Brookdale

This is really a senior apartment with assistance if your loved one needs it. It's NOT assisted living, which we understand, but others may not. The staff communication is pretty good. My mother in law sometimes expects too much from staff. She asked them if someone could bring her a new light bulb. She has never lived in an apartment, so she has to lower her expectations. I live nearby, so I can help her with those requests. Staff is good for most part. I would suggest that there are some things that would help ALL residents if Staff would be willing to do, i.e. TV issues, simple cell phone issues, air conditioning and heat regulating. These are simple things, but if you have poor eyesight or mild memory issues, they are very frustrating. I never see other residents' family members visiting, so I don't see how they get these items addressed.

Prior to [name removed] coming here I was very dissatisfied with prior management and I placed a deposit at a different company. Since [name removed] has been here I’ve seen substantial improvements and based upon those improvements instituted by [name removed] I canceled my moving plans and have decided to stay. To date my decision has been a good one.

My family and loved one had a wonderful experience with the community. The staff are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. The community has always been clean when we have visited our loved one. There are meals and activities for the residents to participate in and assist with socialization. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others.

They are kind, caring , very loving. Excellent care. Very pleasant and cheerful atmosphere. Everything is absolutely wonderful at Brookdale.

My loved one is a resident at Brookdale Eagan and everything has been great about her experience at this facility. They have very friendly staff and nurses that care. The housekeeping is great! The friendliness and activities are great. The value for cost is also great. I'm not sure about the quality of the meals. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends!

When I first arrived for a tour, one of the very first things I noticed about Deer Creek was the fact it does not have that dirty smell. You can tell they do take great lengths to keep the building and residents as clean as possible. The next thing was I was greeted very warmly by the staff. [name removed] was an absolute delight to answer my many questions and tour the building with me. She introduced me to the other staff members as we walked around, including the executive director, chef, and several caregivers, as well as the Health and Wellness Director. The one thing that was crystal clear to me was the way the staff CARES about the residents & their well being. We got to sample some of the food being served for lunch (it was not planned, so no “special meal” was prepared) and quite frankly, it was delicious. If our family had in fact decided to relocate our mother to Florida, we definitely would have chose Deer Creek. It’s a warm and wonderful community

Brookdale has exceeded my expectations. My father was in another facility that could not figure out how to care for him due to his Dementia in spite of their being a Memory Care facility. Brookdale staff have skill and patience and truly care about their residents.

I know that there is a shortage of employees at times, but all facilities seem to have that same problem. Even so, they are very responsive with any and all questions or concerns. The food is very good. And the staff are very friendly and caring.

I rate all 8 categories a 5. I was extremely pleased with the care my husband got, their sense of community and their concern for me. The main reason we chose Brookdale Centre Pointe Boulevard initially was because of the quality of care for the residents as well as families and available daily activities provided. Room sizes in memory care are spacious. my loved one had a queen bed, dresser, and recliner and there was plenty of room to maneuver his wheelchair.

My dad is currently a resident at Brookdale Southfield. The place reminds one of a hotel with a large lobby. It's very clean, the staff is nice , and the residents are from all cultures and backgrounds. The food is tasty. It's only been a few months, but my father really likes it. I would recommend this facility to others.

We toured Brookdale Utica Memory Care when searching for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. The tour was good and comprehensive. However, we were not thrilled about the community shower. There was also a considerable price difference when comparing the cost to other facilities in the area.

My mom is a resident at Brookdale Arrowhead Ranch. The meals are good, the staff is very friendly, it's small enough that all the staff know all of the residents, they have a very pretty and well-cared for courtyard that is completely surrounded by the building so my mom can have her desired outdoor space without the fear of getting lost. Overall they have been very friendly and accommodating and I would recommend the facility to others, especially for residents who may need extra observation due to memory issues but don't have advanced enough Alzheimer's/dementia yet to need a Memory Care unit, though they have that too.

Brookdale was a wonderful assisted living facility. I would rate each area a 5. When I choose a facility for myself it will be Brookdale of Utica. The staff was so very caring and efficient! My brother was in assisted living when he became very ill. They fed him, helped him bathe and took excellent care of him. He eventually was sent to the hospital but until then he got much better care at Brookdale than in any nursing home. They just immediately stepped up his services. The staff took care of him just as if he were their own relative. No cost change. They just loved him. Any family member would definitely like to know that fact.

The staff here is amazing. They're very in tune with the residents needs and wishes. There is already an activity going on and fun outings planned as well. Outdooor time is plentiful. I would highly recommend Brookdale for your loved one.

Level of care and service is outstanding. This is the best place for mom.

Everyone at Brookdale River Road, including residents, is friendly. The employees are great and are very helpful and will bend over backwards to help. They have actually called to help and we were able to come up with a solution.

Living at Brookdale for two years has been a very good experience. I feel cared for in this atmosphere. Top of the best and feel safe and well cared for. My friends have told me I have been lucky to be at Broodkale

We moved our parents from their farm to Brookdale in two days. The staff was incredible and caring. Their reputation was excellent in every way and they lived up to their reviews. We highly recommend Brookdale to your family member!

I had to place Mom in memory care after she wandered away from home. The staff at Brookdale were friendly, compassionate, and caring, making our experience pleasant. Would highly recommend!
