Brookdale

My personal experience at The Heritage Raleigh has been very rewarding for the past 6-1/2 years. Instead of narrowing my focus, it has expanded my horizon. Before coming here, I have never painted before. Now, thanks to the latent talent and a good teacher, I enjoy painting each week. I have expanded my repertoire of playing the piano to the point where I can entertain the residents. Moreover, thanks to a wonderful staff, I enjoy a peace of mind that I did not have before coming here and that is having a positive effect on my overall health. My family is very appreciative of the harmonious atmosphere created by the staff. For all these reasons I can highly recommend The Heritage Raleigh as an Independent Living Community.

It’s exactly what they said it was. Our loved one loves the activities and is very happy there. They worked hard with us to make the fit work. They did things like room availability and room pricing – they really worked hard to make it work.

Everything is fine. We’re very satisfied with Horizon Bay. The community is clean and well kept. The staff has always been friendly and helpful for us. It’s been a very good experience for us and our loved one.

I’d go there myself if I needed the services. They’re very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They’re a good value for the money. We’ve been happy with the care services. Emeritus has really good activities.

I'll start by saying that the care here is excellent. It's not the newest or most beautiful building, but the staff are extremely empathetic, professional, and caring. However, 95% of the population here has dementia or Alzheimer's to some degree, and my loved one is really feeling isolated socially. If you are looking into memory care this place would be an excellent choice, but it just isn't working out well in our case. They also seem to have a very high rate of staff turnover, even higher than is normal for these types of communities.

We love it, it's very nice. She loves it there. She is participating in activities. The staff is wonderful, they are very friendly and helpful. She seems to enjoy the food. It's been great!

We really liked this community, but we ultimately chose a different one for my mother-in-law because of a lack of availability and for a better location. I was very impressed with the available activities and the community atmosphere. There are groups of rooms with their own common rooms, and then one larger common room for everyone. There is a very nice, fancy feeling to everything. In the end, the other community was a better fit for us, but Emeritus was still a great place!

It's really a pretty good place. They have been really accommodating. The staff is really friendly, and it's kept so clean. She really likes the food, they are really good about accommodating for her diabetic diet.

My loved one was here for over 4 years before an increase in care needs unfortunately necessitated a move. It was an excellent facility, and I hated to have to move him. He really enjoyed it here. It's a great looking place, always clean and well kept, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely somewhere to look into if you're looking into senior living!

We’re pretty impressed with them. I’d give them a six out of five for friendliness of the staff. Everything has been really good so far. We are satisfied with the value they present for the cost of service. The activities are pretty good.

We used Wellington for a short respite stay. I was very very pleased with them, next to being at home it was the very best place for him to be. As a vegetarian, he was happy with the meals, though he does eat fish, I think if we used them again I would ask for low sodium. The only thing was something we had to work with, they had the bed space in the common area, but he needed memory care primarily, and that was a little difficult, but it was a compromise I made going in.

Everything at this community was good. Brookdale Place is a clean community. The staff was friendly. We were okay with the value they offered. The activities and the care services were enough to meet our needs.

We really liked this community when we toured. It was clean and bright. The staff was friendly. The community is clean and modern. The dining hall is inside, so residents don’t have to go outside to get to it.

They are very attentive and take care of my aunt they let me know if something is amiss. She has asked for help hanging pictures or things and they are right on it. She does exercises with the group, they giving her confidence, and she is making friends. They take trips out and things. When we first got there, she was saying that the portions were a little small, I told her she could ask for more, and there haven't been any complaints since then.

Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly, knowledgable, and caring. They got mom assessed and placed immediately so she could get out of the hospital. Mom has adjusted well. The facility is impeccably clean. Our only wish is that our Mom could stay through the end of her life here, but they are private pay only, so when her money runs out, which will be soon, she will have to go to another facility that accepts medicaid.

Beautiful place, booked a one-bedroom suite today! Mom is agreeable, so we're scheduled to have lunch there next Tuesday, measure the rooms, and move in by end of this month. Thank you SO much for finding Emeritus for us! Praise the Lord!!

Everything is working out well. They are clean, and the staff is friendly. They are good with communication, and getting in touch with me. The food is excellent and they have choices. We don't really have any complaints, or anything we would like to see done better.

This place was very clean and the staff is excellent. They were friendly and I can tell that they really care about their residents. They provide a high level of care and offered a fair amount of activities. I would consider placing my mother here if need be.

It is a second home. People are friendly. The food is good, not great. The laundry service is excellent. There is enough parking. It’s a wonderful place. I would go here if I needed to find support when I am aged.

Place is very clean, nicely painted and decorated, staff is extremely friendly. Community activities seem to be a priority.
