Brookdale

Outstanding staff, enjoy visiting because of staff personally. I am impressed at how they all step up to cover other positions so that my mother is not left waiting for assistance. I like and feel liked by each staff member. I have definitely recommended this facility to others.

I liked Brookdale Mt. Lebanon overall. I liked the rooms, and the staff seemed nice. It was in a nice location. It was just farther away than would have been convenient for our family to come and visit regularly.

We had a great tour and really liked the facility, but my mom was not ready for this type of care yet.

Best care and facility in Hickory. Happy to have found this gem and was able to get my mother moved in without a hitch. Staff are all very friendly and truly care for my mom and all the other residents.

I lived here for 8 years. I enjoy everyone that lives here. I have back up if needed.

I think this is a very nice place. I'm able to have my two cats with me and I've not had any problems with staff. I've been able to stay in the area where I had my first property to have my mom on and I do miss it, but know this will work better for me. I'm fortunate to have access to something this nice.

We had a wonderful tour with Brookdale. It was clean and the staff were great. It was a little too expensive for what we were looking for.

Our family had an in person tour set up and scheduled, but after looking at another facility first we decided to choose that one just because it was closer in proximity. However the staff came out to assess our loved one and determine what his medical needs would be and they were wonderful. They all were super helpful, friendly and super communicative. They did such a good job helping us understand this difficult and stressful process.

So far, we are very pleased with staff. Super nice and willing to work with you on making loved one feel at home and adjusting.

Everyone is very nice. Listen when you have any problems. Correct all issues promptly. Food choices are limited. Sometimes wait times are very long. Plus hours to be served, need food service helpers.

This was a good community however, they were a bit on the higher end.

From the first call that I made to them, they walked us through everything, helped set everything up, and kept in contact to give us updates on how mom was doing. When you walk by anyone who works there they would always greet you with a smiling face. The activities director was excellent, all of residents seemed to really enjoy the activities he put on and had a lot of fun. You could not ask for a nicer place, we would highly, highly recommend Brookdale Grandon Farms to others.

My experience with Brookdale Carrollton was awesome and I had a great time working with them, they were totally amazing.They were so helpful in every single way that they could be and really helped my loved ones out.

My mom was previously living in an assisted living community that had deteriorated during Covid. Quality of care was poor. I'm elated that my mom now lives in a Brookdale community. The staff is top notch and always willing to assist you or your loved one.

The day I came in for a tour everyone made my mom feel at home. I was introduced to each staff member and they all gave me a detailed description of their role. I was really impressed to know that staff had been employed in the community for over 2 decades. The welcome was so warm and the staff seemed more like family than coworkers. I am looking forward to moving mom to her home away from home. I would give 10 stars if ten was an option.

My wife and I moved into the community December 2020 and stayed until Mayor of 2021 after my wifes death. I moved in with my daughter who lives nearby. I'm missed the fellowship of Brookdale and moved back as soon as space was available. I enjoy recreation and fun activities, the care of the staff. It's a loving community.

Brookdale is a good place for my elder loved one. The place is clean when I'm there and does not have a smell in the public areas. The food is good. The staff seem nice & dependable. If a resident depends on family for decision-making, like my loved one, Brookdale is good to call. The only time there was a communication problem was when my loved one caught covid before there was a vaccine and had to spend about a week in the hospital and several more weeks in special rehab before returning to Brookdale. Thankfully they saved her spot. She was initially still charged for extra care she was not getting from Brookdale because she was not in that facility for about a month. But after several emails & phone calls over a few months, Brookdale reimbursed us. As much as covid affected thing, our delayed reimbursement, was the only real hiccup. They did have reasonable visit restrictions before shots were available. Once covid shots were available, the residents all got shots.
