Brookdale

My uncle had a good respite stay experience here at this community. I was comfortable with his stay here, everything went very well. The staff was great, they were very attentive, and concerned. They encouraged him to get involved in some of the activities they have available. The meals were nice, and well balanced. I would use this community for their respite stay service again. I was satisfied with all they did for us, and I would recommend this community.

The food is good and they have a restaurant where you can choose your meals from a menu. The staff are nice and check on mom. We have good communication with them and they give her extra care when needed. They help with her medication. The community is well taken care of. We feel comfortable with her being there.

This community was marvelous. The people I meet were friendly. The community was clean and well maintained. I would have liked to live here, however the cost was a little to high.

My mother-in-law is doing very, she is thriving and making some friends. She is eating very good and we have eaten there so we know. She is participating in a few activities. They have community meeting to hear the residents. The hairdresser did a nice job she was pleased with her experience. The staff straightened out her medication and monitor it. She is moving around more. It felt like I was walking into a hotel lobby. The residents are funny and feisty, very friendly. I would recommend them.

The Brookdale Admiral Heights was a beautiful community. Everyone was very nice and all of the residents seemed very happy. The location was perfect, there was a movie theater across the road and stores. The food looked great. The reason we ended up choosing another community was because the apartments were so small, smaller than a college kid's dorm.

I have been very pleased with the staff at this community. They have been very motivating on helping my loved one become content and motivated to get involved in the different activities they offer there memory care residents. I like that it is a small facility and a lower resident count so they can have more one on one time with the staff if need be. So far I have no complaints and would recommend this place to anyone

We had to find a great respite care facility for my Mom about 4 years ago due to a fractured hip and wrist. We looked at many facilities and eventually came to Brookdale located nearby. As soon as we walked in the front door we knew that this was the place we wanted my Mom & Dad to live. The apartments were great and reminded us of home. The dining room was inviting and the food was great. The staff is very friendly, comforting and dedicated.The business staff very professional and helpful. The facility is well maintained, the activities were fun and they always had great entertainment for the residents. They took exceptional care of my Mom & Dad and I would highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for care for their parent or parents. Great job Brookdale!!

The staff and the community as a whole had a positive feel. Mom likes the food and the dining. Mom is even getting involved with some of the activities. Mom likes that she has a big apartment and that it has a full kitchen. This has been just a wonderful thing for mom.

I had to move my mother here recently. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. I ate lunch there one day with mom and the food was very good and it was nice to have a selection of main dishes instead of just one. The building seems to be cheerful, clean, and all staff have been great. Mom's room is small, but very cozy and we did our best to bring many of her favorite things so that she could feel at home. She has her privacy with one bedroom and can choose to leave and be social if she chooses. There are many activities each day to choose from for the people. Mom loves to go on the trips on the facility bus as she just lost her driver's license and loves to get out and ride. Her room is handicap friendly for her walker along with the other areas of the buildings. A great location to walk to nearby shops. I would recommend Brookdale to others.

I am hoping my mom will adjust to the new environment in the community. They have activities and gathering rooms for them to watch T.V. and socialize with one another. She shares a room with another woman and she likes her. My mom gets to eat very good meals daily. The staff are very nice to her and mom's many visitors.

I have no complaints about the care that my brother has been receiving at this community. He has had no complaints about the food and has really enjoyed a few of the activities they have to offer throughout the day. He has only been there a short time now but so far everything is going well and I am pleased with the care that is being provided to him.

A very welcoming and helpful staff even the residents! Homely comfortable environment.

I choose this place for my father and I am very happy so far. It has only been a week, but he looks great and every staff member knows him. My dad has not participated in the social stuff, but the staff and other residents reassure me to give him time. The other residents I speak with are very happy and tell me about their own adjustment periods. I also loved that when we were in the dining room the woman who was serving dinner even remembered what he drank at lunch, which made me feel he is very taken care of by everyone. The nurses are also very available to family members. The place is very pretty and the residents are treated as adults not like patients or invalids, they are given as much freedom and independence as they want. My dad also got to bring his cat which was awesome and made him very happy. My dad uses a walker and has the early stages of memory problems, he is 85.

This is a nice community, and my parents are doing well since their move here. I like the staff, they are caring for them well, and they are very patient. They seem to enjoy the meals severed. I have not heard any complaints about the food from them. I'am comfortable with the care they are receiving at this community. It is a very nice place, and I would recommend it.

With all the issues and concern noted when trying to find care for a loved one, Brookdale/Staunton was very helpful with providing information and support. Their help with coordinating the transfer/paperwork/actions with the state hospital during our mother's transfer made the stressful activity more bearable and gave us peace of mind when she was finally transferred to Brookdale.

So far, things are going well with the community but the move was definitely a rocky road. My mother has been in the Brookdale for well over a month now. The place is doing a good job if taking care of her.

My mother-in-law has not yet entered Brookdale but has signed a lease and we were very impressed and happy with the personable, warm and caring people we encountered on our tour. The move in team were on point and accommodating. So far we are so pleased! My mother-in-law really liked the many great activities offered.

The staff at this community are wonderful, kind and I never saw anything negative. I have tried the food and it always looks good and it is tasty. The community is clean and they offer daily activities. I would recommend this community.

This community looked nice and clean. The person that conducted our tour was nice and professional. This community was just a little more expensive than the community we chose.

It was ruff adjustment at first for my father with his move to this community. He is doing well for the most part, and I'am satisfied with his move too this community. I know he is safe and being cared for well here. They have a good, positive staff, and they have been very friendly and supportive. There are activities available for the residents. He is eating the meals they offer. So I guess the food is good. His move to this community has provided me with a peace of mind. It is a nice place, and I would recommend it.
