I had a great experience with [name removed] during the tour and lunch. She asked a lot of questions about me and I also asked a lot of questions. I’m planning on going again with my brother in law to get his opinion. Thanks so much for everything you do.

Really a lovely, small residential site. My parents would be very comfortable living here. Was only able to see one apartment today. Unfortunately, it was only a one bedroom. Availability when my parents relocate will be the challenge. Lunch looking appearing with several options.

I have a loved one who lives at this assisted living. I know that this was the right choice because the associates who take care of them are compassionate and really pay attention to preferences. There was a family and a resident that told us how happy they were the first time we came here that helped us make our decision. The room is a good size and has a nice view, the outside is beautiful and there is opportunity for exercise in the shade. The program activities person has a lot of entertainment and they go out on special trips many times each month. My loved one doesn't need much care but I see some people here who do and they appear well groomed and happy. It smells pleasant and I haven't tried the food but it looks good and you can make requests if you don't like the menu items.

Terrific community set up with independent living, assisted living, and memory care options so loved ones can age in place while benefiting from all the services throughout their journey.

My mom was here for the last 9 months of her life. This place was wonderful! My mom loved it here. The staff is so friendly and caring. I just wish I would have found this place 4 years ago. My mom never had a bad thing to say about this place. The staff truly does care about each person there. I can't say enough good things about this place. All I can say is if you can get your loved one in here, you will not be sorry. It's the best!

A great place for an aging loved one. We lost our mom this July and up until then everyone at Brookdale Brighton was amazing. Everyone gave us much needed support even when Mom was there for a short 4 months. Have told many people that if they are looking for a place for their parent/s that we highly recommend Brookdale/Brighton.

The staff at this particular Brookdale Assisted Living facility from the Executive Director, Assisted Living Director, Director of Finance, Health and Wellness Director, Health and Wellness Coordinators, PT, OT and Brookdale Home Health Director, maintenance workers to housekeepers live and breathe the culture and mission of Brookdale Senior Living. I am so grateful for the staff's commitment to the quality of care my dad is receiving. Their willingness to communicate with me gives me great peace of mind. They have met and exceeded the goals set by the Experts at Brookdale Senior Living corporate office. My dad and I are grateful that he has found a home at Brookdale Overland Park assisted living facility. This past year my dad was in and out of the hospital with eight surgeries, in five different skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living community. March 2019 was our first experience with Brookdale Overland Park skilled nursing, where we discovered a level of care that we had not yet encountered. Only two months after returning to his assisted living facility, he actually gave up and asked for hospice. Their indifference to him and their negligence of his care robbed him not only of his physical well-being but also of his will to live; an unhappy decision for us both. That’s when I put him in his wheelchair and pushed him a short distance to Brookdale Overland Park Assisted Living. The residents welcomed a new face and engaged him in conversation while we waited for [name removed]. As she was giving us the tour, one of the residents was delighted to let us see his apartment. Dad was impressed and wanted his questions answered. [name removed] answered many of our questions. When we asked about medications, she introduced us to [name removed], who explained Brookdale’s process using Point Click Care. She showed us the process of tracking the meds from dispensing to ordering and how they are stored. It keeps track of physician orders and care of the resident, demonstrating that we would never have to worry about his medications being correctly administered, overlooked, unavailable, or stolen. The Brookdale protocol eliminates all the deficiencies that were so problematic at his former facility. [Name removed] said she would have [name removed], the Director of Health and Wellness call me for the other questions I had. I was so encouraged to learn of her position as Director of Health and Wellness, rather than merely a Director of Nursing, and I knew then that Brookdale’s corporate culture was indeed different from all the other facilities I have toured. [Name removed] called as promised, and we went over all the details of Dad’s care. Then she carefully explained Brookdale's policies and procedures and ethical standards set in place at the community for the residents. [Name removed] was my advocate throughout the whole process of getting dad admitted and becoming a resident in his new home. I live out of town and am therefore unavailable to visit as often as I would like. This amazing staff communicates with me daily on my dad's needs and care. Whether it be, [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] or [name removed], I get either a phone call, a text, or an email. They are my eyes at ground level. It is a great relief to know we are all on the same page when it comes to my dad! He's ninety-three, an amputee, and has regained his zest for life thanks to the Brookdale staff, which is the embodiment of the Brookdale mission statement and culture of excellence. As a former volunteer Ombudsman, I should know what to look for in finding a place for dad. You can research all you want, read the reviews, tour a facility, but unless the corporate mission statement and a culture of excellence is a part of each staff member's vocation, the quality of care for your loved one will be deficient. I am grateful to each of the staff members at Brookdale Overland Park. I strongly recommend you take a tour and visit with the residents and the associates of Brookdale Overland Park Assisted Living facility before you make a decision, you will be happy you did! We are! Your extremely wonderful staff makes my Dog and I feel safe, secure and cared for. Not one staff member has ever been rude or impatient when talking with me. My family live in New Jersey and they always ask me if I can still happy with Brookdale North. You are very lucky to have those employees. I truly mean what I have said in their review.

Staff were very friendly and involved with residents in this community. Residents looked very happy. Community was very clear and smelt good, clean and fresh.

This is very nice small facility (30-35 residents). Staff is all attentive . The pricing is al a carte.. more you need more you pay.. there is a max is needing the majority of daily services.

Its been a wonderful experience...my father has been happy and well taken care of...he sings their praises...i feel at ease knowing how much care and attention is given to the residents..

All the workers know residents by name. They provide personalized care and attention. All are very helpful, caring, and understanding. I have enjoyed meeting many of the other residents. My Mom is always happy, joins in activities, and likes the food. Their activities director is awesome!!!!!

My father passed away after one month st Brookdale in hospice care. They were truly wonderful to work with, and the care they gave to him was outstanding.

8 weeks in and I am pleased. I am in independent living and my wife in the memory unit. Her care is good and the facility.good. My apartment is excellent with good cleaning etc. The meals a are beyond my expectation. The main meals have : soup, salad,3 main dishes, 3 side dishes ands dessert. All meal are multiple choice—with extras -if desired. Breakfast is buffet with special days each week for imlets,waffle, pancakes, and creamed corn beef. Many special events and always something to do. I am not an employee.

After caring for my husband at home I was exhausted. [Name removed] and [name removed] visited us at home a couple of times and I visited Brookdale with my husbands sister. We were welcomed and made to feel like family. We decided to look no further. My husband settled right in and never asked to go ‘home’. He is home. He feels safe and content.
