Brookdale

From the very beginning, the Brookdale staff were very helpful in assisting me getting my mother in their community. The staff are always clean and the car and atmosphere is very warm and inviting. My mom has settled in quite nicely there and I would definitely recommend Brookdale to people.

Brookdale is great. Love my assignment . Food is good. Suggestions-I would enjoy more musical on movies. Ex: Auntie Mane

All the staff at Brookdale Hickory NE are supportive, caring, and helpful. [name removed] went above and beyond in his patience, communication, and assistance to aid with a very complicated transfer from Florida to NC. As I continued to visit (sometimes an arranged meeting and sometimes impromptu), I was consistently met with smiles and greetings from both the staff and the Residents. In my conversations with the Residents, I found vibrant personalities who showed interest in welcoming a new member to the family and who confirmed that Brookdale Hickory NE is a good place to live with lots of fun activities. I'm a registered nurse with experience in long term care so I can spot trouble very easily. I don't expect perfection because perfection is not realistic in life. What I do expect is for people to do the best that they can and to treat each other like members of their own family. These expectations are fulfilled at Brookdale Hickory NE.

Great area, staff is amazing

We had a great visit and spent time with the sale person. The moment we walked in we were greeted and ask if we wanted anything from the Bistro. The residents seem warm and friendly and willing to assist in answering any questions. This made us feel at ease. We looked at several apartments, the have many floor plans to choose from many more than most communities. We will be moving in towards the middle of January.

This is an active and engaging community. There are several long tenured employees and they seem to go the extra mile for their residents. Location is great and central to most all medical appointments.

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked this community it was our second choice, we had a very good first impression.

I lived to far away from this community and this community also did not have a memory care unit other than this it was a great community. The people were friendly and very helpful.

The administration at Brookdale is always accessible and extremely pleasant and approachable! I go into many communities and Brookdale is the absolute most pleasant, "homey" and friendly. The executive director has a 'hands-on' approach and I love that! The sales manager addresses everyone as if they are family. There's a true spirit of caring & family-like team approach with the staff overall. I would recommend Brookdale Deland to anyone considering an ALF and/or Memory care for themselves or a family member.

Moving a loved one to assisted living is very emotional and can be stressful for all family members involved. When we found Brookdale HR, it was great relief and a blessing. This is such a wonderful place. The staff care for residents as it they have their own family, very professional yet loving, making residents feel special and safe. The community is very clean, bright and offers many fun activities for residents. Highly recommend for your loved one!!!

What a blessing it has been to know that my sister is safe and well cared for during the tragic progression of her memory related conditions. Even during the historic coronavirus pandemic, we could focus or helping ourselves and other, because she was in a good place. Her care team transitioned her seamlessly to memory care so even that hurdle is past us now.

Staff are caring and do their best to help when needed. RA's are helpful front desk is great, always willing to help when needed. {name removed} is wonderful she's very patient and goes above and beyond.

Likes having programs, games to do together. Like the entertainment person.

Our activity leader is exceptional, has kept us entertained and busy through the pandemic. She's amazing so caring treats everyone with love and respect. Has the patience and understanding {name removed} I chose here and love the area.

Likes the other other residents have made good friends. Lobe doing activities and going anywhere on the bus. [name removed]has done a great job is a good driver.

Loves living here. People treat me great and everyone is so nice. I have a beautiful room, it's perfect for me.

Before living here I would come to the BBQ'S and events. I would volunteer and loved it. So I moved in, have a place to garden which brings joy to my life.
