What we like the most about the community is the caring staff for both of my in-laws. Three good meals / day. Variety of activities inside and /or outside the building. On-site medical care via Bloom Healthcare. Yes, we would recommend Brookdale Meridian Englewood

Overall its good but we can improve food quality and improve recipes love my apt and the view of the lake.

This facility was impressive like a first-class hotel. Great lobby, sizable rooms and desirable location. Drawback for me was it was overall too large for the type of experience which would be comfortable for my parents.

The staff are all warm and friendly and loving and kind . My mom loves the food. That's the one thing she always says about this place. The room is large. We have a private room.

It seems very good. The only thing my mom sometimes mentions is that the food could be better. However some days she really enjoys it. Sometimes it takes a while to respond to a button push. Everyone on staff seems very kind. Medicine is dispensed timely. She is clean. The room is nice. The facility is clean and doesn't smell. She shares a thermostat with a few other rooms so she can't always get the room temperature she would prefer. She needs to go to more activities but she's also very tired so I'm not sure how to rate the activities as she has not done many. Overall working out well I think.

Staff very responsive to resident needs, activities plentiful, apartment size very good and dining experience much improved in last six months. My wife and I have been at Brookdale for approx 5 months and we enjoy the staff and the responsiveness to our individual needs. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for assisted living.

Only my mother has moved in as my father is in the hospital. She has only been there 10 days and has declined to leave the room. Everyone there has been helpful, and they have tried to make the move as comfortable as possible for my mom. I would rate the people at a 4 or 5. I don't have a basis for rating any activities as my mother has declined to participate. She indicated that the food is good, but she has not eaten much in her time there.

The staff are very attentive to the residents. The room size and amenities offered are adequate.

It's warm. The size of the apartment is perfect, studio sized. Appreciate that it's a walk in shower. I would recommend this community to others.

Compared to other facilities, Brookdale had a broader offering of activities for the residents, including offsite activities and events. I felt the social scene would be much better for my mom. They put a lot of pressure on me to quickly sign the 35 page contract in order to get the current month promotion. I took my time analyzing the contract to which I found a couple mistakes and several red flags which I felt the need to bring to their attention and get further clarification.

I visited a friend staying here. The place looked WONDERFUL all decorated for Christmas and everyone seemed so welcoming and happy. The only thing I noticed was the food didn’t look super appealing and they were joking about how bad it was. Hard to please everyone, but I didn’t feel like eating there to find out. The dining rooms are smaller very homey but with stains and dirt on the wall and floors so it’s hard to find that appealing while eating. Hopefully it was a one time thing but it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. My friend said that she loves it there though and has many friends and is always doing fun parties. Seems like the people there make it worth the other disadvantages.

We looked at several places. The others were independent to assisted. We really liked the apartment and the overall amenities. In the end it was the nicest apartment, my mom, who has Parkinson's did not like the thought of having to move again (between the independent and assisted units at another place), and at the “assisted” level prices were comparable. Staff we met and residents were very nice.

Everyone was great. The biggest thing we found a problem with is differences in documentation. Someone would tell us one thing, a brochure would say another, and then the actual document that was signed would say something entirely different. Overall, the experience was good.

I wish they would treat the caregivers better and with more respect. I really appreciate the kindness of the caregivers. I enjoy the Bible study activities and having the Webb Chapel Church of Christ provide a Sunday Christian service after lunch.

Since [name removed] has become the director of the facility it is much easier to communicate with them. The staff is friendly and I don't envy their job at all. It is a different job. I honestly don't know of anything they could do differently

What we like the most about the community is that they took very good care of our loved one up until the very end. Yes we would recommend Brookdale Pearland to other families based on the experience.

The quality of care is a bit suspect when it comes to medication being giving. I believe over medicating is being applied in certain situations. The food lacks flavor and not near enough activities are being conducted.

They tried very hard to meet all of Ed's needs in the last month of his life. This is not the norm for a memory care unit. They were very responsive to any issue I had.

Good: They have a lot of activities and keep my aunt involved - even if she isn't sure about it. They make sure she isn't sitting in her room all day. The place is very clean. And the food is good. Improve: They are not always responsive. Both to my aunt and also when I call. It is very difficult to get ahold of someone. I usually get voicemail and don't get a call back. The initial billing process was a nightmare. It's been 4 months and it is still not right. We were being incorrectly billed and it still isn't straightened out. I would say I would recommend. My loved ones are well taken care of and enjoy living there. You do have to stay on top of the staff and that can be a bit difficult. They just increased their cost by 8%. That is a huge jump and makes them more expensive than other places we looked at
