attend to her. We are ver fortunate she enjoys her new home.

Overall we are happy with the Brookdale Middleton Stonefield community. Based on the experience we have had so far with the community, we would recommend them to other families who have an elderly loved one in need of memory level care.

Lots of little surprises in the expense that they don't tell you upfront. And these extra expenses aren't optional. Also, it keeps driving me nuts but the stairs are so dang dusty and filthy. Drives me bonkers. Good activities but my dad doesn't participate, but they're there for other people, and the food is average for a facility. I wouldn't rate it is great, but he likes it and he eats it. It seems some of the foods really aren't set up for elderly people a lot of things that are tough to choose stuff like that.

I think the staff are exceptionally kind. However, the move in process, with all of the introductions and orientations, etc. is very unreliable and communication is poor around that. I really had to stir things up for quite a while before it became clear to everyone that my father had never gotten a tour, or an introduction aside from what I gave him. It leaves one with the feeling that it is easy to disappear there despite all the talk.

The people who work here seem to be very caring for the residents. When the time comes for my father, this will be his new home. Comparing to other places, this is a good value and we like the location.

My husband had dementia and Brookdale had the secure memory care unit. They were very helpful with helping me complete all paperwork and very knowledgeable of his condition.

Our family had an in person tour with Brookdale Southside and the community as well as the tour experience was good, even though we did not pick it for our loved one it seemed to be a newer community and have good amenities across the board

So far the family really likes and approves of Brookdale. Great choice. Mom is settling in nicely. It fit her style and personality. We were trying to get it as close to home feeling as possible. Friendly, thorough and focused on community members and their families.

Our family had an in person tour with Brookdale Georgetown and it was a good tour experience but it was a little too old and run down for our liking

I would recommend it. We picked this community because it was close to our home & Mom liked it best out of the ones we toured. Always feel welcomed when we visit and mom has nothing but good things to say when we visit.

Mom chose this place before even seeing any others, even though we were scheduled to have more visits. She had a connection with folks here who also go the the Elmwood Community Center where she used to Volunteer.

My sister, the resident, says meals are awful! She hasn't participated in activities yet. Cost is higher than expected. Was not given a complete breakdown of all costs

My mom has been disappointed in the food. Too bland, not organic and too much chicken As for activities, sadly the turnover has impacted the activities as well as mechanical and other issues with the van. This has been a real ongoing challenge

I would definitely recommend Brookdale Chandler Ray Road to others. The staff is very friendly and have a special heart in caring for seniors. The Activities Director is amazing. She is very inclusive and encourages my Mom to participate. We had a challenge with the initial set up of payment for direct withdrawal, but we were able to get it resolved. The food lacks fresh vegetables. The family events have been wonderful and we enjoy being able to bring the grandkids and great grandkids to Grandma's house.

I would highly recommend Brookdale for aging residents. Family atmosphere! I am happy with Brookdale. They are friendly and try to engage the residents. Nice environment.

I want to brag on [name removed] the maintenance man and [name removed] the caregiver. [name removed] is so knowledgeable and helpful, he helps anytime we need anything. [name removed] works so hard, helpful, checks on us, does anything we ask, always makes sure we're okay. They are great.

Everyone was very welcoming and helpful.

We toured Brookdale Pearland during our search for an Assisted Living facility for my mother. We loved this facility! Our tour was incredible, as was the staff. They had beautiful, large apartments. It was a nice facility. However, there was no availability.

I picked Brookdale over the other communities because of the overall experience I had with the two visits. There wasn't just one or two things. I would tell a friend about, all the experiences I've had - good and bad.

We picked this community, for our loved one because of the cost. They have responsive staff, who cares about the residents.
