Merrill Gardens

It is a great place. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Merrill Gardens, Ballard.

Merrill Gardens was clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The residents I met were VERY happy. I met a group of them congregated around the mailbox chatting with each other while they waited for the mailman to come. There were snacks for the residents in the lobby. They had an on-call nurse 24 hours a day. They offered great activities. Assisted living was all on one floor, which was great. I have nothing but great things to say about them - they were absolutely amazing!

There are so many selections on the menu here . The soup changes daily as well as the two daily specials. Some of my favorite anytime selections include shrimp and grits, the club sandwich and the anytime breakfast omelette .

Incredibly accommodating. They look out for my loved one and care about them. They also do the little things that help me as well like taking any deliveries of groceries or meals from DoorDash up to their apartment for my loved one.

Our experience with a Place for Mom and Merrill Gardens at Barkley place has been top-notch. Mom loves living there. The management is very good. My mom says Barkley place is the best place she has ever stayed that is a assisted living Independent Living place.

It was a very easy coordination process getting my family member there. [name removed], the marketing coordinator, was great. Everything came together very quickly and they greeted her with a lot of friendliness. She felt very welcomed into the community. They quickly got her set up with medical care. And they've done a great job letting us know if there are any issues and letting us know what's going on.

The staff have been wonderful.

I love it, and I think anyone else would like it here too. The main reasons I love living here are the friendliness and the participation of the other residents. I like the activities as well, which include bingo, cards, chair volleyball using a beachball, and exercise classes even though I don't normally participate in those. I have a 1 bedroom studio that has a little area with a microwave and a stovetop, but no oven. I've got four big windows in the living area, it's nice and it's all need. I would recommend Merrill Gardens at Columbia to others.

Excellent, except you need money to afford it. But if you have a good, healthy monthly income, it's a fantastic place. I'd live there if I could afford it. I really did think the grounds and buildings were immaculate. Lovely all around

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They interact with the seniors and treat them well. They pay attention to their needs and know when something is off with them. They treat my father very well.

I now live at Truewood, and I'm enjoying it very much.

Overall they've done a good job helping my loved one transition into the community - both in getting him engaged in and participating in activities and in general just taking care of him.

I ws very happy with the service, and quality of the care services.

The staff is really great. The food was excellent. The community is a little pricey. Overall, the staff is helpful, and they take good care of the client. I appreciate the facility.

I would tell others about how friendly everyone is at Truewood and how much they care about the patients. They've demonstrated this by informing me about everything, interacting with all of the residents, and in the way they take care of the patients in a very caring way. In regards to activities, I'm not saying it's bad, but they maybe they could modify them for those who have dementia. Right now it isn't as engaging as it could be for memory care residents. Communication between the community and myself is good. They contact me if there's a problem, but I'm there often so we do have that in-person communication as well. Overall I would recommend Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle to others.

A Place for Mom was very professional, and my mom loves it at Truewood by Merrill Fig Garden! Mom Loves the people, and the people Love her.

I liked the Marketing Director and the community. There are larger spaces for activities for the residents to use for a game room, but the building is a bit older. The community was a bit further from family and this was the downfall.

The staff is very personable. The community does a good job at keeping the residents active. The staff are great at keeping the family involved and updated about our loved one. The responsiveness to our questions is fabulous, and if they don't know an answer they find it and get back to us quickly. My loved one enjoys the meals, and the residents have choices to choose from.

We had a virtual tour of Truewood by Merrill Boise. The gal who led the tour was very nice and through. I thought it looked like a nice place. We just preferred to stay in a different target location.

The tortilla soup was good tonight. I love the Mexican entrée.
