Brookdale

Enjoyed the tour, answered all my questions. My mother seemed pleased and comfortable. Went in thinking I couldn't consider this before she was beyond my care but left feeling like having interaction with others her age could be beneficial in such a warm environment. The remodel is coming along nicely, I feel like if finished I would have given it a 5.

Mother is going back to Brookdale Danville Diablo Road on Saturday actually. The staff was terrific there. I looked at several places and this one seemed to have the best value. One thing I did find annoying is I had to keep calling them to get everything finalized to get mom in. I have a lot going on and I wish I didn't have to follow up quite as much to get things done. But the staff was really good with her especially considering she doesn't like being away from me. I highly recommend this facility to anyone especially for short term respite care. Most places don't allow anyone to stay for just 10 days, this one does.

My loved one lived here for a year. It was a fine place, until she needed more care than they offered. It was clean and the staff were friendly enough. But when she landed in the hospital nobody came to see her or even seemed to know. This really is just independent living.

At Clare Bridge of Cary everybody is just really friendly and super helpful. I am sure it's hard to keep up but I would have the cleanliness and organization improve. My dads bead spread is not in his room but he has someone else's. I know with the type of patients they are dealing with it's hard to keep up. But there has been a lot of confusion with a lot of laundered items.

My parents were overwhelmed with an overfilled house that was filled with maintenance challenges. Both have early dementia. Now, they are happily settled in their new Brookdale apartment and LOVING it! Staff were so amazing, moving them in with less than one week notice from the time we had to revoke my parents' driving privileges. Within less than one week, our family has gone from crisis to gratitude. My parents live just minutes from my family. And, best of all -- their beloved cats are with them and happily settled in their sun-bathed apartment! Meals are fantastic. The activities out of the building could be increased, but as this gracious new community grows, we are confident that more outings will be added. Staff are so flexible about decorating the apartments, encouraging and helping residents to decorate and personalize their homes. We LOVE it!

There is a huge problem with the billing and that whole thing. I really think that the reason is because there is one person trying to be the director over two facilities and also the finances and that is just impossible. So it is not really her fault, but it is frustrating for us because it just a mess. But other than that it is very clean and all the people are doing a good job. We were very pleased and my sister has improved greatly since she has been there.

I liked this facility very much. It had the activity level I was wanting for my mom. The shared space concept was not as deterring as I thought. However, the location is not really on my path of travels.

It was impressive to myself and my brother that they really know their residents. It is not even just the medical staff, it is everybody there. They try to keep them active and offer them all these things to do.

I wish we would have known the extent of the construction being done there because we would have held off because one of the things they were doing is replacing the air conditioning and that concerned me with people in there 70's and 80's living there. Other than that my loved one has enjoyed herself there and has made friends and likes it.

The food is excellent and the people in the dining room work really hard with the people who come in and that is very satisfactory and they do a good job. The care-giving leaves a lot to be desired. there is a big turnover and there is a lot of inexperience. They just don't have much training, only maybe the fundamental basics. They don't want to get involved with the residents, not a lot of heart in terms of care.

Brookdale Overland Park the staff was very responsive and easy to work with as far as the move went. When my parents were touring the facility we noticed the bathroom needed updating and they actually updated it by the time they moved in. The food is excellent there. It was such a struggle to get my parents there and now that they are they are so happy. They are always talking about how nice the residents are at Brookdale Overland Park. It has made their lives so much easier and mine too. The staff are just darling.

They renovated part of it so half of it is immaculate and they are working on the other half. It was a very nice experience, the staff is very friendly and helpful and answer your questions. Overall we are very pleased with it, for the courtesy of both the staff and the residents.

We are very pleased with the care our loved ones are receiving. We were in another facility and we had some very disappointing things happen and that was one of the reasons we came over to Brookdale Auburn.

Well we moved over to Brookdale Robinwood from another facility and this facility is a much better improvement from the other place we were at, so we are very satisfied with what we have going on over here.

I think the staff at Wynwood of Niskavuna need to be more on the same page with regard to financing issues. It has been very confusing for me so I'm not too happy with that part. However that is my only issue at this time. Overall the facility is a good place.

This is one of the worst places in the world. My mom is in the memory care unit and I believe it is dangerous there. The residents are not helped, watched or taken care of. They sit in front of the tv most days and nights. Please do not go here,,,,,she has not had glasses on for four of my visits in two weeks, has left the facility without underwear and her room is filthy.

We liked the location and the feel of the place. It didn't smell, and the memory care unit was small, which I liked. Mom might not be ready for that yet, but it will be there when she does. We liked the staff we met and the office manager. Everyone was very down to earth. And we can afford it, with some work, so it ticks most of the boxes. Have a feeling mom will not like the setting (not a house). We'll keep looking, but best so far.

The staff at Brookdale Highlands Ranch is very friendly. For the most part they try hard. There might be some supervisor issues that allowed some things to fall between the cracks. We are very dissatisfied with the physician group. Mom is no longer here. We needed to get her out after she was starting to go downhill. There were several lapses in care here that caused us to leave.

I think the staff went out of their way to be helpful. I was very pleased with all the support they gave us. The only thing is about activities, the property is landlocked so there is no way to expand out and I think that was limiting in what the residents could do. Overall, I was very, very pleased with it. It is very neat and very clean.

From hearing what my aunt says, I would say they need to improve on their food and the cleaning that is suppose to be done with the bathroom and the apartment. We were a little disappointed with that when we last visited.
