Brookdale

My only complaint is really that they do not have enough staff to help. Sometimes the residents have to wait for a long time the staff to help, particularly at mealtimes. She seems very happy there and that is the most important thing.

I think that with the medication management and getting things managed they did a good job with that. I think initially the move-in worked well, but we had some difficulties with other parts of the care plan.

Brookdale Brighton is going great. She is making friends and adjusting well. Everything is going along just fine. I have no complaints about this facility. I have been very pleased with the experience here.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

We were really impressed with them when we went for the tour. It was very clean, it looked more like a house than a facility. There was room for reading and that kind of thing. My father was concerned because he felt like their should have been some sort of orientation or some info about who to contact and he said he just kind of had to feel his way through the process, which at the time was not easy. I asked for physical therapy and it took them a while to get that started too. Overall though, I think it's a good value.

I really like Brookdale Tyler South. The staff and the activities directors here are really good. The only improvement I would say that needs to be made is that the front doors need painting. I really think that would make a better first impression. Overall I really like this facility.

Had to move Dad on very short notice into assisted living. Folks here were extremely helpful and friendly.

We have liked it at Brookdale Oakwell. There are a few things that need improving. For instance one day I discovered she didn't have a top sheet on her bed. Also one time I walked in and she had the same clothes on from the day before. The food is good. The staff are jolly. They aren't the sharpest knives in the tool box though. I am outraged at the cost but it seems comparable to other places like it. There are one or two staff members that are lazy and don't want to work. They seem to just be waiting for their time there to be over.

I am not too happy with some things at Brookdale Hockessin. I am being charged for some thing that I am not receiving. I am having a hard time with aids at this facility. The staff here assessed mom as being able to be in assisted living, but once they got her in they decided this is not the place for her. It is an adjustment, they accepted her in, they should keep her for a while. I told them everything upfront. I am hoping to keep her here a while longer and maybe she will settle down. I am just not happy with the way they have handled things here.

We are still in the honeymoon phase at Brookdale Central Chandler. She seems to stay pretty active here. It has definitely been a transition and these situations are never easy. There is nothing specific I can say at this point to have them improve on at this facility.

Overall it's going pretty well. Communication with the family could be better, I thought we would get more updates just on general things. It would be nice to know if there is going to be a new doctor, or just how things are going, a general update. It's very clean, and there are lots of activities. I really don't have any complaints, other than the communication.

Mom needed more care than the nurse assessed at Brookdale Springdale. Mom was there for 2 and 1/2 weeks and it was a downward spiral for her. This facility just didn't have enough help. It seemed clean and the staff were friendly. It just wasn't a good fit for mom.

I think the most important caregiver need is friendliness and love. The caregivers are well suited to this

We are happy with them so far. No complaints at this point. We have been here for a while now and it's working out so far.

I really like it because it is smaller than some of the other Brookdale communities, so you get to know all the staff and the residents better. They are good to my mom, which is what really matters to me.

Overall the move in was very smooth and the room was ready for us when we got there. There were a few issues with the cable that could have been taken care of ahead of time, but overall it was very good. They payed close attention to my mom, so they have been good at making sure she is comfortable and getting acclimated.

Dad is not happy at Brookdale Uptown Whittier. The staff need to be more attentive to the needs of their residents. They need more care. They also need a social committee together to help new residents get acclimated. The place itself is lovely. It seemed very nice but once we got him in they do not give a care. I have asked many times to get dad a life alert button and they said they ordered it. Well, it's been over a month and he still hasn't gotten it.

Overall the facility was nice, I would like to recognize Lasonga, she was the care nurse in charge (not sure if that is exactly how you spell her name) she was very nice and caring, experience overall was pleasant.....

So far she seems to be enjoying it. From what I hear the people are friendly, and it's clean. She seems to be happy. I don't live nearby, but no complaints at all so far.

Wynwood at Forgate which is now Brookdale could improve on how many activities they have. The staff are very sincere and caring at this facility. They are very friendly here.
