Wonderful, safe place!

I think it's a really nice place. She is happy there and we are happy with her there. The food could be improved, sometimes it's adequate, it's okay. We liked the size of the rooms, they were nice and roomy. The staff is excellent, here. The cost may go up, but they are still a good place. They are pretty good about attending to her needs, she needs finger foods, and they find a way with whatever they are eating to make it a finger food.

They are doing a good job. It's very clean, and the staff is very friendly. We are pleased with the activities they have there, music time, and exercise time. We see a lot of improvement. You can tell the look on her face when you see her listening to the music, you can see her mind working. The food could be a little better. We liked how friendly and helpful everyone was when we toured. and when we moved in they were very helpful and answered all of our questions.

When finding a place for our mom, she is very picky and we have tried to do what she wanted. The problem was, she was very picky, never satisfied and nothing was ever good enough. We have been to about 4 other places and she always found problems with all of them. That's not to say, there weren't problems in all of them but we were not happy with the others. Since coming to Emeritus, at the Broadmoor, our mom has found a much better experience and even though she still complains about everything, she seems to be much happier here than any other place she's been. Still days are a challenge and the staff communicates with us anythime there is a problem, but over all, we have been very pleased with the staff, the care, and the other care services she receives. And for the people who have to put up with her, are saints!!! And for that I THANK YOU!!!

I wouldn't say it's so much expensive when it comes to the rent, but the pricing is A La Carte for care, and that can add up. They have a good response when it comes to concerns or requests. She hasn't been real happy with the food, but they just got a new chef so we'll see how he does. When we toured, the activities director was very thorough about everything, and really spent a lot of time with us, showing us around and answering my questions. She is happier here than she has been any other place. The size is good, it's not too big and not too small, it's just right.

From the first visit that my husband and I did before informing the family of the home we were very pleased and happy with the place. We felt that this was the proper home for our mother and she would get the care she needed and now its been almost 2 months and she had no problem adjusting and the staff is wonderful, and very patient and loving to everyone there. They have many activities to keep them busy throughout the day and I hear from my mom the food is GREAT. Overall i would recommend this home for anyone looking for a place if you need one for memory care its wonderful.

The review below in relations to old Nurses Manny and Jessica are laughable at best. The care my Mother is provided by staff and the new Nurses at KP has renewed my faith in humanity. My Mom has been a resident for 5 years and we have seen many changes and can honestly say Ken and Carmen are AMAZING! The Community Relations director is very proffessional and loves the residents and always has a smile on her face. The food is great and my Mom really loves Nicole the activity Dir. I am willing to bet the negative review before was written from a disgruntled emplyee and that is a shame.

Parents liked the location, and apartments. Sharon was very friendly and helpful. My parents liked the Meadows enough to consider putting a deposit to hold an apartment. But since then changed their minds.

They seem to do a very good job. The community is clean, and the staff is friendly. Sometimes the food isn't up to her standard. I think it could be done better. When she has made suggestions, they have taken them and improved the food. She is very happy there, she says she feels safe there.

It's pretty clean, I think the rug in the apartment could be a little cleaner. The staff is definitely friendly. They respond pretty good to requests, and concerns, but maintenance could be a little better and done a little sooner, it may be because they are a little understaffed. The activities director is a real sweetheart, and they have a wide variety of activities too. I've eaten several times there, and my parents rave about it, the food would be a five. They did mix the laundry up one time. There has also been a little mix up with the billing, and they took care of it right away. We chose them because they were so responsive to us when we had a last minute emergency situation, they were pretty efficient. We have just been really happy with them and the caregivers are really exceptional they are always perky and happy, I don't ever see a scowl on their faces.

The location was too far away from us, which is one of the reasons we didn’t select this community. It was also a bit out of our price range.. The food would be a five though. The general appearance would be a five.

Since my father moved in here, we have been very impressed with this community. The value of the community is great: the prices are very fair for what we are getting out of them. Any issues we have had have been taken care of right away by the staff, who are very helpful. There is a variety of activities with great schedules for the residents. The food is great, accommodating to different dietary needs, and my father always cleans his plate! Overall, we have been very pleased with what Sterling House has offered us.

I was very impressed with Emeritus. My brother only lived there for a short time before he moved, but everything was great while he was there. The staff was very attentive and friendly. From 600 miles away, I was able to get him into Emeritus in a matter of two days with the assistance of the staff. This was a great comfort to me and took a lot of weight off of my shoulders. They provide a variety of great activities to keep residents engaged: parties, church services, readings, etc. The only issues I had personally with it were the cost and the distance -- I could not afford to pay so much for my brother to be so far away from me. If it had been closer, it would have truly been perfect!

The staff is absolutely a five. They are responsive, but you really have to ask for what you need. The food is awesome! The food is the best part. The chef is well known in our community. I was delighted to find he was here.

I've heard nothing but good things from my loved one! She often mentions how friendly everyone is, how much she likes the facility itself, and how helpful and caring the staff are. She's also mentioned how consistently good the food is!

We have been very impressed with the care and compassion of all the personnel at Statesville Manor. My mom always tells us they are so good to her. All she has to do is ask and someone tries to help her with whatever she needs. The food and service is excellent. We have been very impressed with the cleanliness. The residents are also very content and talk about how much they like where they are living.

I'm very happy with them. They are very clean, and the staff is very friendly. There isn't really anything that I would like to see improved. They now have a monthly meeting with the caregivers which is good. I liked that there is a lot of freedom for him to wander and move around, and they have a beautiful yard they can go out in, and they have birds in a cage and an ice cream parlor. It's a nice environment.

They are a very clean community. The staff is very caring and friendly. The activities could be a little bit better than they are. There has always been enough parking. They’re a good value for the money. We were satisfied with the care services offered.

I had a chance to take a look at this community too. It’s very clean and pretty. The staff is very friendly. There is a piano in the dining room. They also have a patio for residents to sit on. I thought the activities should be a five as well.

My favorite place. Small enough to get around easily. Beautiful large rooms and full size kitchen. We would like to visit again to be sure.
