Merrill Gardens

I would have researched it more. It sits on a dangerous street, and I wouldn't recommend the community for this reason. They don't have help to get the residents to stores or shopping. The rate is great. The manager isn't nice or the lady at the front desk. The caregivers are nice.

We chose Truewood by Merrill because of the availability and the options of care. The room sizes here are fine. I think communication with the nursing staff is really important. I like how they set up a doctor for our loved one and they work well with different insurance. They are also good with communication if there are any concerns. If I text them, it can take a while for them to answer so I think quicker response times could be useful. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose this facility because of their health record, the proximity to family, and the lack of covid cases at the time that we transferred her and their covid safety protocols. They send emails frequently and are semi responsive to requests made but I do know they are busy. My mom loves the food and has had no complaints about it. I would recommend to others looking.

Of all the other places I checked out, cost-wise this one was a whole lot better. The other places were thousands a month, and this one is much more affordable. The staff have been great to me. Even the management is nice. They're all friendly, and they all talk to me when they see me. The halls and the reception area, everything is clean. Outside is a different story. By the weekend, the trash gets overly full and people just leave trash bags on the ground and broken furniture sitting around. There is not a rating low enough for the food. It's awfully bland, and I understand that to a point. It's pretty typical institutional food. But the apartments are fine, a little small, but fine. For one person, it's a good deal.

When we were considering Merrill Gardens at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson through [name removed] , A PLACE FOR MOM, we were apprehensive because there were no recent positive reviews on this property. We pointed this out to [name removed] and she was sympathetic to our concern and helped us look at many other properties that had a heated swimming pool during the winter. We have now been to Merrill Gardens at Green Valley Ranch for two months. We are quite satisfied with our choice of coming here. The general manager, [name removed] has been extremely helpful and responsive in helping us with our needs. We are now enjoying the 86 degree pool every day. The meals are wonderful with fresh fruits and salad daily. We want to thank the chief chef, [name removed]. Weekly entertainment by professionals accompanied with enjoyable wine came a pleasant surprise. [name removed], the program director, does a splendid job and works very hard in many areas for our well-being.

When my loved one visited, she didn't care for it. She found it kind of dark. It could use another coat of paint, and the common areas and courtyards could use some attending to. But when I talked to my family about Barkley Place, we agreed it was the best place for my loved one based on the care that she needed. The staff and the food is great. It's centrally located to a great deal of good medical care. It's close to any shopping you would want, the mall, Publix, Cost-Co. It's not far from the beaches. If your loved one is in better health, we wish there were a place to put in a walking path, because we see a lot of the residents out walking in the parking lot. Housekeeping comes weekly. They don't' clean the way I clean, but they do a decent job. Overall it's a very friendly community. There are some elementary school cliques, but you'd have that anywhere you go. Breakfast is a little monotonous, scrambled eggs everyday. They could use a little more variety, but overall the food is pretty good. I would recommend and have recommended Barkley Place to others.

I like the fact that I can see my loved one when needed. This works for both of us. We are able to see our loved one each day. The food is good, and they cook a lot of things.

The community is a memory care facility and we were not sure if she needed it and was hoping for assisted living. I don't know if I would recommend this community because covid has not let us see how it is normal.

[name removed] led the tour and had honest and complete answers for all of our questions. We liked the larger room floor plan. We got a better "family" vibe here than at Waterford.

The community is a good facility, they have services like housekeeping and laundry you can get. My husband and I would like to live there if we have the oppertunity. I would recommend this community to others.

The communication has not been very good from the care givers here at Arbor Sqaure. The meals here were getting quite pricey, when she moved to independent living it was $25 a meal but I do know the food was good and they are chef prepared meals. They do provide a lot of activities for the residents but our loved one does not participate. From what I understand, they have had some staff with COVID, but none of the residents have gotten it which is amazing. I would recommend this community to others looking.

The rooms at Bridgecreek West community would be a five out of five, but the food is what is lacking, it would be more around a two out of five. However, we would still recommend this community to others.

My loved ones ended up with a small apartment that didn't have a refridgertoar or stove. The community is a nice place for your loved ones though. The staff were very nice. My loved ones and I enjoyed the food when I visited.

We chose Merrill Gardens at Solivita because of the location and the price was in our range. The apartment sizes here are pretty spacious, they do also have variety based on what you need. I have eaten here and the food is good. I like the fact that this community calls the residents every morning to check in on them. If they don't answer, someone goes to knock on their door to make sure everything is ok. I would recommend.

We chose The Legacy at Georgetown because we got a very good vibe from the personnel during the tour. The room sizes here are average compared to some others we saw and they do have options on room sizes. My mother complains about the food, but I do think they put out a nice menu with variety. Overall, I would recommend.

I think the community is doing the job we wanted, in keeping our loved one safe. My loved one's room still isn't set up all the way due to the lock down due to COVID, right after move in. The menu doesn't seem to be offering a wide selection for different dietary needs, according to my loved one. It's a great place, everyone is friendly. The one thing I would make sure to tell people is to scrutinize the accounting.

We chose Sheldon Park because it was specific to my dads needs. The room sizes here are pretty comparable to everything else we saw. My dad is pretty satisfied with the food here and has had no complaints. I would say the best part about the community so far has been the responsiveness that the staff members have to issues that arise. I would recommend this community to others.

We really liked how when we came to first visit this community, all the residents seemed really engaged with each other as well as the staff. They were doing things all the time. The rooms are very comfortable at this community, however some of the room styles are more difficult to decorate but you just have to get creative. The rooms were all kept very clean. This community has a lot of natural light and is very airy. Our loved one is very happy with the food, she really enjoys all of it. We have been very pleased with this community

Looks nice. The pool,Generators for loss of power,Stackable washer dryer availability in the apartment as well as Happy Hour are all a plus. [name removed] may miss her old church community in Cape Coral, but we shall see how much of an issue that is.

Studio apts viewed. Nice residential neighborhood. Full utilities in rent. Convenient to medical and shopping resources.
