Brookdale

We are very happy with Broadway Plaza. It's very clean, and the staff is friendly. She is loving it, and the help that they provide with the assisted living is good, but we needed more. They have an agency in house to provide extra care, however we hired a private caregiver. I think they have enough entertainment, and activities, and the Saturday program is good. The food is good. The billing is the only thing that could be worked on, itemizing the bill would be helpful. Since we came from a sister community, we didn't have to pay a deposit, which was nice.

From my initial meeting with Dava, and the tour of the facility, I have been wonderfully impressed with Clare Bridge of Topeka. They provide a great facility, but I have been most impressed with the care, compassion, and professionalism of the staff. The move into the facility for my father was seamless, and he was able to see a local doctor for transition of his medical care within a few days of his arrival at Clare Bridge. I could not be more pleased. Thank you Clare Bridge and A Place for Mom (who helped me find Clare Bridge and set up the initial interview).

My mom has been living at the Carolina House since July 2013. I can not say enough about the personalized care she has had since she has been there. When she arrived, she was in trauma. My dad had just passed, she left her lovely home in Virginia and she had beginning stages of dementia. We started out at Carillon in Durham. It was a disaster and my mom began to decline quickly. Knowing that she was not receiving the individualized care she needed, we began looking around. Carolina House was the answer to our prayers. The intense support she had when she first arrived, the love and personal attention she felt from every single staff member, the activities, the meals and the connection we had with supervisors and nurses/therapists were just some of the highlights that I will mention. Little by little my mom began to adjust to her new life and now is thriving in the community. She has friends and family visits often. What is most significant about the Carolina House that I can say is that this is like home. When I visit, I don't feel like a stranger. I also just feel comfortable like I am visiting my mom at home. There are not a lot of airs and fancy outward appearances (with little substance behind them...beware of that). This is not about how someone "sells" you something. This place is just real good, everyday normal living where normal is extraordinarily comforting and loving. Also, just to say the med tech staff is very knowledgeable. Medication rounds run like clockwork at CH. At the other facility we were at, it seemed like it was a major complicated event every single time!! I was not even sure my mom was getting her correct meds there because honestly she was just a name on a card in a numbered room. That is not Carolina House for sure. We are thankful to all those at the CH!!!

We've had a very positive experience with Clare Bridge overall! It's a clean, well kept facility, and the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. They've gone above and beyond helping my Dad settle in to his new home! The chef they've got on site also does a great job with the food, Dad seems to like it and it has been good any time I've stayed for a meal.

It's been great! I don't have any concerns, and I would give them a top score.

They are doing wonderful I think. It's clean and the staff is friendly. It's one of the more expensive of the places but you get more for your money. The staff and their ability to help was what made us choose them. The nursing staff and the director, were really helpful. They seemed better prepared than some of the other places.

Tour went well. Facility may be able to accommodate mom's needs. Second floor smelled like urine. Possibly from a patient or nearby room. Was able to witness an activity to see how staff interacted with patients.

All the staff is very friendly and interacts with the residents really well. When Mom was placed, she was leaving rehab after suffering a stroke. She wasn't quite ready to come home and after 6 weeks she is up walking and doing things she hadn't done in months. Mom is a quiet person and not always participates in activities. Her goal was to not use the walker any longer and to come back home. We are hoping to have her home by mid-November. There was an incident that we were not told about immediately, but the Executive Director handled it very quickly and I was satisfied with the results. I would recommend Clare Bridge to all my friends.

My experience with Horizon Bay Chandler has been great. I'm satisfied with their overall services including the staff and the care they provide, the facility and its cleanliness, activities provided, food quality, etc. I'm pleased with Horizon Bay and I rate it a 5 out of 5.

My experience with Emeritus at Vista Oaks was good. The sales lady was very organized and very helpful. They did a very good job assisting and facilitating placement for an injured worker. A lot of TLC...

My loved one is doing pretty good, his disposition is improving. Clare Bridge does a pretty good job, and the residents all seem to be similar in care level. It's clean and the staff is friendly. It's a good place.

Overall we're very pleased with how things have gone with Emeritus at Grayson View, I'd give it top marks across the board. It's a clean, well kept, nice looking community, and the staff all seem very friendly. My loved one seems to enjoy the food, and what we got to try during the tour was good as well!

My experience with Emeritus at Corona has been great. The people there are very caring, patient, understanding, and loving. I'm satisfied with their care and services overall.

Fantastic place! She totally loves it, they seem to pay attention to everyone. I had some issues with a medication she was on and they were right on top it. They have plenty of entertainment. I like that she is actually getting exercise, and has to walk to the cafeteria. She seems to have made friends with someone right away. To see her sitting there and nodding her head and talking to friends at the table is so nice, I couldn't believe it. We liked the location, and the price was fair.

Chambrel was probably this best fit. Somewhat dated. Apt. that was available had lousy view from screen porch. Price was lowest so far, 98.6% full. Normal elderly roaming the property. One concern is that Mom would be able to leave the building easily and get lost. 35 acres.

The Emeritus at Canyonview is great! I have no complaints.I'm satisfied with the cleanliness of the facility, the care provided, the friendliness of the staff, just everything is great.

The staff is excellent and very good with my mother. We appreciate all the care and attention they give her. Excellent Memory Care Center.

I really liked it. small and intimate. Had rooms available. buy in is expensive! $4350. I need to check, i thought she told me there was a special til the end of the year.

My Mom really likes it so far! It's a very nice looking, well kept, clean facility. Mom says it is like a grand hotel! She also says everyone, both the staff and the other residents, have been very friendly and welcoming. It's a nice place, and definitely worth a look if you're looking into senior living in the area!

We moved my dad in last week. Staff was friendly, but they didn't seem prepared for him. The caregivers didn't understand his dietary needs or even his name, when he got there, but I think everything is sorted out now. The place was clean and everyone was cheerful. It is still early, but I think it will be a great place for him.
