Brookdale

I like the place, they just need to update the lobby and it's bathrooms. The food is "eh" compared to some of the other places and needs to be brought up to a better quality. But the staff is nice, which is a very important thing because you feel like you can leave your loved ones there and they are safe.

So far we have been able to come to the table on a few things in regards to my moms overall care; like what she needs and does not need, and what they are charging her for. So as long as they are able to come to the table and nothing is set in stone, we are good.

So far it has been okay at Brookdale Tyler East. It is very clean. The staff keep the residents really active. So far it's been a wonderful experience. They have been attentive to moms needs. The only thing I would say they need to improve on is a little more communication. I would like more updates on how mom is doing whether it be major or minor. Overall it's been a really good experience here.

The activities are good, but they need to encourage the residents to attend more. They also fail to have activities on the weekends and the holidays due to the limited staff they have. Those are really the main things.

They have been great. They have been very helpful. For the most part everyone is pretty friendly, and the keep it clean. Sometimes the response time is a little slow, and their attention to detail could use a little improvement. They offer plenty of activities. He says he likes the food, and they were pretty close in price to the other place we were considering.

Initial experience at Brookdale very good. Only concern is the response time when Mom pushes her call button. We'll see how this evolves in the weeks ahead.

At Brookdale Collin Oaks the specific weak point is the food here. The menu is all over the place. It seems like they have inappropriate choices for the residents. The sides are all starches. The chef doesn't follow the recommended menu. They run out of supplies on things as basic as milk. Even how they prepare the food isn't good. For example the chicken salad had fruit cocktail mixed in it. The chef is relatively new and I just don't think he is doing well. Also another area that needs improvement is their organization in the beginning as they have the residents move in. Initially when my grandmother was moving in things were pretty haphazard. I had filled out forms and then they lost them. Things have settled down now and are fine but it was pretty rough at the beginning.

We are really happy with Brookdale Fort Myers Cypress Lake. There is nothing I would mention for them to improve on. I am very pleased with this facility. The staff are really nice here and it's a clean facility.

Everybody is just very helpful and they answer any questions I have. The staff always has a smile on. I wish it wasn't as expensive as it is, but nothing you can do about that. They have been great though.

Everybody has been exceptionally helpful with the move-in and with any questions I have had since then. As far as the facility and the employees that work there, it has all worked out very well. I didn't know some of the information regarding costs at the time of move-in, and the cost and additional fees for additional care was a surprise.

I really like the nursing staff a lot. They have been really helpful, and they go beyond. I appreciate all the communication, they call me all the time. On the other hand, the director has been difficult to get in touch with, though that has been the case before we ever moved in. It's very clean and the food is good. It was a little bit more than what we wanted, but we really liked how clean it was and how good the staff was.

Overall I think they do a good job at Brookdale Pinecastle. It's a nice looking place, and the staff are friendly and do a very good job taking care of the place. They've also got great food! I do think their medical service could be a bit better, I had to wait a few days before I was able to be seen by the visiting doctor, which is a long time to wait if you're hurting.

Very nice and clean facility and grounds. Saw some very positive interactions between the staff and residents. Kim was an excellent guide and presentor of all that Brookdale could be for my dad.

I though that the whole process was good, from admissions to the communication; it was efficient and quick and any concerns I had were addressed. Everybody was just very friendly and I like the idea that it is a small environment so that they know my mom well and encourage her to go out and participate.

I cant really speak to much about Brookdale Lodi because I am not the one who is there all the time. There are good and bad things about this facility. He seems okay. It is probably one of the better facilities when I think about it. But again I am not there after hours to know what all goes on.

I toured here when we were looking for options. I liked it, it was a nice place. There were a lot of nice places, though with friendly people. This just wasn't the one for my loved one, but I would have friends check it out if they were looking. It was one of the nice ones.

I think that it depends on the nurses who are on duty. One nurse we are in love with, but the other one is always short with us when we call, which is frustrating because I was told I could call at any time.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. It was a little on the expensive side, however. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

Brookdale Peoria Union Hills is a very clean property. I am very happy with the way things are going at this facility so far. This is a new experience for me so I don't have to much do say but so far everything is going well.

Emeritus at Brighton is now Brookdale at Brighton. The people there are just wonderful. The facility is very clean. I will say one slight negative is that the staff is almost too attentive. My mom is very self sufficient and the staff sometimes over step some boundaries with her. We have spoken with them about this and they are resolving the issue. Also at the beginning we were told they would give mom a buddy to get acclimated and this didn't happen. I was pretty disappointed about that. The food at this facility is not very good at all. Overall I am really happy with this place, just a few quirks that I would like to see changed.
