I toured with Encore at Maplewood and loved it. The price was less, the rooms were beautiful, it just looked like a great facility. When we told them our loved ones needs, they just did not seem as equipped or willing to take on the needs that she had.

Very friendly staff. They personally met with my mother to evaluate her case and she was admitted very quickly. The place is very clean and they seem to have a lot of activities available for the residents. They have been very responsive to my requests for paperwork, etc.

We are so pleased overall with this place! The staff is wonderful!

I toured Hickory Park Senior Living and I liked it. It was a good tour, but it wasn't a good fit for us. My husband is in mild dementia and because of that, they felt they couldn't take him.

I attended an open house looking to place a family member. I was welcomed immediately by both staff and residents. The residents and staff were equally as excited to show me their home. As anyone can imagine, transitioning a parent is an extremely difficult process. After spending a great deal of time answering all of my questions, the staff and residents left me excited for my family members future instead of the aprehension that comes with placement. Bless you for your beautiful facility that feels like home.

There are a lot of activities. The staff is friendly. They're very easy to communicate with, and they're willing to talk to the family members about any situation. The care is good overall. They check on my loved one every couple of hours and throughout the night. It's a small facility, so it's very cozy and comfortable.

I give all categories a 5. My dad really likes it there. The only thing he complains about is the van/bus they use to take trips. It's super old and has no shocks so the old folks are tossed around and could possibly get hurt. Dad won't ride it anymore because it hurts his back too much to bounce around like that. My dad is hard to please so if he likes it, it must be nice!

Really appreciate the caring and compassionate staff. Huge improvement over where our loved one was at the previous place. Everything really is wondeful.

Very clean & efficient & dependable for anyone. Staff are dependable cheerful/happy, they make you feel good and welcome. Very good food! Cheerful people, very clean and nice, not unclean. Pleasant place to live. It makes life worth living. It's the best senior living home.

1-I would say the facility is very clean and the personnel was ample, polite and professional. They really went out of their way to help with the admission process for my grandmother. The Director of nursing, [name removed], is wonderful and kind. Honestly can't say enough good things about this place.-

Staff was very supportive and engaging when my 89 year old mother moved there(and still are). They followed through with all my concerns and requests. Caretakers have a positive attitude. Staff communicates promptly with me. The environment is clean, bright and comfortable.

My mom is a resident but it more feels like a family atmosphere the staff is very kind courteous and professional it is a very emotional time for any family to go through but the staff was there every step of the way

After helping care for another loved one in a memory facility, I was pleasantly surprised by how cleaned and well maintained the facility is. The staff is awesome and very attentive so far, our mother has only been there a few weeks. The nurses are very educated and experienced in memory care, the physical therapist that works with our mom( [name removed]) is phenomenal! The nurses assistant that help her shower and dressed and ready for bed are also very good. As stated previously we hope this continues for the rest of her stay at Encore and this type of care is maintained throughout her stay.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was fine we interviewed with the staff and they were nice but based on first impression it just did not really make us that excited

All would be a 5- excellent! It is a wonderful place- my mom loves it because they are very personable- the staff is friendly and helpful and they paired her up with someone to do her meals with, and she now has friends!

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The staff is awesome and I would recommend Bellevue Senior Living.

We love Heritage of Portage. They take really good care of my parents and do a great job. I go in there and the other residents and staff tell me how sweet my parents are. The staff are wonderful and do their best to try and make everyone happy. We are very pleased with the whole experience and have already recommended them to our friends and family.

5/5 overall with the exception of staff, but the issues were much more a management problem than a staff problem. We've had difficulties due to staff turnover, trying to get ahold of people who no longer worked there and was never told about the change of personnel/had to investigate and gradually find out on my own the nurse and others had suddenly left. Staff has allowed people to take Mom out of the facility without notifying me , I've spoken to Management about it, hopefully it doesn't happen again. We like it. It is very good overall and otherwise, just minor difficulties.

Smaller community, and they give what truly matters to the seniors, quality care. So many communities say they give the best care and fall short. This community truly cares and it shows. The staff care.
